On the second day of our vacation, we experienced a nearly full-day water outage at the hostel. Unfortunately, they had no backup solutions to handle such situations, which was quite disappointing. Additionally, when we requested an extra blanket, the host informed us that they were fully booked and didn’t have any available. This was quite embarrassing, as a well-prepared hostel should have at least a few extra essentials on hand for guests’ comfort.

The location is unmatched! So so so good, really close to literally everywhere, metro, shops, gothic quarter, etc. Very nice stay, I loved my small solo room, had a sink, wardrobe and even a small tv. Also a lovely balcony with a chair to sit. Check in and check out was very easy and the shared bathrooms were always free and clean.

The only thing I will say is that you can hear literally everything that’s going on outside (kinda noisy street or area), there are trucks cleaning the streets at night too which are noisy and on the inside too so if your main purpose is sleeping peacefully this might not be the place but in my case I just used some earplugs and it was alright.

It is a great location in the city centre, you can access many famous spots like the beach and gaudi's architectures fairly quick. The prices are decent and the hotel stuffs are generous of the price of my stay :) The hotel stuffs are pretty nice! The toilets are clean, they provide free drinking water for you to drink. They would listen to the questions you raised to them and get them sorted, very friendly and helpful. It is overall a sweet experience!

The heater made buzzing noise sometimes in the night.

The price was excellent for the location. I had some concerns when I saw some very negative reviews but my experience couldn't have been more different. Either the hostal has radically changed or the reviewers have extremely different expectations to mine. My room was large with a small private bathroom which was clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and the whole atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming with nice touches of hot drinks and water available in a living area.

The location is amazing, it’s just off La ramblas and Plaça de catalunya. The room is nice with air con/ a fan/ WiFi/ sink/ towels/ closet/ hangers and a balcony. I found the bed comfortable and the staff friendly.

The only drawback is that you only get one set of keys and a keycard so if you’re staying with someone you have to enter together or if you misplace them there’s no one there at night to let you in.

The location is perfect in the middle of everything popular in downtown. The rooms are nice and there are 3 shared bathrooms which are kept clean all the times. The room had a little balcony which was nice.

Some things are old and need maintenance like the heat radiators and some shower accesories. The walls are thin so sometimes you can hear people from other rooms.

For its price, the stay was excellent. Most importantly, the room and the shared bathrooms were clean. The location is perfect, very centrally located, easily accessible using public transport. The hotel provided free filtered water, so you do not need to buy bottled water during our stay. The bed was not too hard (earlier reviews mentioned hard matrasses but I do not agree). We also had a balcony.

The room was quite noisy due to the thin walls and the noise on the streets. However, we are easy sleepers so this was not a problem.

The location is perfect. The hostel is convinient in many senses (near the metro station, old town, supermarket ecc.). The room is small, but good. There is everything I needed. There is possibility to make a tea. The staff is very good. I recommend this hostel.

The location was very good. It was clean and the staff was ever so kind. I fell I’ll at one point during my stay and one of the staff members (the owner?) made me a cup of tea and was kind enough to go to the pharmacy for me. She also asked me if I needed help getting in contact with a doctor. I felt very cared for and she later checked in on me and asked if I had gotten better etc. She is a very heart warming and kind person! I was a solo traveler and the help was much needed and very nice. Because of this I was also very pleased with the level of safety I felt during my stay. The day I checked out, I waited for my cab and sat in their sofa (this was many hours after I had checked out). I was told I could use the shared bathroom and shower if I wanted, while I waited. Very nice.

The walls wasn’t completely sound proof and for that reason I know that my neighbors had a very good time at one point. Otherwise it wasn’t too bad and there were no loud street noises or anything like that.

Nara was such a great host. From the very beginning she was going out of her way to help us. She gave us suggestions on better ways to travel to the Hostal and gave us step by step instructions on how to do it. The place was great we had our own washroom and the most stunning view. Location could not be beat. Also would like to mention this was my first time at a Hostal and I felt so comfortable.

The mattress was a little uncomfortable because you could feel the springs but really not that big of a deal.
