Very close to cafes, restaurants, and the Port. Loved the old architecture. The room was small but perfect for me as a solo traveller. It was very clean, and the water pressure in the shower was exceptional. Rhe bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I would return to this hotel.

Staff was very friendly and helpful! The cleaning staff were great and did a great job tidying the room and replacing towels when we needed service. The room was reasonably quiet even though the walls are thin. The bed was quite comfortable for me, and I slept great for my trip, though my companions didn't feel the same about their beds. Mileage may vary. The location is fantastic, right in a perfect spot within the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. Walking distance to many different great attractions and food. There is a metro stop nearly steps away on La Rambla that gives you access to the whole city!

There were some additional blankets that were provided that had some questionable stains on them. It wasn't too big of a deal since I used one of these blankets over the top of the sheets and blankets already on the beds. But some extra attention to the condition of the linens would be appreciated. The shower did not have a door or a curtain, only a glass pane that covered about 50% of one of the two sides. This caused water to go everywhere on the floor despite best efforts to shower without splashing. Very limited shelf/sink space within the bathrooms to place any items. There were not very many surfaces within the room itself to place items.

Small but adequate room suited me for 6 nights as a solo traveller. walking distance to old town and shops and harbour and beach. Plenty places to explore and eat.

We are a family of 5 who were holidaying in Salou, but wanted to spend a day in Barcelona before flying home. I booked a twin room and a triple room for us based on its location and cost. when we arrived and got the metro to Liceu we were delighted to see how close it was to both the metro and the Ramblas. Reception area is small but the staff were very helpful. The rooms were spotless, very comfortable with a nice shower. I felt this was certainly a great option for a no frills but comfortable stay in a superb location in Barcelona. I literally can't fault it for what we required. If you're looking for a bar and a lobby etc go elsewhere, but if you're just looking for somewhere clean and comfortable to put your head down after a day exploring the city, Hotel Ingles is perfect

Location was amazing. A short walk from metro station (the L3 line is good or getting around). In the Gothic Quarter but quite walkable to a lot of sights. Staff OK, Room as expected. Good shower when we had hot water. Room was clean and cleaning staff were nice. Elevator small but useful.

Bed very uncomfortable, we did ask for extra pillows and they were supplied and much better than the original ones that were useless. We knew there was no fridge but would be really handy to have a small one. The hot water was not working on our second last day, I think this is a fairly common occurance and though they are obviously doing there best to restore it they did not handle our initial query very well and wasted our time.

I liked my room very much. It was on the top floor with balconies and great view to the Rambla and the people walking by down below, on the lively, little, narrow pedestrian shopping street where the hotel is in the Gothic Quarter. I had a fridge, which was a pleasant surprise, so I could enjoy breakfast in the sunny room, which was very nice in March. The room was fairly big and it was comfortable and clean, good closet space. Nice bed and heating. On my last day, I got to keep my luggage in a locker and at the hotel I could arrange my things and get ready before going late to the airport. The location of the hotel is excellent, right off the Rambla, near everything. I felt safe and there was always somebody in the reception, day and night. The staff was very helpful and nice, thank you Carmen for welcoming me, and Lisa and Enrico. Hope to see you soon!
