The location was fantastic we could walk to all main attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were two singles travelling together and the room was very clean and comfortable. There was a kettle available to borrow and even a small bar fridge which is unusual in European hotels. it's a very old and quirky hotel within an arcade of shops and cafes. We loved it.

It could be a little stuffy but we were able to open the large windows in the room. We stayed in Autumn but in summer it may be a bit warm as there was no air conditioning.

Quaint and comfortable hotel in one of Paris’s historic passages. The location at the back of the passage provides an exceptionally quiet location so an excellent sleep quality. The rooms are simple but comfortable. Staff are mostly very friendly and helpful and Clarinette, the hotel cat, is the star of the show. The location is close to the metro and loads of nearby bars and restaurants.

This place just had charm by the bucket load. I loved it. The location is superb and the fact that it's in a passageway next to a shop where Toulouse-Lautrec appparently bought his walking sticks just made it for me. And the cat. We loved the cat. And the reception area. The room was clean and comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was good, the hotel itself is characterful in its old-age and charmingly old-fashioned (you get a proper key and the windows open) and they were efficient and helpful when it came to ordering a taxi. The coffee and juice at breakfast were great and the other breakfast products were decent quality. Location-wise it's really handy for the metro and it's surrounded by restaurants. We can highly recommend Friends and Family which is nearby.

This hotel is one of the cheapest I could find in central Paris but it's far from cheap. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing.

The Chopin is a wonderful Paris institution. We first came on our honeymoon in 1979 and it's still lovely. It's not luxury, there are stairs, it's a bit old fashioned but it is brilliant. We must also give a big mention to Esther who sorted several things out for us, and was fabulous. Thanks Esther! Reception is friendly, multilingual and really helpful. The lift/elevator is a godsend!

It's not ideal for people with mobility problems but the lift helps.

Charming, easygoing welcoming and friendly. The hotel cat (called clarinet) is friendly when not sleeping, tucked away in a corner of the staircase. Location is perfect . I liked the trusting nature of the establishment, the guests take breakfast with no checks, a kettle and tea/coffee is available for free beverages all day . It is Quiet at the end of a pedestrian arcade of wonderful shops next to the Musée Grevin.

Tremendous location just off Les Grands Boulevards… Hotel blends in seamlessly with its surrounding shops in the passageway.. Staff were most accommodating when I tried to extend my stay… I shall most definitely return..

Took me awhile to learn how to negotiate the gate in order to return after 9pm.. More my fault than anyone else’s.. Showers could be incredibly small..

This hotel is a very special place. it's quiet and screams fine classical French just how you would imagine I just loved it . The beds were very comfortable, and the shower was very nice. Good water pressure.the staff were very helpful, and the room was cleaned every day, which was amazing as I didn't expect it to be done. very good place to be to for yourself to explore paris nice and close to transport

The charm of the location is one of the best things about the Chopin. At the end of a beautiful ancient Galerie (part of several in the area - felt very historic). Our room was inward facing and exceptionally quiet for Paris. Staff were lovely especially Alicia, the resident cat and Mlle Paulette who was sometimes with her Maman at Reception. One day during our stay there was an electricity problem and no hot water. Staff did everything to get it repaired asap. The area is full of good places to eat and small supermarkets to purchase the odd bit and piece.

Having Maxwell House powdered coffee as the breakfast offering is hard to understand in a city like Paris which loves its coffee. It made us search out another option. A simple thing for the hotel to fix :)

Excellent location, very comfy beds and nice and quiet. Loved ‘Clarinet’ the cat who gave us nightly cuddles in the corridor before we went to bed. Really nice little hotel. Will definitely stay again and look forward to it!

Could’ve been a luggage room downstairs to store oversized and not required for stay luggage. We had snowboards etc which didn’t need to be in the room.

Cute and quaint Parisian experience. Excellent location with restaurants and transport nearby and many central sights within walking distance. Also it is located in a stunning arcade/passageway. The breakfast was very good and at a good price. People all very nice and welcoming.

The rooms, being old, were a tad small for storing bags and moving around etc. It was still and hot when we were there and with no a/c the room didn’t offer the respite you may want. Mind you they provided a fan and most other character places probably do not have a/c. These are minor negatives and way outweighed by positives. Would still recommend.
