The location is good, close to Mejiro Station on the Yamanote line. There are many restaurants and convenient stores nearby, a drug store (matsumoto kiyoshi) is also right in front of the hotel. It's also easy to take a taxi in front of the hotel, for those who needs it. The area near Mejiro Station is only one station away from Ikebukuro Station and three from Shinjuku Station, but is less crowded, making it a nice place to stay. The hotel building feels a bit old, but still comfortable, especially considering the relatively reasonable price. Check-in and out were smooth and easy, communication through booking.com was also good without being able to speak Japanese.

A small note on the surrounding area: restaurants and cafes around the hotel (not the hotel itself) don't provide much English support compared to more touristy places like Shinjuku and Shibuya. It was not a problem during our stay, but putting it here just in case it's helpful for others.

The staff were all lovely and tried their hardest to meet any needs we had. They made us feel very valued as guests at the hotel and although there was a language barrier, they used other ways of communication such as a hand-held translation device. They were always very polite, welcoming, patient and friendly. The location was so convenient (only a 2 minute walk from Mejiro station) which was perfect after a full day of walking.

The bed was a bit hard and the room we had was a little bit smaller than what we probably needed however we had many belongings with us (3 suitcases and 1 snowboard). The room size would have been more suitable if we had less luggage but just something to consider if you have a lot of luggage like us!

Location was close to subways, grocery stores and restaurants. No frills comfort without the hustle and bustle of busier areas like shinjuku and shubuya areas. Staff was also very helpful. Convenience of washer dryer, microwave and vending machine in hotel basement. Pleasantly surprised with breakfast buffet—-exceptional value for the quality and diversity of food.

Decor is a bit dated but that isn’t really important to our family.

just 2mins walk from Mejiro station yamanote line. when we arrived, there’s 3 bed set up but we requested to remove the other one so that we have space to move and open our luggages. after removing the 3rd bed, room is spacious. love their bathroom— it’s very spacious too. overall, bedroom is bigger than usual Tokyo hotel room size consider that we are a family of 3. buffet breakfast is good but same variety everyday. no need to bring your toiletries as you can get some near the reception area :) the area is so quiet unlike the shinjuku and shibuya area. few restaurants nearby if you wanna grab some meal. there’s also lawson, familymart and 7/11. my fav is the beauty store beside the hotel. they are selling almost the same items in donki.

Convenience to Mejiro Station is a plus; the property is well run with delightful, kind staff members, who helped me when I had a leg injury and needed to store one bag for a period. The bed was comfortable although rather small for 2. Like many Japanese hotels, the bed was pushed to the wall on one side but we were able to clear enough space for a leg to pass. This is a somewhat older hotel but is reasonably well kept. A nice and generous breakfast can be had for a small daily cost at the Gasto restaurant on the second floor where the food is served by robot driven carts.

The room was smaller than hoped, making for a very tight space for 2 people with a moderate suitcase and small carryon, each. I clumsily stubbed my entire forefoot on a protruding suitcase, as there was no way to move it entirely out of the way while still being able to open it without a hassle. The bathroom is adequate but small. An extra blanket and a few additional soft/fluffy pillows would have been a plus. Also, the front desk is not open 24 hours, so check with the hotel first, if you plan a late evening arrival beyond (I think it was) 10 PM.

The property felt safe and was conveniently located a short walk from the train station, konbinis, and other F&B shops. The staff was friendly, amenities were provided, and the room was spacious enough for two people. Transportation info to Narita and Haneda airport — among other hot spots — was also provided, which was very helpful.

We have booked 3 rooms in this hotel during our japanese sejour. First room, nice large room on the 9th floor. Second room ok, but smaller. Third room, the bed was agaisnt the wall, so one people has to sleep against the wall. Definitly smaller. It was time to leave Japan before to discover the 4th room...

For the breaskfast, there is a partnerwhip with the restaurant on the 1st floor. It is missing fresh products : canned fruit salad, industrial fruit juice, industrial marmelad... The English level is too low for most of the hostesses

Location was excellent. A lot of nearby hole in the wall restaurants and bars for a night cap. It was also very near the train station.

The room was very small. Clean, but difficult to move around for international travelers with huge luggage.

Great hotel and amazing location. Very close to Shinjuku, Shibuya and Ikebukuro via the JR Yamanote line. It was nice to return to Mejiro at the end of the day as it's more peaceful. Loved the big bath in our washroom. The pillows were perfect I wish I had them at my home. Room was also really big compared to usual Tokyo size rooms. The hotel staff was amazing, the kind lady at the counter in the morning had such nice energy and we were able to communicate very well using Google Translate and her translator device (due to my lack of Japanese). They were also so kind and allowed us to store our bag with them for a week. Thank you for everything.

Nothing - I liked everything

Location close to JR Mejiro in 2 min and close to all convienient stores and eating places. I chose a room with separate bathroom and toilet which are more roomy and feel compatible to stay for a week. Amenities and coffee and tea packets are available at the front desk.

A little bit hot at room. It was not easy to control a room temperature. The information maps are available but these are not obvious to find. If the front desk had told us when we checked in that would have been very useful. That's a shame that we found these info on the last day.
