The staff were excellent. They were very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast every morning was a buffet. The selection was not bad, and the dining staff always asked if I wanted an omelet or more juice or more coffee. Cleaning staff were prompt. Sometimes, our room was cleaned while we were eating breakfast, which was convenient. We used the hotel's airport shuttle both ways.

Our room had a bedroom and a living room. The sofa in the living room could have been a little more comfortable.

The staff, from manager on down, are what really make this hotel a pleasant place to stay. That said, many aspects of the hotel itself are in need of maintenance and/or refurbishing. Breakfast each morning was excellent and varied, outstanding coffee, and the room service was quite good. I appreciated the free airport shuttle.

As mentioned above, many areas of the hotel - mostly minor - need attention. I was upgraded to a nicer room (after my first room had “challenges“) and the price was very affordable…so all in all, you get what you pay for.

It way my first trip to Addis, where I discovered amazing people, always smiling to anyone. Lobelia hotel team was extremely kind and helpful. Room service and restaurant was excellent. The best part is that the hotel provides a tour guide; Mr. "Fish". What an amazing person, kind and very helpful. He make me discover the city : museum, history, gastronomie and a lot of places I did never expect. Thank you very much for every one I met in there, AMAZING!

The location was very close to the airport, and all other interesting locations. The pick up and drop off organised by the hotel was super thoughtfull and driver Tafari was very welcoming and professional Through the various tours, Tour guide Abayu also provided by the hotel kept us entertained with his vast knowledge of Ethiopian culture and sites.Would recommend Hotel Lobelia and Abayu to anyone planning to visit Addis and the vast Ethopia

The hotel is warm, as is the staff. They offer free pickup from the airport, which is also nearby, so if you arrive at night, you'll be at the hotel soon. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, as well as quiet, as the hotel is located on a back street with no traffic. The staff is the best. They are attentive and very pleasant, helping you with whatever you need.

The stuff was amazing the free breakfast with the fresh omelette ooh. I am all hot fresh food. Freshly juiced drinks. The hotel is not new but the house keeping ladies doing great job, on top of that the free van to the airport is very convenient and straight forward. I want to give special thanks the young girl on the reception who give me good information when I needed to go and visit ics

All people are not same but overall great people that is what counts thank you all.

Hotel Lobelia in Addis Ababa is the real place to start a travel in Ethiopia. The hotel staff is very lovely and provides you a very warm welcome. After a little rest, my travel mate and me started to think about our possibilities of doings for the coming 12 days. Then we just met Abay, a very experienced and friendly tour guide, and we had fixed our journey in minutes only. He proposed us a very reasonable tour around this beautiful country. Thanks to everyone of Lobelia and especially a big thank to our friends Abay and Mulu for the organization and as well their company in our incredible trip.

Great hotel! The service and the staff is wonderful. The airport shuttle worked without problems. The shower was amazing. We stayed for one night and came back three nights later for another layover in Addis. We could leave our luggage at the hotel for these days. On our first night we forgot some cash in the room and they returned it to us when we came back. Also we tried the room service for the first time in our life. Would go back to Lobelia anytime.

We had a lot of luggage and the room was too small to open all 4 suitcases at the same time. But I think that is normal..

The wifi absolutely did not work and the staff at the reception were either helpless or could not care less. They assured me that I had the correct password when I would show that the password was incorrect. When connected to a network there was simply no internet.

From the warm greeting upon arrival to the spacious and clean room, every detail was perfect. The delicious breakfast options were thoroughly enjoyed. The hotel's location is convenient for transportation and in close proximity to numerous attractions, making it an ideal choice for exploring the area.Overall, my experience was exceptional, and I look forward to returning.

The power outage posed a slight inconvenience, which was the only aspect I didn't particularly enjoy.
