A small hotel in the center of Gothic quarter, on a perfect location for tourists! The service was amazing, everyone was so kind and generous! The rooms were a so clean and had everything you need. The WIFI was perfect and always reliable! All in all very happy with my stay at Hotel El Call!

No dislikes here for sure!

The room was cute - although it was fully interior, without windows for the outside, the decor was very nice and cozy. The bed was large for a single room. It is good that the hotel has an open reception 24/7, especially for a solo traveller, and given that, at night, some parts of the Gothic quarter can be a bit shady. During the day, however, the location is absolutely fantastic, walking distance to most of the nicest places in the city. The wi-fi worked fine for me. Everything seemed clean. All in all, good value for money in my opinion!

It is a bit of a shame that the hotel offers no facilities or services at all. The only thing I saw working was a water dispenser where you can grab a cup of water or fill your water bottle. It would be good to at least offer some fruit, coffee machine and some pastries/cookies for the guests to grab and go. In the single rooms, you can hear the elevator very loudly; however, the hotel messaged me with this information as soon as I made my reservation, so I took earplugs with me and slept very well. During the night, people did not use the elevator often anyway - it is more of an issue before 12am and after 8-9am.

There are a lot of good points: -The location is very central. -The room and bathroom and towels were always clean. -They keep your luggage. This was very important for us because we could roam around the area before the check in time and after the check out time without any unnecessary luggage. -There is a lift. -There is also a receptionist 24/7 and a safety feature i noticed is that the main door can only be opened by the receptionist. I would be happy to book again in this hotel if I had to go back to Barcelona.

The toilet area is a bit small and we did not have a kettle /coffee in the room. However they have a coffee machine in the reception. We were told that taxis get lost in the street near the hotel, so if you are going to catch a taxi, pin it further out from the area of the hotel example: Via Laietana / Placa de l'angel / Carrer de Jaume 1.

The staff (receptionists and cleaners) were all very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent - in the centre of the old town (Barri Gotic). The hotel was very clean.

The general hotel facilities are very limited. My room was also very basic - with no window and was next to the lift (with some low level noise - but nowhere near as bad as I had feared). I am not complaining about any of this because I was informed about the situation beforehand, and my stay was very good. But the basic amenities and room mean that I cannot describe the hotel as excellent.

location was 10/10, staff were friendly and helpful, it was clean and well decorated, felt safe as someone was on reception 24/7, great for a city break

we only had windows that faced to other walls so no view of the outside and very little natural light, bedroom was a little bit small for the price

Very clean, excellent location and friendly staff. Restaurants, supermarkets , all a fee steps away. I would definitely stay here again if I'm on a budget.

Nothing I disliked, but worth mentioning: I forgot my earplugs and the walls are thin. Single rooms are by the lift and it can be noisy if you have a light sleep. However, I was so tired from seeing the area that I actually slept fine. There is no window in single rooms but it was spacious so for me there was no problem to be hidden from the strong heat of the sun.

The hotel has a very central location in the gothic quarter. Access only by foot but that's part of the charme. My room was small and had no window. But it was well equipped and well sized and the bed comfortable. This is a place for sleeping right in a historic building in a historic setting. Nothing more but also not less. Good value. The lift was close to my door but quite silent.

The shower was fiddly, no mixer valve and no thermostat. There was no kettle and practically no vertical space to set down items.

The location was great! It is less than 10 minutes from the tourist area in the city center. It was also close to nice bars if you want to go out at night. The room was relatively small but it was designed well, so we were comfortable with my friend at the end. We met three different stuff each time we came back to the hotel, all of them were very friendly, smiling people.

There was no shower door, so the bathroom was getting messy after a shower.

Location, I think it was still expensive, but it seems everything in Barcelona is expensive anyway. So, not so expensive

The room did not have any window, and walls were like paper, in terms I was able to hear anything outside of the room, and my room 103 at least was next to the elevator, which was annoying hearing the elevator working all the time

Great location in the gothic quarter, nice rooms, a bit smaller than expected but if you want to explore the city all day, the room’s size definitely doesn’t matter. 😊

I was just a bit bothered by the windows - not able to fully open them, and the walls are paper thin so you can pretty much hear everything that’s going on in the rooms close to you.
