Very tasty breakfast, nice, restaurant and lobby, clean room with everything you may need.

The room was a little bitt to small for 2 persons

It was the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Everything was amazing: the room had a great design, was clean, comfortable, spacious, with plenty of room for storage. It had all the facilities - AC, fridge, TV with big screen. Bathroom big and clean. A very nice atmosphere surrounded us from the first moment we stepped in. The breakfast was above all our expectations. It had everything you could wish for - from ham, cheese, eggs, bacon, youghurt, cereals, fruits, vegetables, croissants, cakes, and other pastries to fresh juices, smoothies, tea, milk and coffe. All fresh and tasty and diversified every day. The hotel also has a great location, close to Diagonal Metro Station (8 minutes walk), 2 minutes walk from the bus station, 10 minutes walk from La Pedrera (Casa Mila), we could easily reach every point of our visiting plan. The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. Even if we arrived very early in the morning (8 am), they had the room ready and checked us in immediately so that we could rest after a long flight. If we were to visit Barcelona again, we would choose Room Mate Carla Hotel again without any doubt!

We were sad that you couldn’t access the balcony from the room as this was partly why we had booked this particular hotel. Because of the this and the works we feel it should have been reflected in the price. There also wasn’t any USB sockets in the room.

The location was excellent.Our room was quiet, even with the window open at night. The bed was super comfortable.The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional.

Location was good. Central but quiet. Good restaurants nearby. We walked everywhere. Very clean. Comfortable bed. The courtyard was good particularly as there's an awning to cover it for privacy. But it was quite bare and stark. Outdoor seating was more for eating or working at the table. Fully stocked fridge. Price list available too. We didn't have breakfast, so can't comment.

We have no complaints. These are our personal opinions. It felt a bit corporate. Dark, glossy decorated entry and dark corridors. A high reception desk feels more like a barrier. Most staff were friendly enough, some too busy to notice. The room was a decent size but the bed was right beside door. Had to come in and close the door before getting fully into the room.

Nice and comfy hotel with a very good location — close to everything we needed. The staff was helpful in allowing us a late checkout, which we really appreciated. The room was clean and well-maintained, with a pleasant atmosphere.

The air conditioning didn’t seem to cool the room properly; we often had to open the windows to get some cool fresh air. Staff could be more attentive — for example, when we asked about laundry on a Sunday, we were just told it wasn’t available, with no alternative offered. We were not informed about the city tax in advance — it was only mentioned at checkout, unlike in other hotels where we were notified beforehand.

Everything was wonderful! Our room # was 309. The window overlook backyard - super quiet! General location is perfect - just 10min walk to metro station and 15min walk to Sagrada. The same time to Placa Catalunya. I'm a bit in shock from people who was not satisfied by breakfast (it could be better). Guys, c'mon! I had better breakfast just in 5* in TLV or in ALL Incl in Egypt (many years ago!). Very clean room, new furniture, hot water. Didn't hear neighbors. Please remember you will be charged additionally during check out - city tax (~37Eu per 3night). 21-24.03.2025

This is true - don't understand the man who created such door in toilet (toilet and shower are separated). If you still believe that princesses are not farting/pissing - you will be a bit disappointed :) But this is smth local staff can't change.

We had a nice, large, and bright room facing the main street in Carla. The location is somewhat far from downtown but close to Sagrada Familia and away from the tourist crowd (therefore in a semi-equate street), which is what we were looking for. We visited the restaurants around the hotel mainly populated by locals, which was nice and brought us closer to the city's culture. The room was well-cleaned daily. We did not have breakfast in the hotel because it is expensive (EURO 22 per day per person), and you can find excellent breakfasts anywhere in Barcelona for a fraction of the price.

For example, the hotel has some rundown furniture (e.g., the sink cabinet in the WC) and needs to repair the washroom door in our room.

Four stars hotels, that I usually use, are mostly quite similar. However, what makes the difference is the personnel and this was the case of Room Mate Carla. You really feel welcomed and the staff really cares. I had some problem with AC / heating and everybody really tried to solve (in the end they did to my satisfaction :-) ) I don't their names so I would like to thank them all. And breakfast was very good as well. And I really liked the design of the lobby!

it's actually not a dislike, but I never know where to put the huge pile of pillows I do not need :-)

The room was very comfortable and spacious, including the toilet. Everything was also very clean. The location is also very good, near the main points and well connected, with stations nearby.

The breakfast wasn't very good. The warm plates were actually cold (for example, cold omelete and bacon), and the breakfast hours were a bit late from my point of view, with breakfast being served from 7am onwards. If you have an early flight you risk not being able to have breakfast at the hotel. Besides, the wi-fi wasn't great neither. Connection got lost from time to time and very low upload speed.
