Firstly, the location is perfect for a stay in Rothenburg. Just a few minutes walk from the walls and gate and city centre. The hotel staff were excellent, a really warm welcome and throughout, genuinely going out of their way to ensure everything was perfect, they exceeded our expectations. Frau Nemcova who served us and spent time with us in the restaurant on our last evening deserves a special mention, she is a credit to your organisation. The room was great, very comfortable, spacious and cozy and very well equipped, a most welcome space after a long days exploring. Breakfast is excellent, a great range and selection of many items, in a comfortable space that really set you up for the day. Hotel Rappen Rothenburg is easily accessible by road, has super ample parking, directly behind the building which was a big influencing factor for choosing the hotel too as we were driving. We had a wonderful stay, would recommend and would absolutely stay again.

Location (right at the entrance to the old city centre at the Würzburger Tor) and staff were pretty good. Breakfast buffet was really big with lots of choices. Big parking space in the back an a attached Biergarten!

Big parking space at the hotel is basically just gravel, so if its a dry and sunny day, its quite dusty. Unfortunately we had a room at the second building, which had a bit lame appearance (but overall nice and clean). First evening (a Friday evening) I went to the Biergarten after 8:30pm (Wife and daughter were already sleeping due to jetlag) and got send away in a quite rude manner.

The room was spacious, with the bathroom and toilet separated on opposite sides, which was very convenient for two people. There was also a glass balcony where we could enjoy coffee and the view during the day — a lovely touch. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of cheeses and breads that were very satisfying, as well as fruits, salads, eggs, and other healthy options. Free parking was a big plus. The location is about a 10-minute walk to the town center — a pleasant stroll.

Location is excellent! 30m from the walls around the historic part of the city. No need to use a car. Staff was super-friendly and helpful. The beds were nice and comfortable, room was decent with very modern bathroom. We arrived by car and there was a large parking spot behind the hotel. There even was a Tesla charger where we could charge our Tesla for 15 EUR (just had to let them know in reception and they activated the charger).

This hotel is situated next the the old city walls, giving great access to the old town. The hotel is bright and welcoming and the rooms are very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was a bit hectic and finding a table was an issue on occasion...that said breakfast was a full-on affair with a full range of hot and cold choices. The food was plentiful and the staff kept the trays well stocked. The restaurants are super and the food excellent weather you sit inside or in the Beer-Garden. service was prompt and friendly with staff offering tasty recommendations. Parking at the rear of the hotel is a dream!

There really wasn't anything to dislike! Everyone was super nice and friendly...perhaps the kitchen staff sitting outside in the Beer garden smoking was a little off-putting but this really is the only a small issue.

The room was very well kept and clean. The restaurant where breakfast is served, was modern and quite large but if you come down late you might not get a table, breakfast was fantastic with lots of choices and a great variety of foods. Location was great, just out side of the old town wall and gate, 3 minute walk from the gates to the front doors of the hotel

We had to wait to get a table for the buffet in the evening, there were things on the buffet that were out and not replenished. Some things on the buffet we didn't get to try.

The hotel is really beautiful. The location is excellent, just outside the old town, you can walk anywhere. The breakfast facilities and the breakfast itself was great. A bonus is the free parking that is available to the hotel guests and also close by. Very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend the hotel if you are going to visit Rothenberg There was no aircon but a fan which did the job.

Just something to note is that the bathroom is small and therefore the shower is also very small. The flours are all carpet as in a lot of hotels, they did not feel that clean. You could see that the room was cleaned but there were some things missed such as pet hairs on the carpet behind the doors.

The hotel was amazing and made our first night great. Had AC in August. Neutral color room, liked it was a hard floor. The mattress was medium hard which was to our liking. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. Best was two rooms were attached and can go through to each other to see my older kids. Bathroom was impressive. different to us was the tub/shower didn’t have a curtain to contain the splashes. it had the warming rack. There were so many selections at the breakfast buffet; hot and cold food were great. Highly recommend it, just a 5-6 few minutes drive away for main Rothenburg ODT central.

The room was very spacious, clean, beautifully decorated for the Christmas holiday. It was very hot in the room, it was even necessary to turn off the radiators in order to rest. Large and spacious bathroom, varied breakfast. Pleasant atmosphere throughout the hotel and very close to the entrance to the fortress, it is located practically next to the gate of the fortress. The center of the fortress can be reached in a maximum of 10 minutes. Free parking.

I booked the hotel for the Christmas period and additionally requested reserved menus for the festive meals during this period. We were surprised to find that practically the same food was served in the evening of December 24 and the lunch of December 25. Practically, this determined us to give up the meal from the evening of December 25. The food could be more diversified.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The customer service was excellent—staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The breakfast was another highlight, offering a good variety of fresh and tasty options to start the day right. I’d definitely recommend this place for a comfortable and welcoming stay. Great location, the Beer Garden offered some of the best meals I have ever tasted.
