Beautiful property, the staff was very attentive and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The morning breakfast was fabulous and we had snacks around the pool which were delicious.

My only complaint is I thought the hotel was missing some life. I would have imagined some live music playing to add to the charm of the place.

The hotel and restaurant staff are very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and offered a nice variety of tasty food. We dined here for breakfast, which was included in our rate, and for one meal in the sports bar. The food is good but not excellent for the price point, so we ate dinner outside of the hotel. I had a great massage at the spa. The property is relaxing over all. It was also very nice that they decorated for Christmas.

The food was tasty but not delicious. The rooms should have complimentary bottled water and extra towels. The tile floors are cold when it's rainy. Slippers and robes should be offered at the price point. Swiss Tours gave us the incorrect start time for our tour. They told us to be downstairs at 6am for a 7:45am tour. Beds are a bit too firm.

The rooms are large and well appointed. The two double beds are really nice and we enjoyed looking at multiple types if birds from our window. Breakfast is nice and the view to the mountains is spectacular. Pool is also very nice, as well as the grounds. Loved the feeling of hacienda, with all the nice touches around

We did not receive any soap in the room, none of the cleaning ladies put it in the room during our stay. They tried to convince us that we had only paid breakfast for 2 people, and we had to pay extra for the kids, and we had to send them the booking reservation with the details in order for them to agree with us (they should have had that from when we made the booking, this took unnecessary time at check in). The restaurants are a bit pricy.

The property is gorgeous and sequestered, like a private luxury. There are several restaurants on the premises and an emphasis on the history of the hacienda. Breakfast was delicious and they had so many options to choose from. Dinner was great as well, but Sandra, our waitress, really added the warmth and charm that made us feel at home. Sandra was absolutely wonderful!

Not that I go to hotels for the TV, it would’ve been nice to have a TV I could stream to.

Spacious and comfortable room, big and very nice territory with a nice open swimming pool and a tennis court. A few restaurants with pretty good food and a bar on site. There is also a business lounge that is a convenient option for those with the access. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The restaurants are a bit overpriced, though the food is very good.

The service at the breakfast buffet restaurant is excellent every single person working there makes you feel welcome, great food.

The check-in service tried to change my reservation to a double single bed room arguing the place was full but I had a reservation idk why he tried, it was until I stated the obvious, that why the hotel let me make the reservation if they don't had the room, etc. they made some calls and found it as expected.

Stayed here on first night in Costa Rica after picking up hire car in nearby Belen depot. Comfy room, lovely gardens and setting. Safe neighbourhood (went for a run locally). Nice pool area too. We had drinks, dinner and breakfast (huge buffet spread) - really well set up, and great for the first night in a new country after a long day of flights to get there.

The building, pool and gardens are beautiful. The room was spacious, clean and the view of the mountains was lovely. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

Check-in is at 4pm. We arrived around 6pm but we couldn't get in to our room for 2 hours due to a system failure. No compensation was offered. A complimentary drink or an offer to have a late check-out would have been nice. The noise and smell from the kitchen extraction fan were not pleasant when we had the doors to the french balcony open.

it is close to the airport. it is beautiful and has many restaurants to choose from. the pool area is clean and has very beautiful gardens. I love the jacuzzi large enough and clean.

Service can be slow when big groups are eating at the restaurants. employees can be too friendly, which makes it annoying. You will pay almost $300 a night with taxes, and it should include breakfast, as it was included in every other hotel we stayed at in Costa Rica. Also, breakfast should not be $25 per person. I believe this is too high for a South American country where tropical fruit is abundant. The airport shuttle leaves every two hours, DO NOT take the taxi at the hotel, which will charge you a lot of money. Uber is available in Costa Rica, and it is much cheaper.

Aesthetically beautiful during the day and especially at night, I loved the layout and the old world charm of the hotel. The hospitality was exemplary. All staff members were friendly and accommodating.

As an international business traveler, I did not like “the upsell” at check-in: “for $30 more per night, I could offer you a room with a better view”. It was off-putting. I would have had a better first impression if I had been offered a complimentary upgrade which is customary in world-class hotels. I was also disappointed that the hotel did not have a restaurant that offered Costa Rican cuisine. I don’t like ordering fish and chicken from a steakhouse. The chicken was way undercooked. The potatoes had no truffle oil as promised on the menu.
