Wow this hotel exceeded our expectations completely, what amazing value for money. Soma bay is the most amazing security town on the shore of the most amazing sea. After travelling throughout Egypt we ended in the lap of luxury. So safe and secure with no hassles - the perfect place to relax. The sea was gorgeous, I have travelled all over the Indian ocean, but was blown away by the red sea's crystal clear waters, zero litter, warmth and stunning marine life. The Jetty a 15 minute walk along the promenade or free golf cart ride (they come every 30 minutes on the hour) takes you to a massive house reef, full of fish and colorful corals. we came here to snorkel from the reviews and it did not disappoint - instead blew us away. The hotel is huge, quiet, beautiful, clean and so much to do - pools, lazy river, spa, more pools, amazing beach with soft sand, yoga, aqua aerobics, beach sunset disco, food glorious food, jumping castle on the sea, speedboat banana boats, sail boats, wind surfing - so much to do - or like us just relax, lie in the sea and snorkel and eat delicious food. Order drinks and lunch from your sunbed by a press of a button. Free water station with ice cold water on tap. The hotel is also super environmentally friendly with beautiful earthen pot recycling bins all over, no plastic allowed on the beach and many signs with do and don'ts about sea life. The Soma bay area is expanding and lots of development going on - none of it was seen or heard from the hotel the whole area will look great when it is finished along with a massive golf course- the Marina area just next door to the hotel is fantastic, has a great supermarket, bottle shop, ATM and lovely gift shops, lots of good restaurants too many where you can sit next to the yachts - I felt like I was in Cape Town or Greece - it really is very different to the rest of Egypt. Book for a fantastic hotel, situated on the shores of the most beautiful sea.

The Pools are amazing. The beach in front of the hotel was fantastic. They divided families and adults, which makes for a calm atmosphere for whoever wants it. Always enough sun beds and friendly helpful staff. Everything was super clean, we especially enjoyed the lovely spacious bath rooms.

I found the dinner experience stressful. The space is not big enough for the large amount of people, you sit back to back and have to make make your way through the tables to the buffet. By times i think the place could do with much more staff, as we had to call waiters over to order drinks every day, once we got assigned a table and when we came back to it somebody else sat down, etc. Food was good (especially fresh fish) but the selection was very limited (compared to other resorts i have seen).

I had an amazing experience. The room was spacious and featured two types of showers: one in the tub and one outside near the tub. The pool was great, and the lake added a serene touch to the environment. The view of the sea was incredible, making it a fantastic place for taking pictures. The hotel was quiet and had a fancy DJ, which added to the overall ambiance. The food was delicious, offering a variety of options. The meat is good and bakery items were fresh and my kids loved it, often taking some back to the room. The fish, especially the grilled shrimp with lemon, was fantastic and very tasty. The staff were friendly and made our five-night stay enjoyable. The poolside restaurant was amazing for snacks, although it wasn't included in the room price. I spent around $200 on snacks during my stay. One thing to note is that the hotel does not serve Coke or Pepsi, so if you prefer those, I recommend bringing some cans with you. High Price for Half-Board: Missing Landscapes: Night Shows: There were no night shows available, despite expectations. Quality of Food: Most of the rice dishes weren't up to standard, except for the koshari, which was excellent.

It is amazing hotel, with very interesting services. The Staff was very polite in all departments during my stay, specially Mr.Wael (Restaurant Manager) who is caring about the customer satisfaction by level exceeds the expectations. Regarding Kids club, it was very organized, full of creativity and ideas for Kids, all the team was perfect, special Thanks for Ms.Fatma in Kids club she is really care to let the kids happy, My child loves the place because of her way in communication by giving them a space to deal with her as friends. The beach is also very nice (Sandy beach) which is also important part of the happiness during the stay. Food quality is great. Strongly recommend and suggest the hotel for any one thinking to go. We extended our stay for two more nights because of the amazing vibes of Soma bay. Facilities of the hotel are great. The beach is amazing & the Lazy River:)) Location is very close to the marina and shops. Aleyeldin at the reception was very friendly.

