Upon arrival, the room exceeded my expectations that I had after reading the reviews. Everything (at least for my room 42) was not that bad. I would say, considering the overall situation with Paris hotels, this hotel is good value for money. The price is decent. The location is very good - safe, close to metro, close to the city center, lots of cafes and shops around. The staff was nice for me. You cannot check in after 00:00, but after you've checked in, you receive the key to the entrance door and can come at any time. The bed was OK. The linen and towels fresh and clean. They are not changed every day, but for a short stay it is fine. There is a table with a lamp, a chair and a small wardrobe where you can hang your clothes. There is a set of soap and shampoo in the bathroom. So, recommended for a short stay to those who can't afford 4-5 star hotels in the center of Paris, who want a separate room with a bathroom and who want to want to stay inside Paris and use a regular metro or walk around. I stayed at Hotel Du Roi René for three nights, and my experience fully met my expectations. All the listed amenities were available, the room was clean and cozy, and the staff was kind and attentive. Additionally, the hotel is in a strategic location, in a quiet and safe area

The only suggestion for improvement is a slight odor in the lobby. Other than that, I highly recommend it!

View from the top floor room was amazing, would definitely recommend booking room 60 or 61 if you have more of a budget or on a short stay default well worth it. Staff were so nice and helpful.

Wish there was a kettle with tea and coffee and definitely needed wifi couldn’t get service while inside. More pillows and a thicker blanket needed

The lift if fantastic for thrill seekers, the breakfast is perfect for anorexic children. In all seriousness this is a great hotel that is conveniently located to see the sights and eat lovely food. Staff were very friendly but we wouldn’t bother with the breakfast as it was only a piece of bread and a coffee. I highly recommend the hotel if you’re looking for a nice clean place on a budget.

The reviews made me nervous about my staying in this hotel, to be surprised that everything went well . The location is perfect next to bus and metro line. The room was clean and the staff were super friendly. I think for a few days staying it is more than perfect

My only negative point was the Internet, they didn't have it but for me I have my own so it was not a big deal for me

Amazing location, there are some nice bars and cafes with good coffee (f.e. Dose). It is near blue and purple metro line stations. Also you can find two amazing parks just next to the hotel. There is a small supermarket 7 min walk from the hotel (fanprix). I would that it’s a quite area (with bell ringing during few minutes in the morning). The room and bathroom are clean and light. Soap and shampoo are provided. There is an elevator in the hotel, however it’s quite small one. Hotel stuff is friendly and works almost all day long (from 10 am till 12 pm). English skills are not the highest but enough to understand each other. Thank you for their help.

We weren’t really satisfied when discovered that city tax is 5 euro per person for 1 day instead 1.50 euro as it is written on the Booking.com app. Beds are to soft so you sleep in the middle like in a cradle. If you are not used to it it’s hard to have a good sleep. Moreover, there is no AC in the room so it’s stuffy during hot days/nights. (It was 30 outside when we were staying there so we had these difficulties).

Loved the location. I had everything I needed from the hotel and the staff were friendly and courteous. I loved the security of being able to return to my room to relax. I also loved the park which was very close.

It was hot and I had to keep the window open. I come from a very quiet place and the sounds of people and vehicles in the neighborhood was a bit hard. It was part of the experience though and part if the environment.

Room is not very spacious, but it is clean. Rooms were cleaned on daily basis. Bed / mattress could have been better. Price is on a higher side but given that the location is close to the town it is justifiable. Staff is very friendly and helpful, there are many shops / restaurants in the vicinity.

The location near the metro was great. Staff were nice. Breakfast was an absolute rip-off - my advice: go to a cafe!

The breakfast should’ve been much bigger considering the price.
