Close to the old town and to one of the beaches. Pretty hotel, decorated with great panache to a high standard. Simple breakfast was included. The old town is full of good bars and hotels. We found the town quite good vlaue, for example a large coffee was only €2, so was a medium glass of white wine.

It is not close to any parking facitilities so if you are travelling by car you may need to carry bags a long way. The nearest public car park was 0.5 mile away and was both expensive (€18 per day) and so large that we spent about 30 mins trying to pay and get the car out of it.

It is very central in a lovely old building. We were walking the Camino in April and it was what we needed. There is a very good restaurant a few doors down.

Only one (yes one) bathroom despite there being quite a lot of bunks. There were only 3 of us when we stayed and that was fine but it would get very tricky if the place was full.

The hotel was central and everything was comfortable. Breakfast was worth waiting until 8am for, a good start to the day.

Unfortunately it was very noisy- I had the shutters down and windows closed and was wearing earplugs but was woken by street cleaners at 6.40am and by 7am could hear construction noises. The bathroom was very small.

The place was lovely really quirky, fantastic location and we had a washing machine which suited us perfectly. The room was clean and the receptionist was friendly.

The water pipes are a little noisy and you can hear the water system flushing around the building but we soon got use to it. I would still stay again.

We had a very comfortable room and appreciated that the hotel was quiet. We were close to the beach and services in the town. The breakfast was good, although limited, and the service was also good.

Delicious breakfast served with smiles - a great location so close to the old town and a beach. Great fun colours everywhere and a good price. It was very quiet even though, venturing into the streets early on Sunday morning it was clear Castro Urdiales had had a party in the streets. And axelotls at reception! Which is a first.

Allocated incorrect room initially and some difficulty resolving the issue because of language barrier. However this was sorted after a while. Otherwise we had a lovely stay.

Perfect location to visit the city. Very dog friendly. Lovely bedrooms.

Very small breakfast. I was told I was allowed processed cheese or processed ham with my croissant, but not both

They were really decent and let me check in a good few hours early, I had been walking a lot on the Camino and it was a really hot day. They didn’t need to do that, but they were happy to help.
