Ambience, decor both superb with warm efficient staff ( Tomas and Julian were exceptional concierges and Miranda is a delightful mutitasker) The heart of the old town full of medieval mystery and architecture, is an amazing setting for this wonderful discovery for a stay in Barcelona, near fun tapas bars, restaurants and wine bars. Terrific.

The staff is very friendly, and the design is simple yet charming.

1. Taxis do not come directly to the hotel, and if you plan to take a taxi during the day, you will need to cross a fairly busy square on foot. 2. The rooms are quite small, and as a result, there was not enough space for two suitcases. 3. Water in the shower flows simultaneously from both showerheads (the overhead rain shower and the regular handheld one), and it cannot be adjusted. 4. Breakfasts: In the morning, if you happen to arrive at breakfast at the same time as many others, be prepared for a long wait, and some items on your breakfast order may be mixed up or not brought at all.

The hotel was perfectly located just inside the medieval city. After a days exploring it was like coming back to a beautiful oasis of calm. The roof top garden was lovely. Staff were exceptional. The building and ambience was beautiful.

The staff is what made this boutique hotel so exceptional. Room was very nice but the desk staff spent so much time with us explaining where to go and what to do. Made the trip so much easier. And the location was perfect. We walked almost every where.

Dinner could be nicer, staff at dinner was a bit less attentive then other staff :-( A bit difficult for taxis and luggage to get to the house... Pool on the rooftop terrace was unfortunately neither warm nor clean...
