Downtown Medicine Hat. Short walk to restaurants. We needed to make a trip to Medicine Hat and found this accommodation. We were very and pleasantly surprised. The room was a good size, their lower level which accommodated the breakfast area, a lounging area with TV and shuffleboard, another seating area with a small library was well laid out. Free continental breakfast. You could make waffles, toast, enjoy cereal, juice, coffee and muffins (need to be early for muffins). Staff were helpful in giving us maps and directions to nearby restaurants and also helping us coordinate recovery of something we left behind. They are security conscious and it showed in multiple ways. We would definitely stay there again.

When I was told my room was in the basement I was a little scared to be honest. When I walked into room 103 I was pleasantly surprised. I called it the Paris suite on my social media videos.

The coffee canisters were on the counter by the cereal and unlabelled. I watched a guest pour coffee into her cereal twice. She eventually found milk in the fridge that I didn’t even think to look in, until I saw her do that. Which is where I found the water & juice. A sign on the fridge door about the beverages would be helpful. If I followed the instructions for making waffles they would have burned. The waffle iron finally beeped when I had already eaten half my waffle. And there’s no reason to flip it.

The cost for 2 queen bed exceeded our expectations. The mattress seemed alright however it took time to reflate when changing to another position. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast area was good. I am not a breakfast cereal person and missed protein. I do realize that our room cost was on the low side so would not fault the breakfast, I’d go elsewhere for my meal. Also liked the parking close to the hotel and easy access to elevator.

A better mattress , light switch on interior of the bathroom. A better shower curtain.

The breakfast selection was great: fresh waffles, cereal, yogurt, muffins, toast with choice of condiments...fantastic for the budget price of this accommodation. Our room was very clean, with mini fridge, microwave, and many tv channels to choose from. I also enjoyed walking around the downtown area, with many turn-of-the-century brick buildings, and a revitalized vibe.

Atmosphere was tense due to manager yelling at employees.

Off the main drag of the street, the room was quiet, spacious, and comfortable. The bathroom was clean as could be, not a speck of dust or hair to be found. The TV was great entertainment, and I had an amazing sleep.

A more consistent plug by the bedside to plug a phone charger into. Might have just been my chargers power needs, but the plug worked fine for my CPAP.

Very clean, older hotel with great bones, nice older style furniture, and fantastic amenities in breakfast, lounge area. Fairly easy to get to in the downtown core. Can't beat the price.

Location in downtown core is near homeless hangout, made us a little concerned about overnight vehicle security but had no issues and seen no one loitering in their private parking area.

Great value for money. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Despite some previous comments regarding the location, I found it safe and convenient to walk to the pubs and restaurants in the center of Medicine Hat. The breakfast was simple but for the price of the room, having a complimentary breakfast was definitely a plus.

The behavior of one of the employees towards her colleague upon check in made me uncomfortable. Very bossy and unfriendly.

The room was very clean and quiet. The bed was great as was the bathroom. The wifi was excellent. The staff was clean, articulate and accommodating to my needs. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone for a comfortable stay. Very good value for the price.
