Beautiful rustic hotel. Large secure car park. Welcoming lovely lady on reception. She was very helpful and so busy - reception, waitress at lunch and breakfast. Large, spacious suite. Clean and comfortable. Air conditioning. Fridge and coffee machine. First class lunch. Amazing food and an extra small course from the chef. Had a lovely walk into small village with 2 bakeries/cafes. Would definitely like to stay again.

Whirlpool bath not working. One of the air conditioning units made an intermittent loud noise. Drain was smelly in shower. But did not detract from a great stay.

Balcony room overlooking the courtyard garden. The location was ideal for a stopover from Santander and free parking on site. Restaurant on site and bar. Not open Sunday night. The B&B price was reasonable and included breakfast. The room was extremely spacious with a huge bed & Large bathroom. Very quiet. Air con worked well Diner in restaurant the food was very good indeed. Drinks reasonably price Courtyard lovely to having a pre-dinner drinks.

The bed was a little firm but I understand this is just a preference. The breakfast choice wasn't to our taste and the morning coffee from the machine wasn't really to our taste either. Diner at 8.30pm it's a little late for us although we knew the time just ensure you eat some lunch ahead of your stay. Dog barking nearby when in the courtyard having pre-dinner drinks.

Picked a suite, and this was very well appointed. The bed was King Size and very comfy. The food in the restaurant is excellent, with a small menu and portions that offer quality over quantity and is reasonably priced. Breakfast was typical continental, but had a good choice of cold meats, bread, yoghurts, etc, so everything you need. There's plenty of comfy outside seating, should you wish to have a drink and soak up the sun, although the bar is just that, although there may be some seating inside, but we have never seen any other than for the restaurant. There are 4 EV Chargers, which is very reasonable, but you need the Iberdrola app and register, which is very problematic, so I would do this well in advance of your stay. Note: These are not contactless. The car park is very large and secure within the grounds, which, if, like us, you are travelling with your car full, it's perfect knowing that everything is safe.

The restaurant is open to the public and the evening service did not at the time we went start until 8:30PM, which for us was a little too late, but in summer the opening times may be different. Appetisers and bread that were put on the table by the waitress whilst in the restaurant are chargeable, so please take note that for 2 people, this came to 18 Euros.....

Location and general look of the building was beautiful. Very clean and great space in the Suite for the two of us. Ate in the restaurant and food was very good. Breakfast in the morning was adequate. Felt comfortable parking our motorcycle outside in the car park.

Walls very thin and you could hear the conversation the couple were having next door. Fridge unplugged on arrival so not having somewhere to put drinks quickly was a disappointment. No written information about times of meals or WiFi given. Yes you can ask but would be easier for translation purposes if given on check in.

This is a gorgeous hotel, and our room was very nice. It's a classic old stone building, but it is surrounded by structures with modern architecture. There is not much in the closest village, so we opted to eat at the hotel's elegant restaurant. Our meal cost more than the room, but it was a special treat for us. We stayed here while walking the Camino. The breakfast options were good.

Our room was right above the terrace, so we needed to keep our windows closed to avoid being seen and hearing the noise.

Breakfast could be better

Beautiful old place, easy to reach on the way to Santander. Sympathetically modernised, it would be a wonderful wedding venue. The room had been carefully modernised while emphasising original features. The restaurant looked great but we hadn't booked so didn't try it.

Continental breakfast options were good but no hot options. It would have been nice to have a fridge & kettle in the room, but given its reputation for a great restaurant I can see why it doesn't have them.

We had an evening meal at the restaurant. Although the food was excellent and very well cooked and tasty, it was what we call a designer meal. It was well presented & looked good on the plate but not much of it. It was quite expensive for what it was and therefore, in our view, not good value for money. Breakfasts were very good with plenty of choice of cereals, meats, hams, cheeses, lovely bread etc. and coffee

When we arrived, we were unable to park our vehicle as the car park was completely full. We learnt later that this was due to two large local groups enjoying a meal at the Restaurant. The manager was very helpful and told us to park in front of an already parked car and that he would inform us when we needed to move our car in order to let the owner of the parked car out. This we did and although it was an inconvenience, it really wasn't a problem and it was no fault of the Hotel too. Obviously, the Restaurant is very popular indeed.

Our fourth stay and every bit as good as before. We stayed in an attic suite, most comfortable, with an excellent bathroom and served by a lift. Supper in the restaurant was very good, our waitress Elena most accomplished and welcoming so too the other waiting staff whose names we neglected to ask! The delicious buffet breakfast was full of choice and well presented, the waitress excellent. Private parking is alongside the hotel. The hotel is easy to find, offers ample parking alongside and is just 20 minutes from the ferry port at Santander.

It's a stunning historic building, great parking, spacious spotlessly clean room, the restaurant area is beautiful, shame it wasn't open in the evening, but it is very low season. There was a super spread for breakfast in the morning served in the restaurant. Very close to the airport for the next day, but lovely quiet rural location. Staff were very welcoming & helpful.

The bathroom & particularly the bath was a bit tired, but for the money I cannot complain.
