This is a beautiful little hotel overlooking the city of Blibao, with a family-feel. The staff is really nice and helpful! The room was big, nicely decorated, very comfortable and quiet as it is located in the "countryside" above the city. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Lots of options, everything home-made. Everything was perfect! The hotel is located a close 5min by car from the funicular that takes you into town - it is approx. a 30min walk to get there. If you don't have a car (like me) just keep this in mind :) You can also walk up and down into/from the center which is a bit of a longer walk but you get nice views all the way.

It was my second time in this hotel and again a very nice experience. It is relatively close to the airport, just a short drive. You get a magnificent view over the city. Very quiet place. The hosts are friendly and helpful. It is very clean. The beds are perfect, not too soft, just good. There is a free parking. The breakfast is optional but very tasty and with a lot of choice.

We chose this hotel for easy parking and access to the city for a short visit. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was simple and clean. Plenty of easy parking and a short drive to the fun funicular to the center of town. Breakfast included many options including local pastries, yogurt, boiled egg, sandwiches, fresh fruit. Was perfect for our needs.

Perfect location with expansive views over Bilbao. A short drive to the Funicular and a stroll across the river got us to the Guggenheim. Superb restaurant at the top.

Fabulous location overlooking Bilbao with plenty of parking. Just 3 minutes drive from the funicular (free parking) which runs every 15 mins into the heart of Bilbao. Helpful staff and comfy beds. Good lighting!

More plugs for charging. Good shower but drained slowly and leaked so we got a very wet bathroom floor.

The room was lovely, nicely decorated, comfortable and warm. There is a really excellent buffet breakfast available for 10 euros per person; definitely recommended. We were travelling by car and appreciated the off road parking facilities. The hotel is out of the city centre, but there are buses every hour from outside. There is also the brilliant funicular railway, though that is a 30 minute walk. We very much enjoyed a bottle of their own wine, sitting in the garden on the evening of our arrival!

This is not the fault of the hotel! We had trouble actually finding the hotel, that is most likely because we didn't have any Sat Nav to guide us... Next time..

At first I thought I had made a mistake booking this property. We had been staying in 4 star places on the trip thus far and finding ourselves seemingly isolated from the action made me regret not choosing somewhere downtown. But I had a car and this hotel had parking. The walk to the Cable car station, though quite long, gives you some of the best views of the city. If you download the app you could time your trip to catch the once/hour bus. The staff were all very pleasant and we came back twice from the city by taxi and it was only 10 minutes max for 12 Euro. The hotel really grew on me in the short time we stayed there. It is a 2 star hotel, claims to be nothing more and as such, is excellent. The breakfast is very nice and over the road is a restaurant that is very local, there was one waiter who could help us communicate, but the food was good and it was really very pleasant enjoying lunch out in the garden.

The location. It is a bit isolated but that has its pluses.

Very nice location outside the cit center overlooking Bilbao. Very quiet and away from the noise if the city. But you can reach the city on foot in 30 minutes, less if you use the metro. Once you're down the mountain, you can reach all destinations in Bilbao and the surrounding area easily by bus, metro, ir train. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was also really good.

Not really a downside, if you know the city: Without a car or taxi, you'll need to get up quite some stairs and steel slopes. There is an elevator that can take you part of the way, but for my taste is a bit slow 😉 At times, it was a bit noisy in the hotel, you could hear other guests opening and closing doors, which is a bit annoying at night. However, as it's an old building (but in great shape!) that is also ok for me.

Perfect place to stay in Bilbao. Nice location with superb view on city. Helpful stuff, clean apartment. Definitely will stay in this place in future.

Changed to this rural hotel as opposed to staying in central Bilbao at short notice as we were concerned about parking and travelling with our camper van in Bilbao. Couldn’t have been happier. We booked the ‘house/villa’ which was a bit more expensive than we had anticipated but with our dog the extra room was great. The balcony and gardens overlooked Bilbao. Fantastic photo opportunities. Great garden space for the dog to run. One of the only Hotels that had loads of outside parking space. Great for us!! .

We didn’t want to use our camper van whilst visiting Bilbao. The alternative was a 40 minute walk(easy walk) to the Funicular railway (dog friendly)which was a brilliant alternative but quite exhausting in the heat of the day. However, runs every 15 minutes … the journey takes about 5 minutes (5 euro return ticket).
