Very easy to walk right from the hotel to the old part of the city, then down the river and back again. I like the wide open large common area in the ground floor and entrance that combines eating area, chill area, working benches, bar. The gym was cool to use, just for a quick bike ride and light weights The room was modern, the shower head was amazing, huge with great pressure

Hotel BED4U Bilbao is one of the nicest hotels that I have ever stayed in. I had such a wonderful time here from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. When I first arrived, I was amazed at the overall modern, sleek look and cleanliness of the hotel. The staff gave me an incredibly warm and friendly welcome, they had no problem storing my bags away for several hours until I could properly check-in. My first impressions of my room were great, it was very minimalistic which is what I expected, but I liked the style of the room and the open-plan design with the bedroom and bathroom. There was enough clothes storage for one person, the toiletries provided were of good quality and the bed was extremely comfortable. Soundproofing in the room was good, the view out of the window was fine as well and the window came fitted with a blackout blind which was great for me as I love to sleep in a pitch-black room. Probably my favourite thing about the room though was the shower and the rainfall shower head, plus this is the ONLY hotel that I've stayed at that gave me a bath sheet instead of a tiny bath towel which I loved. Going back downstairs, there was a 24hr cafeteria with a full menu of items. I only took advantage of the cafeteria once, but both the range and quality of the food and drink available was great, the prices were pretty fair as well. Breakfast was also of good quality, although I do think at €14 each night, it was a tad bit too expensive even with the wide variety of options available.

There were only two things that I didn't like about this hotel. The first was the location; it's a considerable distance away from any of the major attractions in the city and around a ten minute walk away from the nearest metro station. On top of that, the hotel is on a hill and not on a main road so it took me a while to find it when I first arrived into the city. The second thing that I didn't like was the desk chair in the room. The chair just wasn't comfortable to sit on at all and I was able to hear people in other rooms dragging their chairs on the ground because of the wooden flooring in the rooms and the fact that there's no rubber feet on the chairs.

I had a large (all the space I needed) and comfortable room which was very clean. It felt quite modern and well maintained. The location was good, on the edge of the new town, but not too far from most sites (20-25 minutes walk to the Guggenheim). I paid extra for the buffet breakfast, and although I'm vegetarian, there was plenty of options for me and it was very filling. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming and always willing to help or answer questions. Again they spoke excellent English.

Admittedly it was Saturday night, but although the hotel is tucked away, there was loud music (bar, party?) nearby which went on until about 2am. But other than that the area was quiet and peaceful and would thoroughly recommend.

The hotel is excellent. Everything was good arranged, the linen were extremely clean, the rooms are spacious enough. The WiFi signal was good (one have to sign in to get the access though).

The parking options near the hotel are limited, one should look for the parking elsewhere. The hotel is located in the immigrant area. There are very limited choices on the hotel's smart TV - I would expect to have at least the YouTube option/program available, instead they have many Spanish TV channels, some English, some German, some French and some Italian - really boring, the time of TV channels is long over.

Very clean and well presented hotel with great facilities and very friendly and helpful staff. Extremely comfortable bed, large walk-in shower, easy to use safe, and fantastic state of the art TV and music equipment in room. Delicious breakfast with wide offer of both savoury and sweet food. 24-hour bar and gym availability. Gym small, but well equipped for both weight and cardio training. Very good value for money compared to other hotels on offer. Would definitely return.

Not a lot of clothes storage space in room. No tea/coffee making facility in room. Bedroom window looked across to block of flats with clear view of residents inside. Only 1 coffee making machine in breakfast area so had to queue. Location a little far from Bilbao centre (15 mins walk up and down hill) and in noticeable less affluent part.

I like the hotel, but the location for my work was not the best. I really got annoyed because I always ask hotel with parking and breakfast, but they do not have parking we have to walk about 5 min from the hotel to be able to park the car, if you are working with some load and you have a kid is probably not the best location.

Parking conditions. I ask parking in my request and after a book the hotel I got an email from them to say that I have to walk to park my car, it was annoying from the hotel and booking, because I could not cancel my reservation. Just be honest!!!

Clean, great value for money room in Bilbao. Very helpful staff happy to assist in anything and offer advice and also very welcoming with accommodating requests. Breakfasts was also nice with limited but a few vegan options.

The location is not ideal in terms of the neighborhood. It seems a bit dangerous to walk during the night. I would prefer some more options for vegans for the breakfast, and I do not mean fruits. Maybe some vegan cheese or similar would be nice.

Very accommodating to babies, baby bath, cot & extra towels in the room

Baby cot mattress should be flat and firm, ours was soft and had a slant so baby kept moving down. When we asked for extra sheets to make up the spare bed to co-sleep the staff were “shocked “ asking why we would need sheets even though the room had 2 beds. We felt like we were putting them out

Looks quite new, very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, comfy bed, good location in quiet area and rooms are well insulated from street noise. Small bar and seating area in reception, also served small meals and snacks so handy if you didn't feel like going out in the evening. The room was quite small, fine for one person but tight for two people. Probably fine for 2 or 3 nights with small luggage. The location is about 15 minutes walk to the main shopping centre and beginning of the old town (the receptionist warned us not to take a shorter route which goes through a less desirable area, especially at night). There are a few local grocery shops and a pharmacy and supermarket close by. Note, the first 3 or 4 minutes of the walk are downhill, so uphill coming back! Taxis are easy to find, about €8 from the old town back to the hotel.

Floor in room wasn't 100% clean, could have done with another sweep / hoover but it was OK. Walls seemed a bit thin, I had quiet neighbours so no problems but the walls shook a little when their door slammed shut.

The hotel was like new and very clean. Staff were young helpful and smiley and with my loose grip of Spanish and their better English resulted in a relaxed exchange. Breakfasts were great with decent coffee. Showers excellent. Both are key composites of every good hotel stay.

If I was being very picky I would have liked the hotel a bit closer to central Bilbao. It's still within walking distance but a little off the beaten track. Sensitive people may not like the slightly poorer post industrial setting down a side street but the hotel was still a very comfortable oasis. No problem for us. Bilbao felt a very safe city.
