This was a quick stopover so we could go to the Guggenheim before travelling on through to France. The pensión was perfectly situated for that. Despite the 40 degree heat, we managed the climb up to the pensión three times during the afternoon/evening - you can meander through blocks of flats to avoid steep slopes and steps. We arrived on a Sunday, but found a bar in a square just a few minutes away for a refreshing drink and some tapas. At the bottom of the short hill by the river, there is another lovely shaded square with tables served by a bar called ‘Haven’. The pensión itself is very clean. Check in on a Sunday is only from 3-4.30pm, but this wasn’t a problem. We could have had garage parking, but we found a space on the street below (there was nowhere to stop right outside the pensión, so had to park up beforehand anyway and decided we might as well stay there). There was a vending machine inside which sold cold drinks and snacks. There was another hot drinks machine, but this wasn’t working, so morning coffee had to wait until we were on the road. The shower was great - and used several times due to the heat. No air con, but the rooms stayed fairly cool with the blind down.

Nice room with private bathroom. Good location in the city - about 10 min from Guggenheim Museum, metro and Artxanda funicular. There was something like a kitchen with microwave, coffee and snack machine.

For us it wasn't value for money - a little bit expensive even though the whole stay was good. Also it would be nice to have fridge or something like that in the kitchen for beverages at least. No AC or a fan at least - there was heavy heat during our stay but we were lucky that our window was obscured by trees and it was normal. For women - would be nice to have a hair dryer

Good value pension close to the Guggenheim. Parking is bookable, €20 per day and secure (within the building) which was convenient. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room is basic but comfortable enough for a night or 2 and it is excellent value for the location. Some noise from the road especially if the window is open so earplugs are useful and maybe a sleep mask as the window is not fully covered by the shutters. It's easy to walk to the old town along the river and it felt very safe. We enjoyed walking over the nearby bridge and having breakfast by the museum.

It was clean and close to the Guggenheim Museum and not too far from all the rest. The cleaning staff was nice 😊

No breakfast, but a really bad coffee machine that also had hot water for tea in a VERY small dose and with a taste of coffee. 1 euro per cup. Fortunately, there was a nice bakery with good coffee nearby (5 min by foot) but we had to find it ourselves. You go down the road in direction of the river and turn left when you are down (parallel street with the river). Nobody informed us about it, but now you know 😉

Beds were very comfortable . The rooms were very clean. We found an easier way to get into to the city via a lift so the hills didnt bother us too much. It wasnt too far to get to the city .

Only downside for me and my friend was that there were two single beds in what is actually a twin bedroom. We knew this as the bed head indicated this and our other 2 friends had a bigger room. Bedroom was a bit tight to manouver around because of this .

The staff was very accommodating. We parked at the hotel (the price is 10 EUR per day), which is extremely convenient if you're traveling by car. The hotel has a vending machine for drinks and hot beverages (everything is charged - even a cup of hot water costs 1 EUR). We had no issues with noise from the surrounding rooms. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was clean (the only dirty spot was the floor under the bed, which we moved).

There is a microwave available in the common area, but it would be useful to have some utensils and/or a glass/cup as well. There was mold in the corner of the room (above the bed).

Was exactly what I expected from booking.com reviews etc….. you show up get your room and are left to your own devices. So close to the Guggenheim and everything else it makes seeing the city easy. I had seen people complain about the hill before booking but it’s not that bad. Plus if you use the elevator at the river you can avoid it completely and actually have to go down stairs to get back to the accommodation.

The rooms were clean and nice, price is unbeatable, and nobody bothered us. A note, the cleaners at the property knock once or twice only before barging in, so be carefully clothed when they knock the first time. The people at the clerk desk speak English!

You have to climb a hill to get there which can be tiring after a whole day out exploring. It’s difficult to access for people with mobility issues due to that, but it’s very close to everything.

The location of the hotel is excellent, it is close to the centre and 7 mins walk to Guggenheim. There is is parking available for 10 eur/night. The hosts are friendly. The room is very clean. The bed is good. Downstairs there is a breakfast room with (paid) coffie and some snaks.

Keep in mind there is no lift. The rooms are quite noisy, a kid somewher next made sure I was not able to sleep

The cleaner had had a problem and it wasn’t ready when we got there but they gave us free coffee and let us hang out in the hostel till it was ready. They were very professional and helpful.

Another big pot in the kitchen would have been helpful. We had to cook in shifts to make enough even though we were only six people.
