The layout of the room was amazing and tastefull, big bathroom, not to close to the bed, which is good for a bit privacy. Although i can imagine for elderly people it is a bit hard to get in and out of the bath. The tiles and edges getting a bit dirty and old. Deep cleaning would do wonders. Location is very good, only two stops from Gare de L'est. Amazing restaurants in the neighbourhood, staff is friendly. Overall clean and spacious. Would definitely come again.

Bed and matrasses move around when you want to sit on the bed to watch tv. That's was annoying, needed to getup everytime to push it back against the wall. Some tiles and edges in the bathroom could be cleaner or use a new layer of kit. But again overall good room.

Wonderful, helpful staff who were friendly throughout my stay. Location is great, far enough from Gare du Nord that it’s not sketchy but still within 10min walk to station. Metro stops close by. Galleries Lafayette 15min walk opposite direction, overall one of my favourite neighbours I’ve stayed in Paris (less touristy). Room/ bathroom was spacious, modern and very clean. I will definitely be booking Hotel Montholon when I return to Paris.

Only reason I didn’t rate this accomodation 10/10 was that the room lacked a little soundproofing to noise directly outside the door (other guests coming and going). Not a huge worry as only a couple of rooms on each floor.

Clean, quiet, in a decent area, friendly and helpful staff. Room was decorated nicely and was clean.

I was surprised at the small size of the room, I know most places in Paris are small but from the photos of the hotel to go from, I expected bigger and with a sort of separate area for my son to sleep. Instead we were all on top of each other. Room was still lovely overall.

1. location is absolutely perfect (several min to the subway, or just walk 20 min to the Opera Garnier). 2. very clean apartment with the stunning view 3. the staff of the hotel is very helpful and nice

No AC, problem with the sink in the bathroom, water was just stuck there for 20-30 min every time you use the sink

Location is excellent. It is close to the metro stations and there are many good restaurants around within 10 min walk.

- the wall is a bit thin (probably typical for this price in center area of Paris) - the bathroom design makes water easily stay on the floor

Really great location, short walk from gare du Nord with plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

Wonderful stay! We celebrated our birthdays and got a room upgrade and chocolates from the lovely man in the reception. We got to the hotel very early and he insisted we wait 30 minutes and gave us the great room that we got :)

The room wasn't the cleanest we've seen, but it wasn't too bad.

Location: Montholon Square itself has a great variety of trees including the remarkable 'Maidenhair tree' (little changed since the Jurassic, and the only living thing to have survived within a mile of the Hiroshima A-bomb blast). Also, the steps from rue Pierre Semard up to rue Bellefond passing over it have bags of atmospheric Parisian charm. The ground floor breakfast room looks out onto these features.

The room itself needed better lighting and the fan struggled to keep it cool enough for July. However, it was an interesting design that showed innovative use of wood and mirrors.

The location was excellent, just 5 minutes walk from Gare du Nord, right in the centre, and was a bus stop right at the front door. The room was super comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay again when back in Paris.
