Hotel Rialto is in the heart of Barcelona. You can easily walk to Barcelona Cathedral, La Boqueria market, Plaça de Catalunya, Picasso Museum, Moco Museum and all the attractions in the Gothic quarter. Metro stations; Liceu on one side, and Jaume I on the other side of the street, take 5 minutes to reach by foot. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom had everything I needed. A/C worked perfectly. Buffet breakfast had a variety of fresh food and drinks. Hotel offers luggage storage upon early arrival or late departure. There is always someone at the front desk. Hotel staff are amazing and always there to help. Very professional, always smiling and would go an extra mile to make you feel comfortable. Christina and Mamadou were the ones I interacted the most with, and I only have the words of praise for them.

The only downside for me was that there is no minibar in the room, to keep water bottles chilled during hot summer months.

Location good in terms of access to eating facilities, La Rambla, city sightseeing, port etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful. No problem in storing suitcases given early arrival. Staff arranged taxi when required - very obliging.

Location was perfect as we were visiting our son who was studying in Barcelona. Beds were comfortable, clean, and the hotel was very nice. Very easy to walk every

Not the fault of the hotel, just a public service announcement. La Rambla is very close to the hotel, and I have to say I'm no longer a fan of the El Raval area to the west. I grew up on the Southside of Chicago so not afraid of being in a big city, but I was always looking over my shoulder and on alert. However, to the east is the Gotic and El Born areas that we loved! A very easy walk from the hotel with wonderful restaurants. Also, skip the Boqueria and go to Mercat de Santa Caterina instead.

The hotel is in a great location in the Gothic Quarter, a short walk from the Ramblas and the L3 metro line. It is convenient to many attractions and just a 25 min walk to the beach. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The inclusive breakfast is good value with a range of hot and cold foods, pastries, cereals, and breads.

We had a room on the second floor on the Carrer de Ferran (entrance) side of the hotel. The room was lovely and spacious with a small balcony overlooking the street. We found the noise from the street pretty loud at times and we were woken several times, late at night, during our stay. Not the fault of the hotel. Other rooms may be quieter.

we love the promity from La Rambla and the metro. Ferran street is located in the gothic district and near the Born district. Both are very typical and tasty as old «carrer » of Barcelona. All can be done easily by foot

well… as a mater of fact Carrer Ferran is a very used street where you will find people and animation far late in the night … or earlier in the morning. Then, having a room with a view on the street can be very noisy … and not so comfortable

We arrived at 4pm on the day of the electricity outage but thankfully the lights came on just after we booked in. We ate in the hotel as cash was limited and most places still in darkness and no access to card readers ATMs. We had a set 3 course menu which was about £20. The ravioli started was very good as was the G&T but the hake was over cooked and the kebab my sister had left a lot to be desired. We did not have the sweet. To be fair it was quite late and the hotel had only just started getting back to some semblance of normality. The hotel was centrally located in the gothic quarter which had some great buildings and shops, cafes and restaurants. The main reason for visit was to see the Gaudi attraction which we booked in advance (4) (booking defo recommended in advance). Hotel was fairly easily accessible to main attractions by foot, metro and buses. Staff were polite and helpful and advised us of best routes to sights etc. Rooms were reasonably spacious and beds were comfortable. I particularly liked that the bedding was not a duvet but a sheet then fleece blanket and lightweight bedcover. Shower was good and muti purpose shower/hair gel was very good. A small range of items such as toothbrush and toothpaste, were available. Rooms cleaned and towels changed regularly. We had breakfast on one occasion which cost us 14 euros each and was good and varied. It included all the items most prefer i.e. tea, coffee, juices, bacon, eggs, beans, yoghurt, fruit, cakes, cold meats, cheeses, breads (toaster was great!). We preferred brunch and ate a couple of times at Avocado close to hotel which was reasonably priced and delicious.

Only minor issues more preferences really. I prefer more rustic wholemeal/grain/rye breads but just a sweet brown bread was available and I like hot plates for hot food. We were on the 1st floor so it was a bit noisy at times more at night time when revellers passed but i always have ear plugs so no major issue.

The room/bathroom is very nice, clean & comfortable. The breakfast is AMAZING! The staff are extremely helpful. The location is perfect, you can walk everywhere from here (La Sagrada Familia & Park Guell may be too far for some, but if you're not a walker like me the subway & bus are extremely close to the hotel).

I really can't say enough good things about this place, will absolutely stay there again, and highly recommend it. However, just a few things to know - they don't provide washcloths so bring your own, the wifi didn't work well at least during my stay, and there are only a few TV channels all in Spanish - if watching TV is important to you.

The location is awesome. Very close to everything, but off the beaten path, so it's not loud. Hotel and room very clean. Breakfast was very nice. We didn't add this cost to our room charge which worked out good because we only ate there once. There are bakeries everywhere, so we grabbed a pastry and coffee most mornings. The staff was excellent and helped with directions and other info. I would definitely stay here again.

We thought the bed and pillows were very very firm and a little uncomfortable. But that is our only complaint.
