The hotel is close to the airport shuttle bus. The receptionist (Unai?) was exceptional in giving us advice on how to spend our 1.5 days in Bilbao. We followed almost all of his suggestions and had a great time. The room is spacious enough. The location in the city, between the Guggenheim and Moyua Plaza, is excellent, making most of the city's highlights reachable within a few minutes' walk. The room had some free coffee, tea and toffees. All in all, for this type of affordable city accommodation, I found it excellent.

There is a lot of disposable plastic used in the shampoo satchets (and no separate body wash). Also, small soap bars which get largely thrown away instead of soap dispensers. Sustainability is the only aspect that the hotel can improve upon.

First impressions weren't good. That is: we got our room early, but it was hot, no airconditioning, very busy and noisy street, funny smell from bathroom. But: we slept well on the comfy beds despite the heat and noise, we discovered a fan on the ceiling, smell disappeared after letting shower and faucet run for a while. Hotel is very well situated for airport bus, staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of good coffee and breakfast options nearby. Guggenheim a few minutes on foot.

Bilbao City Rooms are superbly located for exploring all of the main sites of Bilbao. In addition to its convenience for touring the city, it is on the bus line for the airport as well. Though not large, our room was very satisfactory - comfortable bed, modern bathroom. The staff members were all very friendly and helpful. And there plenty of good options for breakfast in the neighborhood. Finally, we found Bilbao City Rooms to be good value. Our complaints were very minor. Primarily that the toiletries in the bathroom were a bit spartan.

The location is excellent, 3 minutes form the Guggenheim museum and 10 minutes from the streets with the night life of the modern city. The old city center is somehow more far away but this is OK. The room was good enough. Spacious and handy. Some means in order to place the suit cases upon it could be provided as an extra. Cleanliness was good. The reception personnel upon arrival has been excellent in explaining everything about the city and proposing what to see, where to park the car, etc.

Room service can be improved. Coffee bags and additional shampoo / shower gel bags were some times omitted.

The central location was perfect for our less than 24 hours in Bilbao. The room, although compact, was clean, had a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom and was equipped with tea and coffee making facilities and a small bar fridge. Ideally located close to many cafes/bars, public transport and Guggenheim museum. Reception staff were very helpful with great recommendations for highlights to see and places to eat.

Fabulous location, easy walking distance to the Guggenheim Museum and also close to many tapas bars and restaurants. The staff was wonderful--friendly and extremely helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay to visit the Guggenheim and to get a taste of Bilbao.

The staff didn't know about a transportation strike and steered me to take a city bus tour that wasn't running because of the strike. This was a relatively minor inconvenience, but the staff probably should have known about the strike.

2 blocks from first stop of bus from airport (3 euro) 2 blocks in other direction is hi end shopping and great dinning. Very good location. Same add extremely helpful. I left my backpack on the bus. The guy at the desk , didn’t get his name, helped me coordinate getting it back. Between him and the guy who was there servicing the elevator gave great dinning recommendations Also, finally a hotel that discovered a ceiling fan. All of Europe should take note.

The property was located centrally in Bilbao, in a large and clean palazzo. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. They held our luggage as we arrived before check-in; they gave tips on where to go for food and to see the sights. They spoke perfect English. The room was clean and well-appointed with a large bathroom. The beds were comfortable. Great start to our two week vacation in Spain!

Great location in the city - near the Guggenheim and only a couple of minutes walk to the bus stop for the airport bus. The hotel entrance is secure but poor in terms of being attractive. The hotel reception is located on 4th floor which is a simple desk and the rooms are located on the 5th floor. All good when you get to them.

Beautiful clean rooms and the location is honestly the best! So close to the all the popular tourist spots and most importantly the bus stations to the airport and around the city. We were a bit concerned since there wasn't AC but despite a 32 degree heatwave, the fans were amazing and a few minutes with the windows open did wonders. It actually got too cold that we had to turn the fan off. Reception was also amazingly helpful as well. They help keep our luggage and helped print off our bus tickets. Many thanks again and we will be back!
