Great location, walking distance to everything, lots of food and shopping options right outside the main entrance. The staff were very friendly and gave us lots of good recommendations. The hotel was clean and our room was more modern than I was expecting.

It was no fault of the hotel, but one night we had other hotel guests (who were intoxicated) attempting to open our room door at night. Barcelona is a very busy city with a good nightlife, I wouldn’t recommend walking around the area late at night, again, nothing to do with the hotel itself, but just something to be wary of.

The Hotel Condal far exceeded our expectations. We had read numerous poor reviews on Tripadvisor/Booking.com, so we were prepared for the worst. We knew also that we couldn't get a taxi right to the hotel door because it's on a pedestrian street. We got a taxi from the airport but we only had to walk for a few minutes to get to the hotel. No problem at all! Reception staff always pleasant and helpful. Our room (108) was large and had a large double bed, which was very comfortable and had 4 fat, comfortable pillows. Our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Bathroom had bath, shower, WC & bidet. Plenty of towels. Shower liquid and soap provided. Hairdryer provided. Big wardrobe and a safe. Good lighting in the bathroom. The Condal is exceptionally well situated for convenient access to most of La Rambla. The Hotel Condal is a modest hotel. It's not fancy but it's comfortable and it's much cheaper than all the other hotels in the Gothic area. We would return without hesitation, if we are ever looking for accommodation in Barcelona city again. It's good value.

It would be nice if the bedroom had a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities. The toilet paper was very thin and not very soft. The bedroom floors were tiled, they were nice. However, it would be good to put a plastic/rubber cap on the legs of the chairs because we could hear the guest overhead scraping his chair on the floor every time he moved it. The sound was very loud. The Hotel Condal gets bad reviews relating to noise. There's a restaurant being set up next door to the hotel so we often heard drilling and hammering during the day. However, we never had any noise issues at night. There was no noise from guests after midnight and no street noise and no noise from the builders next door. Room 108 was located at the rear of the Hotel away from the street side.

Seriously, this is the perfect hotel to stay in barcelona its in the gothic quarter, 30 seconds walking from the “center”!! Of La Rambla! The rooms have what is need to take a shower, sleep and put all your baggage. Like really all the people that say bad things on this hotel, what you expect its not a fancy hotel, if you’re looking for this so put more money and stay in fancy hotel. This is the perfect hotel i would recommend it to anyone who is going to Barcelona

Nothing! They also let us put all of our bags in the luggage room for like 12 hours after check out!

The staff were friendly and super helpful. Breakfast was fresh, tasty and plentiful. The breakfast lady was helpful, quick and friendly. The location was perfect, so near to the shops and right in the heart of the gothic quarter. The room was clean and had all that I needed. You could hear local music being played nearby (not too loudly), it was idyllic. The water pressure is high, great for a bath or shower.

A tea tray in the room would have made it even better.

Everything was great - location, surrounding area filled with restaurant & shops, the atmosphere at Las Ramblas and the breakfast provided by the hotel in the adjoining restaurant was very filling and tasty. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly - and I must commend them on their customer service.

I don't think there was anything not to like. The room was adequate and clean and we had a comfortable sleep with very little noise despite being in a very vibrant location

The hotel's location is excellent and easy to arrive from the airport. Besides, it is nearby the metro. The room and the bathroom (with a bathtub) were comfortable. Everything was clean. The breakfast is good, I would only recommend adding more variety of fruits. The employees were friendly and always willing to help.

Great location, right in the heart of the city. Friendly staff. Clean. Fantastic ice-cream and dessert shop just outside. The air con worked a treat, which was definitely welcome as we went in the middle of a heatwave (even by Spanish standards).

The room didn't seem as nice nor as spacious in reality as it had appeared in the photos online but was adequate and the staff were polite. Not much of a view from hotel window, just a narrow alleyway and the wall of the next building. Much of the hotel looked like it was in the throws of refurbishment, which seemed somewhat overdue. The lift interior was boarded up with cardboard, which was slightly unnerving when you got in and that was very small too.

Excellent location, 100 metres to La Rambla, easy walking distance to all places of interest in Gothic Area of Barcelona. Our room was clean and spacious. (Facing front of street 5th floor) Shower in bath. Small but super balcony. Breakfast simple but filling. Front desk manned 24 hrs, by cheerful and very helpful staff. Two lifts serve all floors. No complaints at all. Definitely stay here again next time in Barcelona. No vehicles allowed in this street. Parked in secure garage and negotiated payment with Attendent from 25€ day (6 days) down to 48€ for the entire stay. 😀 Happy couple...😊

location is excellent, it's walking distance to the heart of Barcelona, perfect for first timer tourist like me. Shops and restaurants were reachable by feet. It's a few minutes walk to the Mercat de la Boqueria. The staff were helpful and friendly.

The staff ordered taxi for my return to the airport. The taxi came almost half an hour earlier than booked. I was charged the waiting time without being informed. Had I known, I would have hurried myself and spare the unnecessary cost. However, the taxi driver was friendly.
