We had a truly wonderful experience staying at Hotel Gótico. From the moment we walked in, we were struck by how clean and inviting everything was—the fresh scent in the lobby set the tone for our stay. The hotel is beautifully designed and impressively modern, with stylish hallways and doors that felt solid and secure. We appreciated the peace of mind knowing our room—and our children’s room next door—felt safe and well-situated. The little bit of privacy in the hallway where our rooms were located was also a thoughtful touch. The interior design of the rooms was tasteful, and the bathrooms were sleek and up-to-date. Everything was spotless. The beds were perfectly firm, just the way we like them, and the linens were consistently fresh and clean. Having a safe in the room was a practical bonus. We loved opening the windows or French doors to let the breeze in and enjoy views of the lively street below—it made the room feel even more welcoming. One of the highlights was the breakfast—it truly was the best we’ve had across all our travels in Europe and the U.S. The hotel’s central location made it easy for us to walk everywhere, whether we were dining out or exploring the heart of the city. Thank you for such a memorable stay. Hotel Gótico has become our home away from home.

I wish there were wash cloths available in the bathrooms.

The property is located in the Gothic Quarter and is a 10 minute walk to Las Ramblas. You can meander through the laneways surrounding the hotel which are very picturesque and are lined with various shops. Hotel reception spoke English and were polite. The lifts do not have an added security swipe to access floors. The metro is within minutes. There is a bar/restaurant nearby. Opposite is an ice creamery. I chose a single room which was very small but comfortable, clean and modern. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The bedside table was of a medium size, despite the tight dimensions of the room. The air-conditioning worked well. There was a room safe and tea making facilities, desk/chair. The bathroom was modern and clean and a reasonable size. There was a hairdryer and toiletries provided by the hotel.

I like security swipe cards in lifts and another hotel (3 star) stayed in Barcelona provided this which provided an additional layer of security.

The location is superb, right in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona, excellent to explore and close to any cafes, transport.

The property is very run down for a 4 star hotel. I have stayed in various 4 star hotels throughout Spain and this was the worst. The room was too small and a bit dusty for the price that I have paid. There is no conditioner in the shower among the included amenities. Also this hotel needs better sound proof as I could hear my neighbours in the next room who woke me up in the middle of the night as I could hear their conversation.

The room was spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds, including a handy fridge and kettle in a fantastic location. The daily room cleaning was excellent The reception staff were extremely friendly and very helpful

The hotel was quite pricey, rooms being on the small side. The extra charge buffet breakfast was plentiful, but the hot food selection was cold, our first day we asked for fresh eggs and we were told, no, finished, even though it was within the time, The second day the eggs were brought out (at the same time) but not hot. On occasions the room had an odour

The location was fantastic. We were literally steps from the Metro And as soon as you walk out of the hotel you are in the middle of everything. That was awesome The breakfast was fresh and varied. Room was small but very comfortable.

The morning we left the entire Gothic quarter was closed off for a marathon race and we were unable to catch our flight. It was a disaster And cost me thousands of dollars extra to go home. I would have appreciated it if the staff had informed us and the other guests At the hotel about this situation so we could have avoided it.

The best part was the easy communication with the staff and their friendliness and respect. We asked in advance if we can drop our bags at the hotel before our check in, because we would arrive very early and the staff prepared our room to be available at our arrival, so we got to check in at 9:00 instead of 14:00. At the end of our stay we left our luggage at the hotel and enjoyed our day before our flight. The staff called a taxi for us and were the most helpful. Also realy loved the location!

Bits and bobs: - you could hear what was happening outside and unfortunately we caught 2 protests while there and were woken up but it passed quickly, - at first we didn’t have a toilet brush, but we asked at the reception and they gave us one

Fantastic staff! They made our holiday better by being kind, accommodating and making us feel welcome. The cleaners as well, very friendly. I hope they found us respectful, too. We also appreciated the fridge, AC and quality of the linen. The hotel is close to most things you might need or want to see and the view onto the street was entertaining and picturesque. Thank you for our stay!

The beds were just a little too hard but nothing to complain about.

Perfect location, walking distance to many attractions, shops, great restaurants and the beach. Also, 1 min away from the metro. The room was spacious and pretty well equipped. Good breakfast and very friendly and polite staff. I would come here again.

I would have liked more storage space in the closet, as there was only one shelf and some hangers, a coat rack/hangers on the hallway and a shelf in the bathroom for personal toiletries would be useful. But these are nice to have things, I managed pretty well without it.

The hotel’s location was perfect—just steps away from the station and La Rambla, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. While the hotel itself was a bit small and lacked a pool, this wasn’t an issue since I was traveling in winter and didn’t need outdoor amenities. Despite that, everything else was fantastic. A special thanks to the hotel team for their exceptional service in locating my lost passport and even upgrading me to a balcony room with a lovely view. It truly made my stay even more enjoyable!

I prefer hotels with more space, such as a large lobby and a pool, but this one was manageable. Its excellent location, close to the station and La Rambla, made up for the smaller size.

Perfect location for everything we wanted to do. It was close enough to the main streets that it was easy for our taxis/transfers to pick us up. There was some road closures one day due to a rally nearby and it was an easy walk to the hotel from where we had to get pickedup/dropped off since our shuttle couldn't come to the street. I would stay here again.

Our rooms were facing the street and on the 3rd floor. It wasn't noisy every night but the late night party goers were definitely a little annoying some nights.
