This Ibis hotel is better than most other Ibis hotels we've stayed at. The staff were all very friendly and polite. Rooms were quite spacious, nice, and clean. Location is very close to a shopping mall which has a food court so finding a place to eat is not an issue. It is quite far from other restaurants though, some driving may be required if you don't like what the food court has to offer. Breakfast was very good for an Ibis hotel.

Location was in an industrial area, but we knew that going in, so this is not a complaint, just a statement. Other than that, everything is great.

Our room was big enough for 3 people, it was clean and our towels and bedsheets were changed regularly. The beds were quite alright and the bedsheets were clean and with no holes or cuts in them (might seem strange but we've been to supposedly luxurious places with torn bedsheets, dust all over, broken glas, hole in the floor etc..). The communication with the hotel was was and fast peior to our arrival, check in and check out were great.. In addition to all, of course the great price which included breakfast, the hotel was a greeat value for money! Not to forget, this Ibis is located just across the road from a shopping center with kids center in it!

Great to catch ferry back to Rosslare, Ireland. Only about 15 minute drive. Area not great but big shopping centre other side of the road. Petrol station right beside Hotel. Burger King. Lidl 2 min walk same side of road. Bus 2 minute walk to get to Bilbao city centre , Casco Viejo (about 30 minutes; 1eur50 per person); worth leaving the neighbourhood to get into town for food and drinks. Very quiet hotel. Comfortable room. Clean. Very good buffet style breakfast to suit everybody's taste.

Air conditioning looked old; noisy. Very good buffet breakfast with a lot of choice but cold milk/ milk alternatives left at room temperature though so not very tasty; a few lumps.

We stayed at Ibis Bilbao Barakaldo for one night. It was a nice place and conveniently located near the Max shopping center. The staff at the hotel were exceptionally kind and helpful, making our stay very pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable, providing all the essentials we needed for a short stay. The hotel also offered a good breakfast selection that helped us start our day off right. Additionally, the location made it easy to explore the nearby attractions and shopping areas. Overall, it was a great stay and we would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Nothing was negative about our stay; everything met or exceeded our expectations.

The location to the Brittany Ferries is very good and on the Sat. Nav I found it very easy to find situated on the main road. The hotel rooms were spotlessly clean . The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and a good choice of the food buffet.

I found the evening meal menu choice was minimal and all not really to my liking. The Mixed Salad was a laugh, a pile of lettuce with four slices of tomato and a couple of spoonful's of tuna on the top. When queried with the waiter he replied ' it all we have '. Yes, no egg, cucumber, onion. ?????????? Not a fan of the Chef !! I did however enjoy the ham and mushroom pizza but I not a Pizza man

Hotel is excellent. How Booking.com are one of the most deceptive companies out there and WILL ripp you off even though they are at fault. Tread carefully !!! Having said that awesome hotel......

Booking.com are a thieving company.... I would like to see that Booking.com were banned from trading....

Very helpful staff & the usual ibis good quality of room & premises. A good shopping mall very close by on the opposite side of the road. Limited parking & not reserved but street parking normally available around the block when we visited end of August. Petrol station right next door convenient if travelling by car. Good tip if visiting beautiful Bilbao & if you have a car: drive a few minutes from ibis Hotel to the Metro & use the Metro Parking. Parking is expensive but when you use the Metro, the Metro ticket which you buy from a machine inside the station, also serves as a discount on the parking ticket which will be charged at 70 cents Euro for 24 hours! Staff will gladly explain.

Secure private parking for car was great as we had a loaded car during our travel. Breakfast was very good, great choice and freshly baked croissants Very clean and modern, perfect for a night staying during travel. 20 min from the port so perfect location to board the ferries from Bilbao. 5 min walk from the bus stop leading to Bilbao city centre (approximately 40 min drive) Very friendly staff at the reception and breakfast

We chose this Ibis as we drove from Alicante and wanted somewhere to stay which is close to the Ferry Port as we are travelling back to Northern Ireland for Christmas. We have our small dog with us which is permitted at this Ibis, for an additional fee. The Hotel is Right next to a service station and food outlets/restaurants. We had a reasonably good rest. Free parking on site too!

The staff were outstanding; they were all helpful and friendly; their English was mostly good and they did their best to understand our English/Spanish!!!! Free car park excellent but completely full by end of evening; Room a good size and quiet and bed extremely comfortable; Bathroom spotless and spacious walk in shower with good soap and shower gel; Convenient restaurant on site with limited dinner menu and good value continental breakfast ...... served by lovely staff; Very close to Ferry Port. Good value budget hotel which felt safe.

Situated on very busy main road!!!! Not pretty surroundings but close to Lidl and next door to petrol station; Due to fast moving traffic getting to hotel difficult and confusing.
