It is at the central of everything, few steps to the night market, location is very good even though we had problem looking for it when we just arrived. Room is very small but clean and tidy. Breakfast is acceptable . Even we stay near to the lobby, room is sound proof, we didn’t hear anything in the morning. Extra point there is a weighing scale to weight your luggage.

The building look old and there is urine smell while waiting for lift at the 1st floor, that becos the toilet is just beside the lift. The curtain in the room is not blackout, it gets very bright in the morning. The toilet get very wet after a shower as it was a small space. Only 2 hangers are provided to hang clothes and only a wall hock without a cabinet

I think with this hotel (I would describe it as a hotel even though the name has the word hostel in it) you get the best value with the money you pay for. That's why this was my second time staying in 57 Myeongdong Hostel. To my surprise they upgraded my room which was very nice - I don't know if it was because of my revisit but that was highly appreciated. The rooms are not huge but not too small either. They are well designed to give you a lot of space and as I was staying solo the room for me felt very big and spacious. I do like style and the room is definitely somewhere nice to return after long days. Overall, the hotel is very clean and modern and the staff is very kind and attentive. I also think the breakfast is quite okay. The selection is not too large but I think it's nice how they change it every day a little bit so there is some kind of variety. It's nice to have the option to grab something in the morning or if you feel like the breakfast is not enough there are many places downstairs as well. Please note that after eating you will have to do your own dishes which I didn't mind tbh. The biggest reason for rebooking this hotel is the location - it is top notch. It's at the heart of Myeongdong, right next to the subway station, good shopping spots as well as restaurants and cafes and you have CU right downstairs. Even if the hotel is in such a key location, it is located at the end of the Myeongdong shopping streets and on a side road so you don't have to worry about the noise. The location of the hotel makes it so convenient to either go and explore other areas in Seoul or if you quickly need something during the night time you don't have to go too far. I think next time I visit Seoul I should probably try and stay at another area/hotel but I am quite sure I would still book here again as the overall experience for me has been great during both visits now.

Location is superb, near bus/train station, even the airport bus, and to the streets of Myeongdong and other restaurants. Room size is just enough, with view of the city. Bathroom is small, but I kinda expected it from my previous accomodations and has the basic stuff (shower and toilet bowl, shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, soap and towels) so I'm not disappointed. Rooms can be cleaned depending on how many days you'll be staying. Staffs are very helpful. Breakfast is great!! Free and with variations everyday so you won't get bored with it. Elevator is working.

Not really a problem, but the air conditioning system/heating system is centralized. So if they decide to turn on the heater because the other guests are feeling cold, and you on the other hand is not feeling cold, then you have no choice but to bear with the heating system. The only solution is if you open your window and let the weather cool your room.

Absolutely love the location of 57 Myeongdong Hostel. It was so easy to go to different spots from the hostel and there were loads of good food around. Highly recommend Jangsu Galbi which is just across the hostel and Myeongdong Kyo Ja which is around 7mins walk from the hostel. We also enjoyed their breakfast options and is definitelt worth adding to your booking. They were simple but hearty 😊 The staff were very helpful and accommodating too. One thing to note is that the standards rooms only have frosted glass as walls for the bathroom, so it's not really ideal if you're sharing with friends. I'd probably go for the deluxe room on our next stay since I was told that those have proper walls for the bathroom. Aside from the frosted glass bathroom walls, the rooms were quite comfortable. There are luggage spaces below the beds which really helped make the room more comfortable. Slippers, toiletries, and towels are provided too. Overall, great experience and will definitely stay here again. P.S. don't miss out on the rooftop! Pretty amazing view of Namsan tower and the busy streets of Myeongdong. 💜

Prime location at Myeongdong, you pay a little less for smaller room, windows can be opened for outside air, near metro and airport k-bus service, night market is a block away. Slow closing door mechanism installed, so you don't hear your neighbors door slamming. Free water dispenser and mini washers on each floor. Free breakfast with both Korean and Western served, Nice view from selected room and the room I stayed was pretty quiet the whole time. Don't forget to bring $20k KRW cash deposit when check in.

Some hallway flooring was uneven but you will get used it after awhile. Weak bathroom fan, and only one room key card was provided.

The hostel is situated right in the heart of Myeongdong, offering easy access to countless cafes, restaurants, and famous street food stalls. A 7/11 is located right on the corner, and a subway line is nearby, making it extremely convenient for getting around the city. The stay includes breakfast, and there's a comfortable patio on the rooftop where you can relax, eat, or have a drink.

You felt that the rooms were too small for the price. The combined bathroom (shower, sink, and toilet all in one small space) was a bit inconvenient.

Desk is not 24/7, you have to warn staff in advance when you arrive; Breakfast is quite poor; Bathroom is small and has no a dedicated place to shower; There is no wardrobe in the room; Rooms are not sound-proofed; You always have to keep an air conditioning on to keep a room warm enough;

The hostel is very fast in responding to my request when I booked the hotel. The staff topped up the juices during breakfast. Food during breakfast is irrelevant as I brought my own (I'm a Muslim). The receptionists are always ready to answer my queries. Location is perfect. Room is what I paid for albeit small, it's just nice. I guess this hostel has tried to solve all the negative comments before. I anticipated issues mentioned in the reviews but didn't encounter any of those during my stay.. yeayyy!!!!

Nothing, Out of the three accommodations i stayed at in Korea, during my 12 days visit, location-wise, conveniency, easy check in, I'd choose this hostel again, plus, it offers 15% off for your next stay... Keep improving

This is my first time staying in this hostel. Location is excellent; near to the Myeongdong station exit 5 and also close to the main road so it is easy to get a taxi too. I got the deluxe twin room. It is big enough for a solo traveller. What sold me was the beautiful city view from my room. Heating is good during this winter season. It has the basic necessities including a small fridge, a nice tv and hair dryer. Staff at the counter is nice and accomodating as I arrived late at night during check in. I would stay here again when I come to Seoul in the future.

Location is great. Near to subway and near to funicular to nseoul tower too!

The lift. Lift is slow and only one lift can go to the lobby. Not a problem unless u are in rush to go to the airport during ur check out 😆
