Fabulous, clean and everything you need for a trip to Barcelona. The hotel is in a very central position with lots of eating and drinking places close by. The staff are so helpful and friendly in particular Adam on reception who went out of his way to make sure our stay was the best possible. We stayed at the hotel with three other couples and used the rooftop bar and pool after days of sightseeing and Jorge and the lady (sorry didn’t get her name) were friendly and accommodating. Rooms were lovely and air conditioned and so clean. A great stay and having been to this city 11 times I have to say it’s the best hotel we’ve stayed at! We will be back. Lovely city and lovely hotel.

The hotel is lovely. The location is great, everywhere is very clean & the rooftop bar was a great addition.

If you book a standard double room, be aware that the doors to the toilet & shower are 'frosted', i.e. see-through & not floor to ceiling, so not only can you pretty much see everything, you can smell it too. Wouldn't stay here again for that alone.

Excellent location! Lovely staff! Convenient parking! Large room with a balconies overlooking a lively area… thank goodness for double glazing glass. 😊🇪🇸

Hotel Catalonia Magdalenes was fantastic. The location was perfect, right in the middle of everything however lovely and peaceful at night. The rooms were very comfortable and just the right temperature for a good nights sleep. Staff were friendly and would do anything to help. This has been one of the best hotels we have stayed in and would absolutely recommend it to any friends or family visiting Barcelona in the future!

Very attractive, comfortable hotel in a great location for us (we went to a concert at the Palau Musica - couldn’t have been more convenient). Interesting & attractive decor with Roman Aqueduct foundations visible on the ground floor! Excellent breakfast, delightful rooftop bar & every member of staff friendly and helpful. Sorry to leave - will be back!

Minor criticism - when we booked our room we were offered a choice of one double bed or two singles. We hate a small double, so asked for, and were confirmed as, booking two singles. When we checked in, a twin room had not been allocated. We had a lovely BIG double bed, which we were very happy with, but think that the bed size should be clearer at time of booking (if we knew the double bed was large, we would not have asked for a twin), and a twin should not be offered at booking if there is any doubt if might be available.
