I was looking for a place around downtown and came across this gem. It’s just a 5-minute bike ride from downtown and about 8 minutes to Market Bay super convenient! The place feels like a tropical, historic retreat tucked inside a vibrant area. I used to wake up to the sound of roosters and end my day hanging out at the nearby Bay area. When I arrived, Adrian at the reception desk welcomed me professionally and warmly. He really understood my need for a very quiet room, I'm a light sleeper, and took the time to show me multiple options so I could choose the one that felt right. If you're also a light sleeper, I recommend Room A205 ( rooms are just like pictures) . No AC engine sounds—just peace. The property itself is incredibly beautiful and historical. I love starting my day with yoga and meditation, and this place was the perfect setting—surrounded by greenery and calm. There’s also a bar on site, but it’s not noisy at all, and there’s security at the door, so it felt safe and well-managed. I didn’t get the chance to visit the bar this time, but hopefully next time I will!

I do wish the rooms had water heaters, and it would be amazing if they considered adding a shared kitchenette for Standard Plus visitors. After my morning yoga, I would’ve loved the chance to make my own eggs and tea—it’s those small comforts that really make a stay feel like home.

I loved that there was a balcony for me to chill at as part of my room. That alone would make me want to go back to Miami River Inn. I liked that they gave us plenty of towels for the stay so I never had the problem of having to use damp towels after a shower. I liked how cold the A/C was and sometimes it was a bit intense but the comfy sheets and comforter made it better. I love how hot the water in the shower ran. Ask for Room 504B or a room similar to that one's layout.

I wish the rooms had a refrigerator at least but they are tiny rooms so I don't see a chance for that happening.

This property is a hidden little gem!! The 1900s historical houses are gorgeous with beautiful wooden floors and modern beds, while conserving the antique feel. They offer more affordable rooms in the front of the Inn, but you can still use the pool and bar areas. On site parking. Its quite peaceful even though located in the middle of the city. Loved it!

Surrounding area slightly shady but we felt very safe to be honest. Old rooms need refurbishing but was told this is already in the plans.

Staff was great and friendly. The scenery is cool looking with a good vibe.

The centralized air conditioning hardly reached my room on the third floor. I told the front desk about it, but it seemed like they didn't have anyone to fix the issue, since no one ever came. Luckily, I had my own portable fan to keep me from sweating so much. If you stay, I recommend requesting 2nd or 1st floor, and check the room first.

I had a great stay during my vacation in Miami. The place is surrounded by lush greenery and feels very peaceful. My room was spotless, cozy, and perfect to relax after a day out in the city. The staff was incredibly friendly and always made sure I had everything I needed, including fresh coffee every morning. The location couldn’t be better close to many attractions and easy to get around. Definitely a spot I’d recommend!

The room was always kept at a present temperature, which is very welcome especially in the summer in florida. The room was also clean and housekeeping was offered daily.

The Room was very small overall. There were no power outlets next to the bed or other convenient places. The location is somewhat is about 15 min of walking away from any regular restaurants.

Clean, friendly staff and good location! Everything about the room was great, clean and got an early check in which was great, the AC worked well, and free parking was such a bonus too.

The bathroom didn’t have a door/wasn’t a separate room, it was like a tiled archway. Would prefer this to be listed/shown in pictures as we’d select another room.

I didn’t like how people kept slamming the door. Yall should put up a sign that says, no slamming doors. Kinda abused you have to tell adults that, but, different culture means different levels of respect shown and given yo others. Maybe put up a sign or explain DO NOT slam doors or let doors slam behind you.

The staff were super friendly, kind and helpful.

The pool needs to be better cleaned when I went in there I saw nothing but bees and wasp in the pool had I not seen them in the water I would’ve been stung underneath my foot or my leg so I had to be super cautious when swimming in the pool

I loved feeling secluded in the middle.of downtown Miami. The greenery, the cozy, tropical feel was so relaxing. I loved the outdoor bar and seating area as well!!!

I did not like that there wasn't an individual AC unit in the room, no iron, and no phone to call the front desk.
