Beautiful riverside hotel right next to the old town with lots of places to eat and drink. The staff were very accommodating when the weather turned inclement so were unable to eat our breakfast outside on the terrace with the dogs. Fernando on reception was especially helpful when we arrived early, Muchas gracias! The rooms are very big, with my particular favourite facility of a Nespresso machine. Remember to bring your own pods if you want more than one cup. The room had 2 huge dog beds (which my girls preferred to their own beds which we'd lugged in from the car!) and a fabulous view of the river and the transporter bridge. Just perfect.

Finding your way to the hotel isn't always easy, even with a sat nav, and unless you're lucky enough to get a spot in the underground car park (which we were) then you may need to park quite a way from the hotel.

Very nice hotel in a superb location right next to the Puente Colgate. Rooms were very nice and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Good location if you are heading to the port for a ferry.

no kettle in the room, which is poor for a 4 star hotel. (There is an nespresso coffee machine). Breakfast, (which we did not take) is very expensive at €22 per person! There are several very good bars / restaurants in very close proximity where you can have a great breakfast for a lot less. The underground car park is very tight and the spaces are really small.

Our room was bright and spacious with a balcony overlooking the water and busy pedestrian area with cafes and restaurants. We had plenty of storage space, a large tv, coffee machine and the good sized ensuite had a tub and strong shower. We didn't have a great deal of interaction with the staff but the guy on reception and restaurant staff were helpful and friendly Whilst there were a number of places to eat close to the hotel, we chose to have a pre dinner drink and our evening meal in the hotel restaurant. The fish soup and chicken stew were tasty and the three course menu for €30 included a reasonable bottle of Rioja - so all in all, pretty good value for money.

The hotel is situated on a pedestrianised area so finding the way into the underground carpark was a challenge.

Love the position of this hotel right on the river easy access to boat rides and the river crossing. Lots going on in the square in front of the hotel with its bandstand and surrounding bars etc. Staff are great, easy undercover parking and so close to the ferry . We had a great room overlooking the river and promenade. Not our first time here and absolutely will not be our last.

Only one thing and it is not a criticism, and that’s the bathroom fan was noisy, but, it in no way diminished the enjoyment of our stay.

not actually related to the hotel but the struggle to enter the steps into the hotel was unexpected due to the large group of street traders who were hanging around the entire front area of the hotel, not only causing an inconvenience but also a little discomforting due to the large numbers congregating outside the steps. We arrived at 2pm and they were still there at 9pm! Perhaps the management could do something about it?

this hotel is in an amazing location on the river in an upmarket area. the terrace was a wonderful place to relax and the staff super friendly and helpful. the area itself is worth exploring with lovely walks along the river, restaurants, cafes and shops. we also taxied into Biblao for the guggenheim and old town visit. Bilbao is a beautiful, clean and safe city to visit with a lovely vibe. This hotel was a lovely end to our holiday, assisted with onsite secure parking and we felt exceptionally well looked after. Also good location for being close to the ferry port.

Location: The hotel is in the suburbs of Bilbao (Portugalete), so it is a little bit far (20 min) from the centre of the town although there is an easy way (train or metro) to reach the town. Room and View: Our room was in front of the bulding with an exceptional view to the river. If it was behind (without view) we do not think that the stay is valuable for money.

Breakfast starts at 8 p.m. (during the weekends) and this is too late for someone that wants to go out to Bilbao centre. It is not convenient for people that want mostly to go to museums or the old town of Bilbao as it is not located in a central point.

Large and well decorated room with a view over the river. Staff at reception were excellent and really helpful.

Service in the restaurant appeared to be very disorganised with nobody taking overall control. Loud music from DJ in booth on the terrace while piped music being played indoors. Very difficult to spot the entrance to the car park. Perhaps some information on this could be provided to anyone who books a stay there.

The room was comfortable, the hotel offers free tea and coffee facility. Menu in restaurant was limited. Staff is friendly and the room was clean. A big football match was on that night so there was plenty of animation around the town. However we did not hear any noise during the night. Bathroom is superb with 2 shower heads, toilet and a bidet!! Lovely supply of toiletries and toothbrush. Just 15 minutes away from the ferry terminal, really handy and no traffic on the way.

The name of the hotel is NOT visible from the road!! It would help to have a large sign with the name of the hotel so that we know when we have arrived!!! The area the hotel was in looked a bit rough. Charge for parking the car was 19 euros, which we found a bit steep.

Location. Clean good sized room with comfortable beds. Lovely view from room. Metro to Bilbao short walk away and very easy to travel to Bilbao and back. Cross river to local beaches or short metro journey to playa de Sopelana. Lovely cafes for breakfast nearby. Ate in hotel (casual) restaurant one night and good food at reasonable price
