I have to say that the customer service provided by the hotel staff was excellent. We felt very welcomed! This was a first trip for my parents to Europe and I chose this hotel because of its convenience. I’ve read the reviews on the site of a particular friendly lady staff and I too got that service. Caroline was that lady form those an agreeably she was exceptional! Super friendly and kind and above all, provides an excellent service with a smile! Hotel staff work long hours and not once did she show any of that. Please give this kind person a bonus! Hopefully she gets to read the reviews as good service should be recognised. She went above and beyond. It really adds to an travellers experience.The other staff we encountered were equally friendly. A* for customer service. The hotel itself was a short 8 min walk from Gare du Nord. It’s better to walk than to take a taxi in my opinion. It’s a short walk from Poissonnière metro station. Also a 15 min walk from Montemarte Cathedral. A good location for local spots The hotel is located amongst other pre franchise hotels in a quiet road. The rooms itself was good but nothing of wow standard. I’ve stayed in a few Paris hotel previously and for a Paris hotel room, this one was slightly bigger than the norm and definitely bigger than ones I’ve stayed in previously. It’s not huge nor is it tiny. It was ok for us as we was in and out of the hotel a lot of the time. Similar to other reviews, the sound proofing of the rooms is rather bad and something for the hotel to consider adding. The decor of the room is of quaint taste but would need future updating.

The front of house staff were really polite and helpful. The room was spacious and very clean. Great location, close to Poissonière station and a stone’s throw from the Gare du Nord.

Like a lot of old properties in Paris, the walls are very thin (which the hotel probably can’t do very much about). Be prepared to hear everything from the rooms beside and above/below you. If you’re travelling in a large group or with a lot of luggage, be aware that the lift is very small (it fits 1 person with barely any luggage). Although this is common to many Paris hotels 😉 I would suggest that the hotel replaces the shower screens - it only covers half of the opening to the shower, so the floor gets flooded with water unless you use all your towels to soak it up.

I was delighted with this hotel. The rooms were much bigger than we expected, very spacious and perfectly clean. The beds were very comfy, the showers were hot, and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel was located in a lovely area, with typical balconies and balustrades on the surrounding Parisian buildings. The hotel was convenient to the Metro and it was quick and easy to get into central Paris. There was a pleasant lounge to sit in, and the staff couldn't have been more kind and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is well located within walking distance of Gare du Nord train station, and metro station. Room was well appointed and beds were very comfortable. The continental breakfast was excellent value. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They gladly allowed us to leave our cases securely stored , which gave us the opportunity to fully enjoy our last day in Paris. Overall the hotel is perfect for visitors arriving by Eurostar, who wish to be central to a range of restaurants and public transport. Highly recommended

Walking distance (approx 10mins) from the Eurostar train station, and only 5 mins walk to the metro to get to the city center or 12euros using uber. Hotel is located in a quiet street and several other hotels nearby. Rooms are a nice size, cosy and clean, bed is comfortable and bathroom is huge for Paris. I arrived early and receptionist let me check in early. I requested for a room on 1st floor due to knee problems and the hotel staff was accommodating, so I am grateful. Staff told me that the hotel will be renovating the rooms soon to give it a more modern look eg. replacing the carpets with wooden flooring. Overall a very pleasant stay and value for money and I will be back.

Street quiet with very little traffic. Bedroom very quiet overlooking courtyard and unexpectedly spacious. Kettle with tea/coffee in room. Staff very helpful and supplied plug when ours didn't work.

Breakfast good but could have more variety. A bit hard to find-- beware there are several hotels `du Pre' close together, make sure you go to the right one. (They are all in the same chain so will help you find the others, just saves time to go to the one you booked first.)

i liked how close the location was! you literally walk right down the road and turn left and you are super close to the subway stations, the street is quiet and the room was surprisingly spacious. we were able to have 3 single beds in our room and really enjoyed the location!

the decor was slightly dated and the tv was tiny but we spent most of our time exploring, the bathroom is also far from soundproof and leaked slightly but nothing i would complain about!

The only thing that was a slight problem was the lift. It is very small, but we could both fit in, however it some times did not want to carry us up to 5th floor together, so we had to ascend separately, it was always OK on the way down. Only a very slight inconvenience. Their was a bit of sound from adjacent room, but not really a problem,

Very clean and confortable, close to some metro stations with direct access to city center. Room recently re-painted (it smelled of fresh paint) and everything inside was new and clean. Nice and safe neighbourhood, with many cafés and restaurants. Friendly helpful staff.

The lack of a minibar in the room. Breakfast was good but with no great diversity (no eggs, no vegetables, just only 1 type of pastry/croissant). Didn't like the fact that we were not offered a basic breakfast to go on the last day (early check-out) although it was paid for. It was a little bit noisy in some nights but this is the clients' fault.

Good location in a relatively quiet neighbourhood with good access to dining and Metro. It was an easy walk to explore Montmartre on our own during the Paris Marathon.

The elevator only had room and capacity for one person plus luggage. Daily trips up and down the stairs were challenging due to a couple of damaged stair treads and limited space on the fourth floor landing which was partially blocked with a cart.
