Really great interior design. The mix of old wooden beams and bricks, with brand new clean modern bathroom and other, really made this room pleasing. We had the maritime theme which was gorgeous with red industrial crane and rusty iron features in the furniture. The room felt super cosy yet cool, and the noise from the bars below was pleasing to hear. The facilities, access and location were all excellent. Loved the hair straightener and coffee potential - although we were up too early to use the machine as it is not turned on till 7:30. Overall one of my favourite places I’ve stayed.

Only limitation is the hot water in the shower was limited and turned cool after a while.

Loved the location, cannot be more central than that! The facility is beautiful, different, our room was very nicely decorated and clean. The only worrisome thing for us was when we noticed earplugs in the bathroom... we though - uh- that we will be miserable and won't sleep. The crowds at night (on a Thursday night) were insane! Thousands of people out on the street, drinking and having a good time. The plugs came in handy and surprisingly, we did sleep! Of course, the recycling trucks came early and started emptying all those bottles from the bins - another fun part. Nevertheless, even with this, I would stay there again. Note - we are not at the age of the youth having fun, we're their parents' age - and still enjoyed it ;-). Definitely not a place for you, if you want peace and quiet ;-)

Maybe a place to store some clothes would have been nice, but we just left them in the suitcases...

There was one male staff member, he was incredibly helpful and could answer all of our questions. He also helped us with bus tickets and explanations of a cultural event that took place. The location was fabulous, right in the old town and a corner room enabled us to open balconies on both sides of the room. With the windows closed we were not disturbed by noise. The room was tastefully decorated, perfectly clean, comfortable bed and all necessary facilities including hair dryer and shampoo. The coffee machine was great and little lounge area good for gathering. Location was easy to find and access (note 2 flights of stairs and no lift). Would definitely stay again.

Basque Boutique is located in hat Casco Viejo, the old town of Bilbao. The apartment itself is great, the comfort is very good and it is easy to get to, although there is no traffic allowed in the old town streets. It's just a short walk from the nearest public transportation stop.

The apartment being in the old town has a drawback. The streets get very crowdy until late at night, which is great for going out for a drink, but it gets very noisy. The apartment does not seem to stop much of the noise from entering. Earplugs are provided for a reason.

Loved the Old Town location. Yes, be prepared for the buzz, particularly at weekend, but it really isn’t so bad. It comes with the territory. you’ve chosen. The property was easy to locate and the pre-arrival communication from the property was helpful. All staff we encountered were friendly. Our room (102) was small but comfortable. Good bathroom, strong shower, great hair dryer & straighteners if required. Toiletries provided and replenished. Nice touch with the daily water bottles and communal drinks station. The traditional clothing dress up rail was fun. We loved the quirkiness. Our stay here, and in Bilbao generally, was a delight. We wouldn’t hesitate to choose this property again.

The accommodation has a great location in the old town, close to major attractions and public transport. Amazing decor of the room and common areas. Impeccable cleanliness, daily cleaning, coffee, tea and water provided. Snow-white sheets, comfortable pillows and a phenomenal mattress. Complete freedom to check in and out and, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Excellent soundproofing despite the many bars and restaurants around. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

Perfect location, close to the Cathedral, museums, restaurants, shops and bus and Metro stop. Super nice room, spacious and comfy. Placed on 1st floor without elevator, but with a 2 yo toddler I could easily leave the buggy downstairs where there is a big hall. Only suggestion that I can give is to place a bigger bin in the toilet, special for staying of families (nappies...!) Staff smilie very helpful and kind. I highly recommend this place!!!

Location was excellent, all major attractions within easy walking distance. We were in a room with three balconies, all double glazed which ensured a peaceful and relaxing nights sleep. The facilities in the room and common area are excellent. The staff were absolutely amazing, a huge thank you to Vikki and her team who went out of their way to ensure we had all the information we needed to enjoy and make the most of our time in Bilbao, including recommendations of where to go and how to get there. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the Basque Boutique Hotel.

Noise from the street at night was very disruptive even with ear plugs. I am not a light sleeper but still found it almost impossible to sleep and the noise goes on til about 4 in the morning. No hangers or clothing storage in the room - not an essential but it's handy to have somewhere to hang your coat/shirt/dress.

Handy location for a brief overnight stay in Bilbao. Good facilities and easy check-in. Staff very friendly. Quirky room and space overall - we enjoyed it. Wasn't as noisy as we thought it might be given other guest descriptions of the area. It is right at the heart of the touristy bit of the old town.

Location means it's a decent 10min walk to the car park, which was expensive even with the discount offered. Would have been tricky with heavy bags as the rooms are also up two flights of stairs.
