Very clean, nice room, comfy beds. Lovely to have tea of all varieties and coffee maker. Shower was good. Self check in went well. Nice location. Room bigger than expected.

The noise!! Seriously , would give this place 10 if it wasn’t for the appalling noise at night. Not from outside, as you can shut the window, but from inside with people coming in late, banging in doors, and the couple in the next room having massive rows. Shouting in the corridors until 2am. Even the ear plugs,which were kindly proved, didn’t block it out. We left exhausted after 2 broken nights.

- Staff communication was great - Self check-in was easy - Room (no. 20) was small but very clean and comfortable. The en suite bathroom was fully equipped with nice toiletries and the shower was very good! - Breakfast is a small self serve selection. Modest but it set me up for the day! Coffee and hot drinks are available from the dining room 24/7 - The bed & breakfast is located in a very elegant resedential building right in the heart of the very lively old town with lovely marble foors, polished wooden staircases and a glass elevator. It felt like a fancy hotel! - The location couldn't be better for those looking to casually explore Bilbao old town and beyond. If you DON'T want to stay in the center of a bustling loud and fun part of town where people party late into the night you might want to look somewhere else. If you DO want to be at the heart of the action this place is for you! The room was quiet enough for me at all times with the window closed but if you are especially sensitive to noise earphones are helpfully provided. Thank you 7Kale!

we had a wonderful time at the 7 Kale B&B. we could check in as soon as the room was ready (even before 1pm instead of 4 pm check in time). that was really amazing. We had a wonderful room on the fourth floor - I think we got an upgrade since we even had to little balcony's. the room was clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom was well maintained and also clean. Of course it is loud at night if you want to keep the windows open (the b&b is in the middle of the bar cine of Bilbao). If you have the windows closed its super quiet! there is an AC in the room. Can't say anything about breakfast since we always eat in cafes around the corner.

I was on a room only basis and travelled in March. The property is in the heart of the old city, brililant location, only a tram ride to the Guggenheim. Pintxos bars every where and Plaza nueva excellent for eating. I travelled on my own and didn't feel uncomfortable or worried at any time. The room was very clean and fine for me. If I was travelling with a larger companion I might have requested a more spacious room but I wasn't so my room was perfect. I had a small balcony overlooking Casco Vieja. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Id go again, it was a great vacaciones.

The internet didn't work all the time whilst out and about, so couldn't rely on google maps all the time.

The Basque Country is generally quite expensive for accommodation. This little place in the heart of the city center exceeded our expectations. The furniture was carefully selected with great thoughtfulness, the bathroom and sheets were even cleaner than at our own home, and the bed was brand new and comfortable. If you’re looking for a vacation where you won’t spend much time in the room, but want a clean bed, a good night’s sleep, and a central location, my mom and I definitely recommend this place.

Nothing really. With what we paid, I can not complain of anything. There was even coffe machine in reception.

The location of 7 Kale is perfect. It's located in front the municipality hall in Casco Viejo, close to the train station and the tram stop, as well as close to the road for taking taxi. I had a room in the 5th floor with two balconies. It's not noisy at all if the windows are shut. And the room was quite clean, with cleaning service being provided everyday.

The hinges to fix the window panes when shut were either broken or loose, need to be fixed. The paint of the balcony railing and balcony windows need to be redone as well, it was peeling off. But the rest were all great.

Tha apartment itself was lovely and comfy, the location was great.

The staff were a disappointment. They did not advise us that we only needed to use the key pad code on arrival and that we would need to use our room key to access the main door after that. We stayed in Rm18 and came back one day to find that the door had been open all day with all our belongings, passports etc exposed. We were thankful nothing had been taken. The cleaner had not shut the door property and there seemed to an issue with the lock that I noticed had been commented on previously. I advised the staff and got the shrug off. Very disappointing to a lovely stay.

In the middle of the old town. Beautiful building very impressive. Very clean and compact self-service hotel with no reception service. Clean and convenient for a short trip of 4 nights

The room was cold and we couldn’t get the AC work. There was an extra blanket that we used but everyday the housekeeping put it away so we had to bring it down each night. The breakfast was convenient but it could have been nice to have some hard boiled eggs as a healthy option.

Excellent location. The room had amazingly effective sound insolation from the street noise, and the curtains blocked out any light from outside too. The room and bathroom were very clean as well.

The double bed was actually two twin beds pushed together. The pillows were rather flat. If you wanted the towels or sheets to be replaced during your stay, they charge an extra 2 euro per item requested. There were no instructions about how to validate parking and receive the lower rate when leaving the carpark, so it was a process of trial and error, especially because the reception office is hard to find. And, there was no fridge in the room (although, to be fair, they didn't promise a fridge).

Brilliant situation right in the thick of the Casco Viejo, great for exploring Bilbao on foot. Close to the cathedral, lovely riverside prom to the Guggenheim, fantastic old grand buildings, busy centre, good food, and 7 Kale is a great base. It has the most lovely polished wooden staircase and big front doors, and inside is tasteful clean and comfy. Verandas, views down narrow streets but quiet.

I didn't like that I got repeated emails before arriving, hassling me to check in online, which I find a bind to do on my phone. I did realise before we got to Bilbao, and it was made very obvious on arrival that there is no visible staff - pin numbers for access, no front desk, keycards left in an envelope for me, and we actually came to accept this. So if thats how they run it, and they provide such comfortable facilities so well situated and looked after (we did see a cleaner) then fine by me! I'll check in online no problem.
