I really don't write reviews, but felt I meeded to this time. The staff was EXCELLENT!!!!. The lady who checked me in graciously found me a room 2 hours before the 3 pm.check in time. I regret not getting her name, but her service was SUPERB!!! Carolina helped me plan activities and served as my personal concierge. She took her time and explained all I needed to know on getting around Calgary and even called a company on my behalf to book an excursion. I felt very much at home at the Westin. I'm so glad I stood here. I will definitely be coming back and staying here. Thank you all!

The downtown location is perfect for visiting Calgary. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was a good size and comfortable. We had drinks and food from all three of the attached eateries and enjoyed our experiences. But the Keg stood out for us for the personal service and quality of both food and drink.

The pillows were a bit flat and we were confused about the Essence restaurant because it changed location but there were no signs. But these were minor irritations.

The staff were awesome. We stayed for our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Stayed at the same hotel (called Calgary Inn) 50 years ago for our wedding night. The Westin upgraded our room to a beautiful suite, gave us free valet service and paid for our breakfast! They also decorated the suite with a special towel figurines and rose petals.

Room was clean and everything functional. The swimming pool was clean and good to have chairs/tables on the sides. Hotel location is convenient access to many stores and restaurants. Staffs were friendly/professional.

The TV remote was sticky, didn't work well. The treadmill in exercise room was missing the emergency stop latch. I didn't like idea of paying for parking at hotel. Had to wait in line for breakfast, then was charged extra/mandatory tipping 18% for having 6 people.

Location and the friendliness of staff.

Breakfast was a total disaster. Waited for 15 mins to be seated then found there were 16 tables empty waiting to be cleared. Not enough staff to cope. Buffet area a shambles with spilt food everywhere. No white bread, no pastries. Cold food. Worse breakfast we have ever had in a hotel. The following day we ate elsewhere.

We were totally impressed with our beautiful room and how clean it was. We told the front desk it was our anniversary celebration, and they sent a beautiful dessert and note to our room. So kind of them. We then had a lovely dinner at The Keg.

Location - within walking distance of restaurants, parks- comfortable beds

Being hit with over $50 in tourism and marketing fees (levies) after paying close to $600 a night for less then 24 hr stay. Went for a function otherwise I would not have stayed due to cost . I won’t be doing that anytime soon

Excellent location, hotel was clean and suit was spacious for our family of 5. Gym and pool area were very nice with beautiful views. There’s a Starbucks and Keg restaurant in the lobby also which was convenient. of course price seemed pricy however it’s downtown Calgary and was compote other hotels in the area.

The internet speed was extremely slow. The room service dishes were very tasty, but they were served in cardboard boxes with wooden cutlery, which is inappropriate for a 4-star hotel.