-Rooms are a bit old & need renovations. -DJ at the beach during the sunset , you cannot listen to Eminem and rap music during the sunset it’s really annoying. -Gym Machines need repair and maintenance. -I checked out very early because of my flight and i requested a breakfast box which i found filled with pastries, it might be a lot better to have other options. (eg. Turkey sandwich: bun + 1 slice turkey - that’s it. Expected a bit more from a 5star resort with an open buffet that served salmon and eggs Benedict) -In room dining quality is very low. We ordered a burger and a chicken shawerma sandwich (generic and not very sophisticated choices), however, both sandwiches were absolutely dry no sauce whatsoever. Not what you’d expect to get for room service at a five star resort.

Stayed in hundreds of hotels around the world but this has to be the best in relation to customer service, quality, amenities etc. The staff were amazing at making sure all our requirements were met. Strangely we were the only UK guests in the hotel though.

Location is premium, one of the best beaches in the Red Sea and I’ve been to many. Staff are very very friendly and helpful, and service is very quick and swift. Food is in the best 20% of hotels there, I’ve had better but still v. good.

Some doors that access the beach from building 7 open only from inside, so you have to walk a long walk to go back to your room from the beach. The Soma Bay shuttle bus is slow and busy, maybe the hotel should get some shuttles for its own guests. I think the hotel should invest more in getting premium coffee in its outlets, coffee was mediocre.

We absolutely did have an exceptionally good time at the Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay! Exquisite surroundings, an outstanding room with a view of the sea with the most unbelievable sunsets, extremely helpful members of staff, delicious food in each of the restaurants ( we tried them all) 😊 Our absolute favourite was to dine at the Laguna Club Lounge, where we were welcomed kindly by the manager and the chef as well as Sayed who attended to all our needs with the utmost efficiency. Everything is just fabulous .. We are family of three (son 10 years old) .. and it’s our 9th stay in a row since 2016 .. we have tried as many hotels as one may imagine (along from Hurghada to Marsa Alam) but none gave us the heartwarming reception and comfy accommodation .. you can easily find serenity everywhere .. setting everywhere tends to keep your good mood always on and nothing can easily take this away. Reception: staff are very hosting and they make sure to accommodate whatever you ask for - special thanks for Mr. Ali at the reception (super friendly, polite and professional). Restaurant: Main restaurant is awesome .. never failed to please us with its qualitative variety of food giving you the feeling of fine dining. Eggs Benedict with Salmon is a MUST to try on breakfast (the best I have ever had on earth). And Dinner has several food stations each specializing in certain food (pasta station with whatever pasta you dream of our son always longs for their pesto pasta and seafood station with numerous types of fish, calamari and crabs). For deserts they have ice cream, Om Ali (on Mondays and Fridays), and plenty of fresh finely selected fruits. Pool: They have a pool for adults only, and several others for family and small one for babies and toddlers. Main pool is very relieving and fancy. Towel center guys and life guards are extremely friendly and professional. Special shoutout to Ali (He is super friendly and fun with all family especially kids), Atta and Diaa. Beach: One of the best beaches along the Red Sea. Sandy no rocks and very very smooth beaches water. Always make sure to be there at sunset time. It’s marvelous and breathtaking watching the sun disappearing behind those sandy mountains. Bar: The hotel usually offers live music mini concerts, belly dance shows (usually on Fridays) and others. Staff at the bar are super helpful especially Ahmed. Kids Club: Staff are very qualified and friendly and know how to deal with kids.

1- super clean 2-food was amazing 3-front desk people are always helpful escpecially ( Ahmed elshafey ) from reception . 4- the lady in red was very responsive and efficient to our issue . 5- Omar Reda from the service at the restaurant was so helpful . 6- hands out to the healthy sweets and deserts chef amazing work. 7- chef in Almar restaurant as well was super good. 8- House keeping guy for our room 3307 was very good.
