I was surprised by the quality of the hotel. Clearly had a refurbishment in recent years and has been kept in nice condition. Lovely big shower

1. No where to put shower gel in shower other than on the floor. 2. Fire Alarm at 5.45am 3. The green light in the room. Maybe some kind of emergency feature 🤔 but it was bright, like sleeping next to a traffic light. They've spent a lot of money on lovely backed curtains to keep the light out. Only to have the darkness spoilt by the annoying little LED.

Well appointed. Nice room. Very comfortable bed. Huge TV. The food, however, was its jewel in the crown - by this I mean Indian food on the menu for which, as I understand, the hotel is renowned. It was sublime and so imaginative in its creation and flavour. I have not enjoyed an Indian meal so much in a long time. If only I lived closer, I would eat there regularly.

The restaurant felt a little impersonal with one big space containing bench seating with tables and chairs surrounding a central bar area. However, if it is good enough for foreign royalty to eat there then there is no great issue. The shower over the bath was pretty basic and not what I am used to in a hotel bedroom.

On arrival, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel inside and out was clean and beautiful. My room was just excellent, I had all I needed, so so comfortable and so clean! ALL... staff were so friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to engage with. The hotel was beautifully decorated, and the food was AMAZING!! I've already recommended it to family and friends, and I would definitely be back just to chill out and relax. I think the only con would be that I loved it so much its a shame I could not bring my daughter (15) us to have a chilled stay together, with me and my mom, because the pool area is over 18s only so unfortunately it would be a one off treat for just me. Otherwise, I would book again in a hearbeat.

The building and overall look of the place were very nice. The superior room was ideal for my partner, our 15-year-old, and me — comfortable, clean, and a good size for the three of us. Breakfast was great, with a good variety, and they were accommodating with my gluten-free diet, which I really appreciated. We had a very pleasant stay and would definitely consider coming back.

The pool was quite small. I went during a non-peak time, which was fine, but it could feel overcrowded if it were busier. There was a wedding on the Saturday night we stayed. It didn’t affect us, but it made the place feel a bit busier — something to keep in mind if you’re looking for a quiet stay.

The Spa hotel in a quiet location out of city centre. Staff are very friendly especially Amit at reception always welcoming with a smile and very helpful. The lovely Katie on breakfast each morning was always welcoming, friendly & polite. Sherrel on evening dinner was also professional warm and friendly even though a busy evening she was always polite in her approach. Room service I can’t fault all the staff made sure we were topped up with essentials and our free drink vouchers we didn’t expect, that was a nice touch. Pat who helped us with our room change when it was ready.

Disappointed Spa wasn’t working for the whole week we were there until the last day we were due to leave. Had to ask to change rooms as there was a faulty fire exit door that kept banging as guest went through and as a high volume of traffic was passing every minute which was a very busy and noisy floor! Guests didn’t care who they disturbed,we asked to change rooms and lovely gentleman Amit changed our room which was alot better and quieter. Many thanks Amit!

Room was lovely, there was Indian celebrations on the evening and next morning, great atmosphere and luckily loud music doesn't bother us as it was very loud. Pool was very refreshing and the ceiling decor was lovely. Shame there isnt a jacuzzi anymore. WiFi and tv all worked perfectly. Bed was lovely and big, 2 single beds together, clean bedding. Air conditioning was perfect in the room as it was 31°c outside. Patio area was lovely with bushes for privacy.

It was my birthday whilst I was there and my husband asked if a little card could be left in the room for me, the hotel said yes but it didnt happen. Some people from the celebrations were rude pushing in front of us whilst we was walking together, no manners when we held the door open for them. Toilet seat was broken.

The bedroom was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The wifi was excellent. All the staff I encountered were helpful and informative. I liked the quiet dining room at breakfast. With nice seating areas and friendly staff who were extremely helpful in getting me some natural yoghurt when I enquired. There was an extensive array of herbal teas, which I particularly liked.

The shower in my room had a small hole in the wall, and the conversion from bath to shower was not easy to use. The pool is a little small to have a good swim in. The lighting in the room was too bright as I could not get any of the side lights to work.

Review Was greeted for a 3 night stay by a grumpy somewhat perturbed Receptionist so a poor first impression. My first evening meal was ok but a very fatty Rump steak but great soup and 2 warm rolls to start. Many staff in the bar but sadly not very attentive, far too much huddling. Room was nicely warm on arrival. I counted them, over 70% of the lighting in the car park/entrance area weren’t working, management do the detail, it matters. In the room I’m not a fan of the tea, coffee, milk etc being on the floor. Good heat/air con in the room, easily controllable and instant. Bathroom light mirror didn’t work snd shower capping missing, management details matter. 2nd evening meal, great attentive staff, great Chicken Wings and a great spicy curry. Overhead shower head in my room was poor as many outlets in the shower head were blocked so needed to dance around the water flow. For some reason my hand soap was taken away, made a request from reception for a replacement and it was hand delivered to my room within minutes. The hanging chicken evening meal is great drama and just so lush. Great warmed towel after every evening meal is a nice touch, loved it.

I booked this for my Grandad who was in Wolverhampton to visit my Nan in hospital- he had a horrible experience at Premier Inn, very unhelpful staff (issue with booking system IT which was unavoidable but what was avoidable was the unhelpful, uncaring approach from their team, who left an 80 year old in a new city without any advice on alternative places to stay etc), so I found him this hotel and he said everyone was very lovely with him, couldn’t have been a more different experience, thank you very much (as a side note was also cheaper then Premier Inn!)

The rooms I stayed in (especially room 202) were very nice and well appointed. The location is pleasantly quiet, although it is a bit remote from any other local amenities; this is not a criticism of course as the hotel can’t be held responsible for that.

Unfortunately I suffered an accident during my stay which necessitated hospital treatment, but this was not in any way caused by the hotel or staff; I was taken ill overnight and fell as result. The staff response was very prompt and supportive, and I am very grateful to them.
