I stayed twice . They keep my luggage few days. Old and best maintenance hotel . Close to Tahir square, Sadat subway station, Go bus station, museum, just in few meters Nile bridge. Variety of foods restaurants, shopping. All in few meters . Like a say it’s One stop hotel . Al Azhar university, El Hussain tomb just in 2km . Their few hundred of hotel in this downtown area this cost but I’m sure it’s best big rooms here . I stayed two more other hotels in this area everything’s worst. LOTUS HOTEL is the best . Pizza Hut , KFC , McD all just walk 3min only . Don’t waste time , don’t waste money . Stay here . 🔥💪❤️

Some wifi would be nice.

The location is about as good as it gets:central, near Metro and Bus lines and directly on top Estoril restaurant/bar and near many other restaurants.. The overall old world "ambience" is appealing. Breakfast was solid and better than usual for this type of place.

The state of the elevator (as in most Downtown hotels, hostels, pensions) good give some pause.

The guy at reception was very accommodating to a last minute change, and even though I arrived a few hours early, there was no problem checking in. All of the staff in the bar and restaurant were very welcoming and friendly. The location of the hotel can't be beat, as it is in the middle of the downtown area of Cairo and very close to Tahrir Square.

The breakfast could have been a bit more substantial however, there are plenty of restaurants nearby which makes staying in this hotel worthwhile.

Ancient colonial type interior with wooden furniture. Big room.. Location of building is good.

Internet availability is less as wifi dont work properly. Bathroom is conjusted. Building is old so lift too. Locating building was a big task for me as ther was no hoardings to show the name of hotel outside the building

the location was perfect. the staff were very kind and hospitable and nice and always helpful.

the bathrooms were not clean at all. didn’t have slippers. the flush doesn’t work. so the toilets stink. the shower area was so dirty. and no proper lock for the bathroom. so bad.

I loved the old world charm and the brilliant location- 4 min walk from the museum

A kettle in the room for tea and coffee would have been great

Great little hotel from 40s/50s. Don't expect emaciate rooms. But it is a great location. Down town Cairo. Near egyptian museum. And sadat and nasser metro stations for easier access to other parts of Cairo's historic places.

Location and price

Art deco old-style hotel in downtown Cairo. High floor, so quiet and far from the street. Staff very friendly and welcome. Unfortunately, roof terrace was closed at this time.

Breakfast was really basic and internet sometimes poor

as usual, friendly people, excellent location, basic but good traditional breakfast.

need to add some extra facilities, TV, A/C (heater), basic toiletries.
