Very nice hotel. 10 rooms if I remember correctly. Very quiet although my room had a view with a balcony.

I believe there should be a chair to sit down other than the bed. A carpet for when you get out of the shower. You can easily slip and fall. Getting of of the shower. I noticed that there is no reception 24 hours. Only some hours. That's in all the "hotels" I stayed. The staff extremely helpful. They were there to solve all my donuts whether it was on phone or message.

Location - this place was close to everything as well as metro & bus stops. It was perfect so I could visit most of attractions easily. Facilities - air conditioning to a good sized shower room, this place had decent facilities. Would be perfect if it had a small fridge and a kettle.

Security - when I checked in, a host lady took quite an extensive details of me which included a copy of my passport. At first I was rather concerned but in the end it felt more secure to know that Barcelona police knew where I was staying. Unfortunately, this all changed just 3h before my check out. A male staff came into my room without knocking the door! He was like “it’s ok I’m staff” but I was like “it’s not ok at all! Why don’t you knock the door before opening!” It really triggered my new fear & such a shame that the security which was promised when I checked in, was ruined just a few hours before checking out.

The property is well located, 20 mins walking to beach and close to the center, i did not need to use transportation despite i had kids with me, the stuff were amazing they waited for me and allowed me to check in late, as i had flight delay. They arranged for me water kettle. Room is very simple, but it has mostly what you would need except minibar The property is value for money on Barcelona price scale.

The property does not have minibars, but I understand that it was not listed in the room facilities.

Very… very central, you step out the door and the Duomo is right there next to you. The hotel is what looks like a traditional city apartment residence that has been divided up into separate rooms. I imagine the whole floor of the building was probably the home of a family. Some of the decor looks like it’s from the original apartment (a beautiful dresser in the hallway looks amazing) The room is perhaps a little dated by the standards of the more modern designer hotel chains, but it does the job. It has a comfortable bed a place to wash and if you spend the day out and about in Florence it doesn’t really matter.

Fantastic location! Hotel Annex is within a beautiful old building right in the centre of stunning Gothic Barcelona. Near a Metro too!! You can hear the gentle chimes of Sant Just in your room! Simply beautiful. The hotel is stylish, very secure, very clean, quiet and has a lift. Brilliant air con. Such very good value for money. I was met by Mr Hilario who was really welcoming, friendly & lovely. You receive your keys and can ask anything - there is no reception, but its all very well thought out, organised and well maintained. You step out into the middle of medieval Barcelona & gasp. So beautiful!

Firstly, I would DEFINITELY go back so these points are very minor. I had room 6 which was a single & more than big enough for me with a brilliant safe & big wardrobe. There is a window but it opens onto a tiny dark courtyard - but the air con is ace! My only 2 tiny issues personally is that the shower takes a bit of getting used to (its old & stylish like the beautiful building!) ...it just needs running a little while to get hot. Secondly and again, minor, the bed was comfy but needed a thicker, non slippy bottom sheet on top of the mattress protector for maximum comfort. Lovely cotton sheets & warm blankets provided though! Thank you!

Value for money. Good location. Nice coffee place at the end of the street(to the right) close to the Metro.

Great location, staff were helpful and provided a 2nd key when asked, easy check in and check in and check out. Nice room, a little small but plenty of closet space, a safe was provided, and the bathroom was nice with plenty of towels and supplies.

TV didn't work and the air conditioning could do with a upgrade

Located in the heart of the Gothic Quarter - most tourist attractions, restaurants and bars are only 2-5 minutes walk away which is very convenient. The hotel is placed on a tourist shopping street but it is still very safe (on 2nd floor) and very quiet! The room was very clean and air conditioning worked well which made a stay in July/August very pleasant. Check in worked really well, as we were contacted by Hilario on WhatsApp beforehand and kept him up to date on our travel progress. Hilario is friendly and very welcoming. We expected a lot less from this budget hotel in the heart of a tourist area but were pleasantly surprised about the excellent standard of this hotel! Would definitely recommend it!

the property is clean and functional, great budget hotel and value for money

you get what you pay for - minimal facilities, just a room, wardrobe and bathroom, but it is all clean and just what we needed. bed was hard but we hadn’t paid for an expensive hotel for a reason.
