The location is perfect, just around the corner from the subway and a short walk to Dotonbori. The staff were really nice and allowed us to leave our bags before and after checking in/out.

I would have loved to give this hostel 10/10 for it's location and value for money but unfortunately on the Saturday night we had a terrible sleep. Because it is such a central location there were constant motorbikes revving their engines and speeding down the road till at least 2am probably longer. This isn't the hostel's fault but the single layer of toughened glass in the room didn't block out the sounds. The communal area is also a little small and one of my favourite things about staying in a hostel is meeting other travellers.

It was comfortable and all amenities were provided. The staff couldn't have been more helpful! I saw reviews stating the room wasn't that big, but the room I stayed in (Room M) was a standard sized single room and had a good amount of space for my duffle bag and two backpacks.

In no way the fault of the guesthouse, but it was incredibly noisy at night. I'm a bit of a deep sleeper, so I was in and out despite the noise, but a lot of really loud revving of vehicles in the early hours of the morning, especially on weekends.

123 Guesthouse is located in a strategic place which is very near to Nippombashi train station, not far from Kuromon Market, Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori. The owner was extremely friendly and allowed us to park our bags in his lobby after checking out. Room is comfortable and neat. Toilets and kitchen are shared but very tidy and clean. Would definitely stay here again if I visit Osaka in the future! Will recommend 123 Guesthouse to relatives and friends who would like to plan a holiday in Osaka.

We really liked the location—it’s super convenient and within walking distance to Namba, Dotonbori, and Shinsaibashi. The price is also very affordable for the area.

The blankets weren’t very comfortable since they were just a comforter with a sheet on one side. Also, the lighting could use more options—having just one switch for all three lights made it hard to adjust the brightness.

Dotonbori Osaka can be a busy and overwhelming experience with tons of tourists. But it is also a wonderful area to explore. This property is right in the heart of Dotonbori and is easy to use as a home base for your explorations. Thusly it was perfect for us.

We had no complaints about this property. The bathrooms and showers are in the public area, so if that is going to be an issue for you. Know that. There is a public kitchen which was great for little things.

I love that location is accessible via exit 5 of Nippombashi station. Staff is accommodating, allowing us to store our luggage during after checkout. They also coordinated our arrival time since our flight got delayed.

For the price, I prefer to stay here than take a dorm type accommodation since we have a private room that is big enough for a standard japanese room. Plus, being near the Metro station is a plus.

The Guesthouse is located near Dotonbori street and the fun parts of Osaka by night, there is a lot of places to eat, drink and party around, and a very large market if you love street food. Still, there is not a lot of noise from the street and the Guesthouse was very quiet.

The room was very very small for two, it was just the size of the bed, fortunately it was just for one night so it was OK for us

The location is splendid to explore Namba Walk, Kurumom Market and other areas near the place. I had a great time enjoying the Chicago Gallery during the stay. The room with no view may be small but rather cozy in a way. Really appreciate Mr Koji's help to get the comics. He may seem to be quiet but he is really hardworking and helpful to a great extent.

I believe there will be constant improvements to make 123 Guesthouse a more comfortable place for longer stay with washing machine available for guests or female only shower rooms or level for women. The noise from the surroundings may not be suitable for light sleepers. Technically I could hear "waterfall" from my room but it did not bother me much though.

I liked the comfort of the room, and the very central location. Checking in and out was very easy as well.

One of the pillows was soft and one was very hard. I understand they are options, but I'd like to have two similar pillows. Also, the soundproofing was not very good. It's a busy area, and even late at night it was often loud outside so it was a bit difficult to sleep.

The location is great! It’s only 10 minutes by foot to Dotonburi and there’s a subway station right next to the Hostel (not included in JR). If you want to wash your clothes, there’s a laundry mart just about 7-10mins away from the hostel. Furthermore, despite it being a hostel all the facilities were very clean and you can use a few utensils as well (no actual kitchen).

The only thing you have to be aware of is that the size of the rooms is really small. I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s something bad, but just something that you might need to know in advance since the rooms look a lot bigger in the pictures online(at least to me). So if you travel with big luggage like we did you just need to manage who gets to open their suitcases first and that’ll do the trick.
