Renovated extremely well. Very beautiful old building now in excellent condition. Good beds, new matresses, clean and stylish bathroom, Excellent staff, smiling, greeting and giving an exceptional service. Coffee pot delivered to our breakfast table in 10 seconds after we sat down! Breakfast was also very good.

Very limited parking for non-electric cars. Noticed the next morning that some of the charging spots allowed also non-electric cars but that was too late. The opening hours of the bistro we somewhat unclear. Would have been nice if there would have been some snacks available after the concert (when all the nearby restaurants had all closed their kitchens).

Great hotel with nice facilities, unique. Perfect location also with kids as there is a huge playground very close by and the hotel restaurant has nice kids menu.

The only minus thing for us was moving with a stroller and we where advised to use the restaurant door downstairs to move up and down as main lobby only has stairs. (several) However the restaurant was not open all the time so it was quite inconvenient first go and ask someone to open the door from reception and only then be able to access the hotel.

Very quiet, warm room with a superb bed and cushions. I had a really good sleep there. Having lived in Tampere in the past, I always wondered what it would be like to stay here as a guest. Now, I finally got the chance, and it was a pretty nice experience. The staff members were really welcoming, and the hotel ambiance is charming. We loved our breakfast, with a good variety even for vegetarians. All in all, a good impression, would love to stay here again. Cute views :)

I would say that the price was rather high, at least during the time we were staying. Perhaps it's becoming a norm everywhere. Tampere seemed to be a rather expensive city accommodation-wise. Anyways, if you're considering staying in more affordable apartment hotel nearby, I would advise against it. This hotel offers a much higher quality of sleep and comfort, making your visit more special. You won't regret spending a bit more here.

On our stay we were able to have a breakfast / brunch 06:30 till 1:30 on Saturday and Sunday .The restaurant was closed due to corporate function in the evenings during our stay but we found good local restaurants walking distance from the hotel.

We couldn't find anything we were really concerned about ,the staff were friendly and we were able to book a return taxi to the airport with no problems through the hotel .The food we had at breakfast was good and and vegan options were good. The only delay we had was that the aircraft was late arriving at Tampere from Standsted due to deicing delays so getting a taxi was a waiting game but we got to the hotel in the end.

Breakfast should have been much better at this price level hotel! It was nice to get own coffee pot to the table, restaurant room historic and nice. But the scrambled eggs were gummy like in cheap hotels, bacons were a cooked in piles and that's how those were served (not fired as bacons should be). Cheeses; two options, cheap ones. Greens and fruits; not so many options, fruits, where ? The whole presentation was 'sloppy' like in cheap hotels. You could go and experience the Hotel Seurahuone in Turku for their breakfast and learn.

The historic building of the hotel brings amazing atmospfere of early 20th century. Hotel is well furnished and you feel like be a part of this era. Their service is exceptionable, rooms are very comfortable and clean with very nice bathroom. Delicious breakfast is served.

Only one hot drink is available for a breakfast. I ordered black tea and I wanted a coffee as well and I had to pay extra. In such hotel, both options should be included in a breakfast. This is common in all hotels of such level.

Very nice and classic old historical hotel with a great atmosphrere. The location is excellent. Staff was very professional, except at the breakfast. The room has a nice bed, and soft Joutsen down-pillows.

Room was on the third floor, right above a busy street. Room on the other side of the hotel might be better. The room was too hot, radiator was going almost red. We are big fans of hotel breakfasts and always looking forward to the mornings. Our visit was during christmas season, and the staff began to prepare the seasons lunch before breakfast was over. Lot of noise and shouting of instructions to the staff, ond overall mayhem. The breakfast should be nice and quiet, it is a big part of the experience

Wonderful historical setting; not just the history of the hotel itself and it’s wonderfully preserved period decor, but the physical setting of the hotel alongside the rapids that made Tampere into such a key city. It was a great stay in a great city. We loved it!

The breakfast in that amazing dining room was superb, but could we have some ‘riisipiirakkas’ next time ?!

I wouldn't go so far as to say I positively did not like the present state of things but a slightly larger selection of newspapers to read for breakfast might be a good idea.

Breakfast location and service was good. Rice porridge very tasty.

A beautiful building in a perfect location but more attention needs to be paid on the cleanliness: room dusty, bathroom sink dusty, carpet outside room not vacuumed.
