The hotel room was lovely and spacious we were a bit upset at the begining as we thought we were getting twin beds with a sofa bed as we are three sisters. that never happened as they were fully booked out . however the lady of reception was so helpful with extra sheets and duvets so we could share but have separate space on the Super king bed. the coffee maker and kettle was an added bonus , there was 2 tvs on both sides of the room so we could sit and watch etc. we had a balcony space with 2 chairs and a table which was a nice space. Lovely towels and bathroom supplies . the location is amazing just of Gran Via ,lots of shops and Tapas bars in the location, a short walk to underground and main railway station Abando is a great location in the city. we walked everywhere to old town the guggenhem by the river, Gluten free bread was provided at breakfast everyday for one of the party by request and there was plenty of selection available. The Staff were lovely and we enjoyed our break very much.

We were very happy with the Secortel when we got over the room layout.

The location is good and strategic, the room was very spacious and well decorated. The women working in the lobby were also nice.

The cleaning staff was not good at all. First, they didn't change towels and the cleaning of the room was poorly done. It wasn't dirty, but it doesn't correspond to a 4 star hotel. Secondly, the staff responsible for the cleaning opened our room door while we were still there (which is okay, this can happen), but it happened twice in a 30-minute span and the ladies were very rude. They didn't bother to apologize whatsoever. This was very inconvenient.

Central location just steps off the main city artery. Delicious breakfast. Great coffee. Quiet, good air conditioning in the room. The bed was very comfortable. Tiny jewel box of a room, but we did not need more. Bidet. Parking in a city garage just blocks away.

Learning to operate the shower took a little time. A laminated instruction card with pictures would be helpful. The shower was slow to drain, and the way it is designed leaves water on the floor, which can damage the floor and other structures.

This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Lara & Miriam on reception were exceptional. Both girls made us feel so welcome & went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. When you’re so far from home & don’t speak the language, it’s lovely to have someone greet you with a friendly smile & genuinely be interested in your needs - they helped with booking & the language barrier. I highly recommend this hotel, it’s very central, very clean- good breakfast & lovely staff.

Great location very central. Good size rooms. Clean and quiet, haven’t heard any noise from neighbours rooms. Nice shower also has very good hair dryer . Comfy mattress and pillows. Also good air con. Nice staff help is with restaurant bookings.

No complementary coffee/tea in the room, no complementary water on arrival. So you need get out of the room to have your coffee. Coffee/tea available in the lobby, but not in the hours when breakfast served . So you need get out to look for cup of coffee.

We loved our stay at Sercotel Ayala. The room was clean and warm, there was plenty of bedding, and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean and spacious. Staff was very kind and helpful before and during our stay, as well as during check-out. The location is excellent, a short walk from a metro stop and the train station and less than ten minutes walking to get to the old town.

The temperature in the room was sometimes a bit uncomfortable. Even though it was cold out, sometimes it was excessively stuffy. The area can be a bit noisy because it's a shopping area and close to the train station, but the rooms are pretty well insulated for that.

The location is superb. Close to the old town and new town. Side by side of the train station. 1 minute walk to the main shopping street, 8minutes away of Guggenheim. If you would like to enjoy all the aspects of the city, Museum, shopping, gastronomy, everything is at walking distance. The hotel is very new, clean and the reception is very helpful.

I asked for laundry service and reception informed me to leave the plastic bag in my room. However I guess they forgot my request and did not got the bag from my room. Unfortunately I could not use the laundry service.

Location is very central, all easy to reach by foot. Parking also short walk away. Staff was very friendly. Rooms modern and bright.

Their Wifi is blocking certain network services without giving you upfront or during usage a warning about it. I don’t know why network services like icloud.com or Nintendo cloud services need to be blocked. I only found out after Apple support told me that icloud.com is having no issues and on a second device that was connected over 5G i could receive the emails i was waiting for. Then when the kid complained about Nintendo Switch problems I could get a message on the Switch browser. A bit an unpleasant surprise in 2023.

Convenient location and comfortable hotel. Spacious room. Breakfast was excellent. Helpful staff made an effort offered a discount on the pet policy - see below.

The pet policy - we traveled with 2 dogs and chose the hotel because it was pet friendly, but on arrival we were charged a €20 euro per pet per night, which wasn't clear at the time of booking. It isn't obvious to me that a hotel should charge for a pet to stay, just as they don't for young children (many hotels in France don't charge at all), and it didn't seem to make sense that it should be a charge per pet and per night, which can quickly become very expensive. The main issue was that the policy wasn't presented clearly at the time of booking (booking.com). The hotel then made a gesture and charged only one pet fee. Also there's no network in the breakfast room, which is somewhat a blessing!

Location is perfect. Room was large and well furnished. Whole hotel has a fresh and modern look Coffe machine with capsules in the room was well appreciated

Buffet breakfast ok-ish, but a bit boring and in windowless space. Nothing (e.g. an omelette) can be ordered. Not worth the price. Once we had a very quick breakfast because of an early day trip. We decided to wrap each a little piece of bread with ham for the way, but we got scolded by the waiter...that was not allowed! Some of our paper shopping bags were thrown away by cleaning personnel without permission, while they still contained shopping receipts, which caused us troubles when we had to return some stuff to the shop. No parking at the hotel, although there are some parking garages at walking distance
