This was a super place, extremely clean with a lovely little area near receptions with coffee and fridge access. The arrangements for access were clear and easy to follow. We loved our room which felt very Shakespearean - we both wanted to stay in it and write a play whilst watching the world go by.

Unfortunately it was extremely noisy. I suspect this was because ours was the room that looked out over the street - it seemed to be in the key location where everyone chose to stay out at the bar until the early hours. It may be quieter at other times of the year, but even the ear plugs provided in the bathroom couldn’t help here.

Really great interior design. The mix of old wooden beams and bricks, with brand new clean modern bathroom and other, really made this room pleasing. We had the maritime theme which was gorgeous with red industrial crane and rusty iron features in the furniture. The room felt super cosy yet cool, and the noise from the bars below was pleasing to hear. The facilities, access and location were all excellent. Loved the hair straightener and coffee potential - although we were up too early to use the machine as it is not turned on till 7:30. Overall one of my favourite places I’ve stayed.

Only limitation is the hot water in the shower was limited and turned cool after a while.

Classic Botique experience in old town. Fun decorations with music theme and tree sculpture in entry area. Kept me stocked with coffee capsules. Code and key system world well. Receptionists were nice when around. Air con was a must. Worked well and was quiet. Close to transport too.

It’s a late night party area below the balcony, so if that’s not your scene ask for a room at the back. The good quality balcony door did reduce the noise a lot. If you can’t stand the noise, join them.

Loved the location, cannot be more central than that! The facility is beautiful, different, our room was very nicely decorated and clean. The only worrisome thing for us was when we noticed earplugs in the bathroom... we though - uh- that we will be miserable and won't sleep. The crowds at night (on a Thursday night) were insane! Thousands of people out on the street, drinking and having a good time. The plugs came in handy and surprisingly, we did sleep! Of course, the recycling trucks came early and started emptying all those bottles from the bins - another fun part. Nevertheless, even with this, I would stay there again. Note - we are not at the age of the youth having fun, we're their parents' age - and still enjoyed it ;-). Definitely not a place for you, if you want peace and quiet ;-)

Maybe a place to store some clothes would have been nice, but we just left them in the suitcases...

There was one male staff member, he was incredibly helpful and could answer all of our questions. He also helped us with bus tickets and explanations of a cultural event that took place. The location was fabulous, right in the old town and a corner room enabled us to open balconies on both sides of the room. With the windows closed we were not disturbed by noise. The room was tastefully decorated, perfectly clean, comfortable bed and all necessary facilities including hair dryer and shampoo. The coffee machine was great and little lounge area good for gathering. Location was easy to find and access (note 2 flights of stairs and no lift). Would definitely stay again.

Cost vs value, position. It was in the middle of the old section, whi h Is the heart of the city. As a result, you are surrounded by the restaurants, bars, and artiginal shops. By being here, you get a real flavor for the city. The noise from the street Is audi le, but that Is part of the experience. The room was very comfortable and good sized. Exposed beams and bricks added to the ambience.

Reception person Is not there often. Check-in Is done via coded entry

Stylish, spotlessly clean and comfortable rooms. Shower room was spacious and very well-designed. Very helpful reception. Ear plugs were provided as there were noisy bars outside (not a problem for us as we are used to street noise). Parking was fairly near, and was discounted for hotel guests. The entrance stairs were very atmospheric, and I appreciated the aircon.

A shelf in the bathroom for some of our toiletries would have been useful.

Perfect location in the old town. It was clean and comfortable, the staff were really friendly and helpful and the quirky design of the room made our stay even more special. There’s a common area with a coffee pod machine which is a nice plus.

Only small downsides were that there are a few flights of stairs to reach the property, which could be challenging with heavy suitcases. And there was no kettle in the room, which we would have appreciated.

Basque Boutique is located in hat Casco Viejo, the old town of Bilbao. The apartment itself is great, the comfort is very good and it is easy to get to, although there is no traffic allowed in the old town streets. It's just a short walk from the nearest public transportation stop.

The apartment being in the old town has a drawback. The streets get very crowdy until late at night, which is great for going out for a drink, but it gets very noisy. The apartment does not seem to stop much of the noise from entering. Earplugs are provided for a reason.

The rooms were amazing! We had everything that we needed, even an offered coffee in the morning. Bathrooms were huge and also the rooms were cozy and the beds super comfortable.

Depends which room you‘ll get, it can get quiet noisy during the night. But with the earplugs they offer it was also not such big of a deal.
