Warm welcoming from the front desk. Rooms are super clean and beds are comfortable. Although I was extremely sad to see they painted over the original wood beams, what a shame! Modernizing is ok but not at the expense of charm and character!

Although the staff at the front desk was super friendly and welcoming, the lady at breakfast was taking her job a little too seriously… jumping on people coming in to ask their room number. I guess to make sure people don’t go steal food if they aren’t guests, which I can understand, but I felt quite harassed by her the whole time. She was checking everybody constantly and if you dare leave with a muffin in hand, she would jump at you again. One woman was bringing her husband breakfast at the room and was approached by her, the guest was not happy and told me afterwards how very rude and invasive this employee was. I’m sure there are other ways to make sure people are guests, making everyone feel uncomfortable doesn’t justify it.

The building is rather like some you would find in the UK, the external is rather olde worlde, and the inside is full of historical bits and pieces, adding to its atmosphere. It's location right next to the highway, gives easy access to travel North or South, and there are 2 fuel outlets ( esso and shell) right on top of the property. The Waddling dog has a breakfast restaurant and a bar with restaurant within its walls and both are very good facilities

We visited the onsite bar and restaurant and there was nothing wrong with the service or meal. Unfortunately our visit to the restaurant coincided with the Stanley cup final and the many televisions onsite made it almost impossible to hold a conversation. I know it was probably a one off, but i didn't like it.

Great central location between the Swartz Bay terminal and Victoria. Us and our two dogs were very happy with their pet-friendly facilities. Gave us a huge room in the ground floor. Very clean. The staff at the front desk were super nice during check-in and check-out. Will stay there again and will recommend the hotel to others for sure.

If I have to absolutely nitpick, it would be that there was only one waffle-maker for breakfast. LOL. Would be nice to have another one so guests won't have to wait 3mins for their waffles. Other than that, we were very happy with our experience.

The Old English Tudor style feel of the hotel was what led me to choose this place, and the size of the superior king bed’s room was a big bonus. The size of the room was huge compared to chain hotels/inn. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The breakfast food options were mediocre. The usual egg omelettes with cheese and sausages one day and the next day just two kinds of omelette. They have the Belgian waffle pancake mix that you put into the pancake machine. Muffins and English muffins were also offered. Juice station machine and all day coffee and tea were available.

This is a wonderful little Inn, Steve at the front desk was delightful and efficient, the property has a wonderful old charm about it, and was very clean. Bathroom was updated and equipped well with all the standard amenities. Beds were 10/10 comfortable and rooms had plenty of lighting with updated plugs for all electronics. This place was an unexpected pleasure to stay at before flying out the next morning. Great breakfast included. Would highly recommend!

Loved the quality of the beds, the cleanliness, and the AC. Also loved that we had a choice about getting housekeeping so that we didn't have to worry about someone seeing our mess. And the complimentary breakfast! I chose a hotel close to fast food and a city because my 2 active young adults can't stop eating. We didn't have to use them! What a perfect trip! We'll be back!

I loved the decor and atmosphere. Felt very welcoming and like coming home after visiting local attractions/areas. The breakfast was fantastic! Such a great selection. The pub had the best food! Plus everyone was so kind and friendly. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. Overall, a wonderful place to stay.

The only issue at times, hard to find parking due to popularity of locals coming to the Pub. Other than that, no complaints.

The location being only seven minutes to the airport was awesome as I was traveling alone and nervous about getting to the airport and on time. The complementary breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very helpful and showing me how to use the different equipment. For the price I will certainly didn’t think that it would be that nice of a place. I most certainly will advise my friends and family to stay there when traveling back-and-forth.

The only problem I felt there was poor lighting over the vanity to put on make up.

Staff pleasant and helpful. Nice shower. General ambiance. Elevator to all floors. Ease of access from highway. Integral restaurant and pub. Free breakfast available packages.

Non-slip strips on bottom of the bathtub uncomfortable when taking a bath. Only one easy chair in the King room for two guests.

I was pleasantly surprised by the property .. newly renovated but still has that old English country feeling. Very clean and an exceptional breakfast provided in a large breakfast room that has a fireplace and is assessable during the day to sit and relax.

Didn’t stay long enough ti find anything we didn’t like.
