The hotel room is quiet, clean, beautiful and renovated. You have everything you need from clothes hangers to towels and a kettle, and it is cleaned everyday (with new bottles of water everyday!) The bed is comfortable and toilets are brand new. The hotel itself is very clean and the staff are nice. The breakfast is basic but good (cheese, eggs, bread, pastries, jam, juice and coffee/tea) The location is great! It is in a very nice and well located lively neighborhood, nice to walk around with many restaurants and cafes, multiple grocery stores and 4 metro lines, and it is very quiet inside the hotel!

The room and elevator are small, which is common in Paris. It would be nice to also have conditioner in the shower, add some vegetables in the breakfest and a small fridge would be great.

The location of the hotel is good! Well connected to the main tourist attraction using the metro. The station was just a 5 min walk away. The facilites were good! Just as shown in pictures! Despite the fact the building is an old one, they have managed to refurbished it in a manner that is comfortable and modern enough for a perfect stay in central Paris! The staff were exceptionally kind!

The lift is tiny. Just two people in it. But it's totally understandable given how old the building is. I guess that was the least of my preoccupations and actually it is quite impressive how they managed to make it accessible!

I was upgraded to a larger room on arrival, which is always a nice surprise, especially when staying several nights. The room was big, with a nice modern bathroom, good pillows. The staff was friendly (especially the lady handling the breakfast) and the breakfast was good.

My room was quiet from the point of view of street noise but I am guessing it was just underneath the general air conditioning engine of the building and there was a permanent humming in the room. It was on the last floor which meant long waiting times for the elevator and also quite cold in the room (it's an old building). The air con was quickly heating the room though.

Our room was delightful and bigger than normal for Paris. The bathroom was spacious and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. There is a lift which is small but efficient. We did not take breakfast but the room it was served in was well laid out as was the small lounge area. Maison Axel is located in a quiet street but it is only a short walk to find a large variety of restaurants bars cafes and shops.

The hotel is excellently located half way between Sacre Coeur and The Louvre, 20 minutes walking distance of each. The area is quiet and cosy while offering a lot of very good options to eat out, open from early morning until late night, for all budgets and preferences. 2 big supermarkets, Franprix and Monop are a few steps away from the hotel. The room is indeed a bit small but that totally makes sense for the area. It has black out curtains, the bathroom is modern and well fitted. It was cleaned every day. The staff were very kind and warm. The kettle in the room was not working properly but instead in the hotel lobby there is a coffee machine accessible for all hotel guests, even for those who did not opt for breakfast. It makes a really good espresso. And what I appreciated most, by far: the hotel has umbrellas that guests can borrow in case it rains. That’s quite frequent for Paris, I have come find :)

The location was excellent and the staff was very helpful particularly since we didn’t speak French.

There was a little bit of noise from the delivery men who congratulated but once they left the street was very quiet. I liked that the hotel was very close to restaurants and easy walking distance to major sites, and yet the small street ensured that no traffic would pass by the hotel.

I think I benefited from my Booking Genius status as I had a duplex family suite on the top floor, with a large balcony (no time to enjoy, I'm afraid, partly due to schedule, partly to weather!) and a bath - very unexpected! There were tea and coffee making facilities and I was able to borrow an iron and mini ironing board. Friendly staff at check-in and check-out. Lots of cafe's and restaurants in close proximity.

There was no TV for the "downstairs" bedroom and I didn't choose to sleep upstairs, nor did I want to mess up the "second" room. The decor looks really dated, although I think it has actually been fairly recently refurbished - it was just a lot of dark, dark browns and hessian wallpaper. Maybe this is back on trend, but it felt quite depressing! The bathroom was lovely and contemporary and very clean. Terrifying Parisian lift!

Great location, we can go around Paris very easily. It is close to Metros and Bus stops. The area around has lots of nice restaurants. Our favorite part of this hotel is the room. My kids love the layout of the room, we have 2 floors in our room and a beautiful terrace. Everyday our room is cleaned super neatly and so clean, thank you so much for the cleaning staff effort. It really made our stay wonderful! The view from our room's terrace is magnificent.

They only have one elevator that could fit only three people inside. It was a little tiring when we need to move our luggage upstair, other occasion it was fine.

Excellent choice & good quality for breakfast, offered over a generous period of time. Comfortable beds with first class pillows & very clean and quiet overlooking the rear courtyard. Staff were helpful and professional with directions and any problems.

The lift is very small so you could wait nearly ten minutes for it to come your way empty at busy times Also - we all have different ideas of what is beautiful but I wasn’t enthusiastic about the decor

After I asked to change the room (first night room was not good), the room is quite nice. Two big windows facing the street. At night it’s very quiet which was so good. The front desk staffs are helpful

The hair dryer is very difficult to use, need to keep pushing one side which made drying my long hair became a hard work. The breakfast could change a little bit every couple days, now is completely same everyday.
