The villa was absolutely fantastic with more than enough space for our family (2 adults and 2 kids). We really enjoyed our little personal hot tub, which was right outside the villa. There was also a little fire pit next to the tub and we had the fire going one night and it was really cozy. Outside of the villa, the staff was fantastic, especially Santiago and Theresa! Santiago was always available to answer any questions and help us out with anything and everything while Theresa was present every morning to cook us a wonderful breakfast of fruits, fruit juice, coffee, eggs, bread and pancakes! This place was very close to the airport (10-12 mins drive) and we definitely recommend this place to everyone and anyone!

We did not have any kind of negative experience nor did we dislike anything at this wonderful place!

I loved the gorgeous garden setting, the sound of the birds, the beautiful colours everywhere, views of the mountains and friendly service. I also loved the layout and aesthetic of my ‘junior suite’, it was so quirkily furnished and full of character. Everything in my suite was very clean. Wifi worked fine.

Sound of planes - but to be expected and no big deal. I couldn’t see any air conditioning/temp control. (Maybe they had it but couldn’t find it). Wasn’t an issue at all when I visited because the weather wasn’t too hot, but perhaps in the height of summer it could be. I don’t know how warm it gets.

Philipe was very helpful in ensuring my travel to and from the airport was possible and also helped me with dinner plans! He went out of his way to ensure I was comfortable and was at the airport on time for my early morning departure to the Galapagos Islands. Super helpful thank you Philipe, very kind of you! The location was beautiful and walking distance to nearby small village. Very close to airport which was convenient for me.

There was a loud alarm that went off in the middle of the night, plus some loud guests. But this is not the fault of the staff or owners.

Perfect for a layover, 10 min ride from the airport. This hostel gives you a taste of the local country experience, local food and people. If you want to experience a little bit of the culture of Ecuador, this is the place for you! And don't worry if you don't speak Spanish, the host speaks English so you'll be fine! Also, the place is so quiet, I think the quietest I've been in years, very peaceful.

You can hear the planes all the time and maybe some dogs barking? But I think that's understandable and normal for a place so close to the airport, so it didn't bother me too much.

The breakfast and staff were wonderful, the setting was beautiful, it was so convenient to the airport, the kids were so happy the pool was open!

The bunk bed top bunk was incredibly wobbly with no rails, so close to the ceiling you couldn't sit upright, so that bed was really not usable for us and my kids had to sleep together in the bottom bunk. I wish the hottubs had been open.

Very convenient to the airport, and you can arrange shuttle/taxi service to and from the airport through the hotel for $10 each way. They were very responsive through booking.com messaging and are so friendly in person. The included breakfast is excellent, and you can also have dinner at a reasonable additional cost—just let them know at breakfast if you'll want dinner that night. I loved my little room! Very cozy, and WiFi worked well. The property is lovely to spend time on. It's warmer here than in the actual city of Quito, so the pool is a nice perk, and they have a quiet, peaceful gazebo that was pleasant to sit and read and journal in. There's a sweet little pond near the main building with interesting-looking ducks. A step outside of the property takes you to nice views of a deep gorge cut by a river. This is a family-run business, and it was so nice to get to meet all of them—including the cat! Not everyone there speaks English, so if you don't know Spanish well, be prepared with Google Translate or similar. I look forward to staying at Hosteria Colibri Aeropuerto again in the future.

You're close to the airport, so it's only natural that once in a while you'll hear the loud roar of an airplane engine—but they didn't come by as frequently as I'd have thought, and the sleeping hours were quiet. During the day, it was pretty cool to watch the planes flying overhead.

The accommodations are simple, but comfortable. The grounds are beautiful. And it is close to the airport. Traveling as a single female, I felt completely safe. I requested a ride to Papallacta in the morning, and I ended up making friends with Daniela, whose family owns Hosteria Colibri. She drove me to Papallacta and we had a great day together, hiking and enjoying the hot springs. Also, the breakfast was wonderful.

Beautiful grounds and garden with hummingbirds flying around, nice room, clean bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff. Tasty breakfast. We also got a good dinner for $8. There's a scenic hike along the river starting just from the hotel. Hotel organized a transfer to and from the airport for $10. All in all a great place to stay close to the airport between the flights.

The bathroom could do with renovation, but it was very clean and perfectly usable.

This place exceeded my expectations. On my previous trip to Quito, when I wanted somewhere near the airport, I booked somewhere else. It was as nice as Colibri - but cost twice as much. Colibri seemed like an excellent place to be if you are looking for somewhere close to the airport.

The guests next door had brought a dog, which they seemed unwilling or unable to keep quiet during the night. This was obviously not the fault of the hotel and simply bad luck on my part.

Nice for a quick stay before going to the airport. It was tipping it down when I arrived so they put me in a closer room which was lovely and very comfortable. They arranged a taxi for me and they turned up dead on time which was super. Wish I had a little more time to enjoy the pool.
