Villa Turistica is the main hotel in the delightful, fairly remote village of Bubion. For such a small village the hotel is very well-appointed. The rooms are in self-contained apartment blocks in a lovely distributed setting with associated outdoor spaces. My single room was better than expected - two large rooms, a well-equipped bathroom and veranda. The main hotel building has a restaurant every night and the staff were welcoming and professional. My visit was a solo hiking trip of 3 days and Bubion is just about the best location for hikes up and down the Poqueira valley although a rental car is advisable.

While not a problem with the hotel at all, Bubion has very limited dining options at least in April. Like many travellers, I try not to eat in the hotel restaurant every single evening as it becomes rather monotonous and unadventurous. Some nights there was nowhere else to eat within walking distance. I expect in summer the choice is larger. The car park is not large enough. When the hotel is even partially full, it's a little chaos negotiating the randomly-parked vehicles. One one occasion I had to drive into the village and park on the street, without knowing whether it was permitted!

Great apartment with separate bedrooms for adults and the kids, lovely balcony with wonderful views down the valley, in walking distance of hotel. Breakfast was buffet style and plenty of it and lovely. Beds comfortable and shower great. Beds made up as singles for the kids which was great. Parking easy on site.

All good but the little outdoor pool was closed (due to the season) which was a shame!

Great little villa with a nice small garden patio. The place was larger than we expected. The view on the plaza was nice, but it’s lacking a mountain view.

The village of Bubion was a bit too quiet (few restaurants opened during the middle of the week),in comparison with the nearby village Capileira.

- The hotel is located in Bubion which is a very picturesque village with beautiful mountain views. - The staff at the reception was very friendly and welcoming. All of the reception staff spoke English. - We booked a two-bedroom villa and it was very spacious. I would definitely recommend it for family with kids. - The rooms had proper heating. - The shower had a good pressure and the water was hot. - The hotel has a restaurant which also serves dinner (I believe lunch as well). This is useful as dining options in the village are quite limited. The quality of food is decent.

- The room had the tiniest TV ever. - There was no kettle and hair-dryer in the room. To be fair, we walked to the reception to get them and they were provided. It would have been nice though to have both already in the room. - We left our luggage outside near the door before checking out and the lady who was cleaning the second floor just poured dirty water from the second floor down so our luggage got soaked. This was a bit sloppy. - Breakfast was plentiful but very high on carbs. More vegetables and healthier options would have been appreciated.

Lovely hotel with swimming pool. Charming staff. We had a one bed "villa" with great views. Rooms have air con, hairdryer, and a small fridge. Continental breakfast. Peaceful, and well located. We will return.

The decor in the villa we stayed in was a little tired. Also found the fruit juices at breakfast very sweet - quite unpleasant.

Everything perfect

Sadly, I Had to refuse a meal (pork shoulder) and send it back as it was meat-less and inedible. There was no argument- the waiter brought the menu for an alternative to be chosen It would have been more appropriate -had they not served it in the first place.....and maybe said sorry for us having to swap the meal.

We made our booking with dinner, bed and breakfast and where pleasantly surprised. The room, on the first floor of its own separate building, was actually a suite with a large bedroom, separate lounge and well sized bathroom. The suite was fully equipped with air-con and opening doors to a nicely sized balcony overlooking the pool and reception. The food was first class, with a excellent continental buffet breakfast and 5 course dinner using many of the locally found ingredients. We decided on using this hotel as a base for walking around the other villages close to Bubion and the super walk routes all around. We would highly recommend the hotel and the surrounding area.

Although the location and facilities where very good some of the sun parasol's by the pool and the outside bar should be replaced as many where either torn or broken. The parking areas are limited so its advised to check-in early.

the fruit juices from the machine during breakfast were too artificial and sugary. There were not enough parking spots next to the villas

The facilities, the pool, the staff, and the location were all excellent. The breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly.

There's nothing I didn't like. I was very happy with the price/quality.

Lovely atmosphere

The safe needed a newbattery and the shower did not work because a washer was missing. The cleaner should have picked this up ..
