The location is great. So easy to walk to a station and Dotonbori. Great breakfast! We could check in early and leave our luggages after check out. The staffs were really nice! Free ramen was really good!

- It could be really smelly (From people’s odor) - The sink was outside the bathroom, if someone use bathroom during bedtime, the light could interrupt another person in the room. - The breakfast waiting time was long. It’s open at 7 am. We arrived around 7:08 am. However we had to wait around 40 mins before we can get in. (it was Sunday morning)

The room was very comfortable with adequate room and excellent beds - a perfect retreat after a day exploring Osaka. The onsen facilities are very good - two natural spring water hot pools, an excellent cold plunge bath and an aromatheraphy infused sauna. These facilities are open about 20 hours a day and provide an excellent source for supreme cleanliness and relaxation - they really are an oasis after a day of traveling around Osaka on scorching summer days and really give an edge of comfort and luxury to a Japan visit. The location was excellent for the needs of my family and I: right in the beating heart of Osaka in Namba/Dotonbori - a paradise of restaurants and shopping and places to have a coffee or a drink in a city alive with colour, light and interest. Also, the hotel was five minutes walk from Nipponbashi rail and subway hub so access to the wonderful Osaka transport system was on its doorstep.

Unavoidably, the room/onsen opened to an alleyway for natural light due to the position it was constructed in - this was no real discomfort and did not affect our enjoyment of the hotel in any real fashion - it was offset by comfort, excellent facilities and small touches such as ice cream and probiotic milks free next to the sauna; free ramen in the restaurant in the evenings, free coffee in the lobby in the mornings: small things that just helped to make the experience feel even more directed toward our comfort.

- Excellent location just around the corner from Kuromon Market - The onsen is a major highlight with two hot baths, a cold plunge and sauna. A real highlight after a day of exploring - The ryokan-style concept adds a traditional and cozy touch - Rooms are spacious, especially compared to typical hotels in Japan - Generous free perks like ice cream, drinks and even late-night ramen

- The hotel attracts a lot of families, and unfortunately, some parents don’t discipline their children (and themselves) leading to noisy and disruptive behavior in the onsen - There’s a designated smoking room, but the smell of smoke seeps into the hallway - While most staff were professional, a few came off as less friendly. It’s understandable, though as they likely deal with a high number of guests— some of whom clearly disregard hotel etiquette and rules

The location is close to the local fish market and Dotonbori as well as the subway station.

The room is a bit small, bit not unusual for a hotel in Japan.

We enjoyed the onsen and the ice-cream that was available for a large part of the day. There was drip coffee and green tea available as part of the room. The breakfast spread was satisfactory. Room was overall comfortable and the tatami flooring made if suitable for the small children to sit around. The location of the hotel was good to explore the vibrancy of Doutonbori.

We had to take out our shoes at the lobby and keep them under lock and key which therefore took us more time every time we headed out of the hotel, especially for a young family with young children. We found a pair of baby pants that did not belong to us, and some food wrappers stuck beneath some bedding. There was also visible dust on some surfaces which indicate it has not been cleaned for a while.

The location is very convenient, walkable to Namba shopping area. The room is comparatively small but we known it before our arrival so that's fine. All essential included. Free snacks (ice cream sticks) and drinks (Yakult and coffee) are provided at specific time and floor. Onsen temperature is good for bath (properly around 40 degree i guess) and the breakfast taste good too.

The public bath cannot afford all the guest and sometime you may need to wait at shower area, luckily that area is not too cold. The three hairdryers in girl's bath, two are very week, difficult to dry hair.

Truly loved this hotel! Had little snacks once arrived in room with water which was great after a hot walk to get there. Staff was wonderful, very helpful, and answered all questions we had. The onsen and yogurt after was such a treat. Great location 10 min walk from Dontonburi and the Kuromon market - with a 711 just downstairs. Would 100% book again in a heartbeat and would recommend to anyone staying in Osaka.

If you are looking for a room with a view this is not a good choice.

I loved everything about this hotel! The location was perfect—central but peaceful, not chaotic or noisy at all. The onsen was amazing and such a relaxing way to end the day. Staff were all lovely and helpful. I also really appreciated the free ramen at night—it was such a cozy touch! The rooms were beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

Other guests using the washing machine but not taking their clothes out on time, which caused long waits.

From check in through to check out everything was amazing. Staff were amazing and so helpful. Location is second to none and being in the heart of bustling Dotonbori during high summer coupled with the start of summer holidays, meant that we could retreat to this oasis and cool down, regain our composure and then head back out into the crowds anytime we wanted.
