The beach is a few minutes walking and very nice. It is a sandy beach. The water is crystal clear. Employees are professional, friendly and accommodating. The night shows they had at night were amazing including a belly dance show and a Brazilian dance show. The animation team is fun and everyday there were several activities. The buffet had a lot of variety. Some of the dishes were spectacular (some of the best we ever had at a buffet) including the fresh bread and the bbq meats which were available everyday. The aqua park is a few minutes walking and is cute and super fun for families.

Some of the dishes in the buffet weren’t that good including the small cakes. We also thought hygiene wasn’t top notch but this could be due to being peak season when we visited. We also had a communication issue with booking.com and the hotel regarding the price which was frustrating but booking.com sorted it out. We recommend you verify the confirmation email you receive when booking to know the exact price and don’t just depend on the booking.com application.

The private beach right in front has enough loungers with umbrellas (though the front row tends to be occupied by 9-10 am), the water is very clear. We took long walks along the beach, and saw that the Sheraton part of the beach is really the best, as it's cleanest, calmest (when there's wind) and has no algae. You can even see a few fish there. If you're into snorkeling, you can visit the Jetty (10-min walk from Sheraton), where there is a fantastic coral reef with lots of fishes. It was the best snorkeling experience we've ever had. The room is great. It's spacious, there's a seating area inside and on the balcony. The balcony door has a mosquito net. The curtains are very good at blocking out the sun, so the light didn't wake us up in the morning. The room has a kettle, a minifridge, the housekeeping brings a few bottles of water every day. The room service is very good, fast (about 25 min) and inexpensive. We ordered a Pizza Pollo, which was delicious and cost around 7€. The bed is perfect: very wide, soft enough for our backs not to hurt, but not too soft, and it was one huge mattress (not 2 moved together) which is really comfortable. We liked the large walk-in shower with high-quality toiletries. The food is exceptional. The breakfast has a huge selection of warm dishes, pastries, vegetables, fruit, cheeses, lots of jams, muesli, even natural comb honey. The dinner is also perfect, with different themes each night. Apart from the main dishes and sides, there are grill stations, soups, lots of salads and dips, and an amazing selection of pastries and cakes. We absolutely loved the cakes and highly recommend the Arabian specialties like Om Ali and Knafeh. The drinks are not included at dinner (we had halfboard), but are not too expensive (2.5€ for a Pepsi). Strong and fast Wifi, even on the beach. The staff is amazing. Our housekeeper Mohamed made supercute towel animals for us, which we found such a great personal touch.

The only problem we had was that the hotel has no non-smoking policy. A dedicated smoking area on the beach would be great. We couldn't enjoy the sea breeze most of the time, as there is always someone smoking nearby. The same goes for dinner. Sitting inside is too hot, and outside - one can't enjoy the delicious meals sometimes because of the smokers. The neighbours and/or staff smoking even woke us up at 6 am a few times, as our room was full of cigarette smell (we like having fresh air while sleeping and keep the window open at night). The air conditioning is quite loud, but cools the room very efficiently.

Our stay at Sheraton Soma Bay was absolutely wonderful! Everyone, including the staff and even the other guests, was so friendly and welcoming. The sea is stunning, and the Orca Diving & Jetty was breathtaking. We snorkeled every day and were amazed by the variety of fish and coral reefs. The fruit drinks were incredibly delicious, and the breakfast was fantastic with so many options, including a great variety of desserts. A special thanks to Abdullah for his excellent service and the beautiful decoration in our room—it was such a nice touch! Also, a big thanks to Said for his wonderful attitude, helping us find great restaurants, and checking in with us daily to ensure we were enjoying our stay. The resort felt very diverse, which we loved. We noticed both female staff and dwarf staff working, something we hadn’t seen in other hotels in Hurghada. It made the experience feel even more unique and inclusive. We checked out a little late, but no one made a fuss about it, which we really appreciated. The resort staff also provided golf car transportation to take us anywhere we needed within the resort, making everything so convenient. We highly recommend Sheraton Soma Bay for anyone looking for a relaxing and unforgettable holiday!

Add some shuttle buses, or offer more car hire (golf carts), by which I mean more time slots, and more reasonable prices.

The beach is great, I have been to bigger hotels in Hurghada, but the beach of this hotel is much better, there is not stones or pebbles and the water is clear, there is also a diving area and a snorkeling area near to the hotel so you do not have to go to far places for snorkeling and pay extra fees. The food was great but the desserts were poor people were friendly in the room services and they offered extra mineral water whenever we wanted, the restaurant team was also friendly and more than helpful They let u use life jackets for free on the beach They have lots of nice trees in the garden(lemon trees and pomegranate), kids were interested to see them They have nice table to feed birds and pigeons, so I respect their care for the environment and other creatures

The night activities were poor(sometimes annoying), actually the hotel needs to hire a better organizer for this task, the food was great but the desserts were poor, the tap water is hard water, so the soap sticks to your hand and body when u wash your hands or have a shower

Wonderful. Clean, extremely comfortable beds, friendly staff. Due to renovation the facilities like gym and lobby are limited. Fantastic beach. Boat tours/ snorkeling trip overpriced in the area but easy to book from other organizers through booking.com and no problem with transport to Hurghada if needed. Low season and not very many restaurants open but enough. Good variety at breakfast.

This is one of the best vacations I had in Egypt and I wish it was longer. The room was great and spacious with comfortable bed and pillows . The team in different areas ( room service , beach , reception , restaurant , ..... ) all did an amazing job to make sure we are all having a great time . The buffet was extraordinary with a variety of delicious dishes . The beach is amazing with crystal clear water . This is a kids friendly hotel where there was a room for kids to play with different toys under supervision from the hotel trained staff who can handle kids and also the kids pools are great . This is one of the best hotels in Egypt and this will definitely be the first of more stays to happen .

First, the sevice is too "pro-active", million questions from the staff - "are you OK" or like this. For me too much..... Over service.....Second, some strange rules, like need to sign zero bills for "all_inclusive" drinks. This is not normal for me. Third - room is very good, but few details do not make it perfect- e.g. I did not find the way how to switch the light on in the night in the bedroom, and do not disturb my partner who is sleeping.

Despite the hotel being full, I didn't feel it at all. All services were exceptional and the staff was polite and respectful. Happy with my choice.

I was told that they had 99% occupancy so I'd waited too long to check in; I booked 2 rooms. The first I waited for about an hour ( after 8 hours drive, it wasn't easy). The 2nd room it took about 5 hours to be ready.
