Hotel was well located to access the airport which worked for us. Great bar and restaurant with a good menu and lots of options. There was a buffet breakfast and a omelet station. Service was excellent and fast. There is a outside deck great for sunset drinks near the bar. There are airline check-in consoles in the hotel that provide advance luggage check. This allows you to by-pass some queues at the airport. There is a free shuttle to and from airport that runs every 30 minutes.

Bit far from town centre but stuff is spread out and Quito is a big and sprawling city so no big issue to get around. Just factor in some time and consult Google Maps for driving time estimates. Get taxis which are reasonable and reliable. The hotel has their own taxis available to book.

Proximity to airport and ease to get to other parts of Quito

Parking access is a pain…to my knowledge there is no access to the parking lot from the main entrance…and I didn’t see any signage indicating where to go to park your car. You are forced back onto the main road and must go around the traffic circle to go back around. Once you do park, you must go up a flight of stairs to access the lobby…with heavy suitcases that can be a challenge. There is apparently no elevator access or handicap ramp access from the parking lot. Also, there is no signage advising you to bring your parking ticket with you, because the only place to pay for parking is at the front desk. If you lose your ticket be patient because the procedure to handle parkers with lost tickets is not good.

This hotel has such high ratings because it is fabulous. Situated mere meters from the airport, the clever architecture ensures quiet rooms. And the window opens, which is rare in a big hotel. We had been staying a humid area and our clothing needed drying out before we flew home. The sun shone through the big window, which worked perfectly. The bathroom is beautiful and the focus on sustainability is a welcome change. The breakfast buffet rivaled any we have ever seen. The bar had microbrews and I was able to get fresh juice.

It is clear that this hotel pays attention to details so I have no complaints.

The Wyndham is a beautiful hotel that is the closest accommodation to the airport. It also has a 24 hour airport shuttle every 15 minutes. We had a spacious and very well appointed corner suite with great views of the mountains and Cotopaxi in the distance. The gym, spa and pool are excellent. The staff provide fantastic and friendly service to a high standard. Both the breakfast and dinner buffet provide fresh, delicious and large variety of local and international food. The restaurant menu is also extensive and good value. We really enjoyed our two night stay before our 4:30am international flight! Highly recommended.

There was some highway noise at night requiring ear plugs to sleep. The price is at the high end for the Quito market.

Comfortable and spacious room with a great view and sufficient facilities. The waterfall shower was very good.

Soundproofing from the nearby road /traffic could be improved. The hot water machine in the room on/off switch appreared to be broken so had to unplug it to turn it off so that could do with being looked at. A small complementary biscuit and sweeteners to go along with the tea/coffee/ sugar would be an improvement and in keeping with the services and facilities expected at such an establishment. Having a bath option would have been an improvement also although the shower was sufficient.

I have repeatedly stayed at Wyndham Airport Quito, just because it is so conveniently located and comfortable. The people at the reception desk and in the restaurant are super nice; they make you feel really welcome. The rooms are spacious, the shower is huge, and - very important - the bed is excellent. I particularly appreciate their effort to avoid plastic. There are no plastic bottles in the room, but a carafe and a water fountain in the hallway. The shuttle service to the airport is also great.

The property is very century located next to the airport. They have a shuttle that runs every 15 minutes to and from the airport, which is great. It is also walking distance if you care to walk, and I would assume it’s about eight minutes from the terminal. The hotel is very modern and the interior is extremely nice. We ate at the restaurant prior to our room being available, and the menu is excellent and all the food was absolutely outstanding. Although close to the airport, the rooms are extremely quiet and the beds are very comfortable. If you need a place to stay flying in or out of Quito because of the times of the crazy flights, this would 100% be the hotel to stay. I would not even consider the holiday Holiday Inn that is more than 3 miles away for the same price.

We could not think of anything to say negative about this properly. The people were extremely friendly and warm and caring, and the hotel itself was immaculate.

The room was clean and comfortable. Ample and nutritious breakfast. Check in was fast, but there was a snafu with being offered a free room upgrade and bottle of wine that did not materialize, but the staff tried to make it right. Appreciated them storing our luggage at no charge during our trip to the Galapagos.

Just the snafu with the offered free services which were totally incorrect. We were told that those offers were for other Wyndam hotels and not this one, but it was a bit strange, as my receipt showed confirmed.

This was a surprisingly nice stay. We had an overnight layover in Quito, and this was the closest option to the airport. We didn't expect much but it far exceeded those expectations. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The lobby was warm and welcoming and smelled great. They pool and spa area was also a nice treat. Lastly the food, wow, we had the breakfast and lunch buffet, they certainly know how to impress. Definitely recommend if only in Quito for a night.

Not much to put on this list. The lunch buffet that wasn't included was a little pricy but with the quality and variety of food options it was worth it in our opinion. Otherwise, nothing we could find not to like.
