Awesome location—just a 12-minute walk to Zona Romantica. The pools were super refreshing, and the view was incredible. The food at the Sunset Bar exceeded expectations, and the cocktail selection was surprisingly impressive. Great value and location compared to all the other big all inclusive hotels. There are 3 levels of all inclusive - blue (lowest), orange (middle), black (top), if you book through booking give them a call to see which color you are and see if you can upgrade. We didn’t know this until we checked in.

Staff were attentive and super friendly all week. Really enjoyed the food and the drinks throughout our 8 night stay. Can understand why some might prefer more variety in the menu choices day to day, but for us we had no complaints - either with the menus for dinner or in the buffet choices on offer. The quality of the food for breakfast, lunch and dinner was superb and exceeded our expectations. Service whether at the bar, the pool or the beach was very good. Our room was clean, bright and airy with good air-conditioning and mini-bar/fridge was maintained daily. Location near the old town and Malecon was just as we had hoped.

Some flexibility in booking restaurants ahead of time (maybe just to allow one advance booking). We missed the window for booking restaurants a few times e.g. when we had left early on an excursion. however it is only possible to make a reservation during a fixed 3 hr time slot for dinner that same evening.

All-inclusive is new to me. Buenaventura was what I imagine it must be like to be on a cruise ship, but without the ship! A lovely time. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, safe, easy, lots-of-English spoken, stress-free, lively, social, beach vacation -- this is perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location allows you to walk to many tourist sites (the Malecon, Gringo Gulch, Zona Romantica...) but it does require a walk, or an inexpensive taxi ride. An easy place to travel solo, even though it's largely families and couples. Very easy to strike up conversations. The all-inclusive alcohol is super cheap (obviously), so watch out for headaches! The food ranges from decent to pretty darn good. You can choose buffet or to have a more formal 'dining out' experience. Theme nights, activities, lots of people ready to happily wait on you. No complaints.

Things that surprised me -- the constant, loud music coming from everywhere, ALL THE TIME. This place is about FUN, NOT about peace and quiet. Bring your ear plugs if that's not your thing.

Limited restaurants for a all inclusive, booking with booking.com you can’t find out room or floor ahead, frustrated by front desk staff asked (Bryan) for inside room and rooms near friends and they only gave lips service and didn’t put us near each other, but the majority of the staff were awesome

Nice-sized property with great pools and location. Very good (though sometimes fair) food at the buffet all day long. Very nice staff with a mix of English speakers and not. A nice spa area with a private bath tub.

Service was mostly totally fine, but there were some waiters at the pool who were much more attentive than others, so it was a little hit or miss. Many times we were in the lobby and other public areas, there was the typical "upselling" by the concierge to see the property next door so we didn't love that.

So happy to find such a beautiful, staff friendly, all-inclusive resort soooo… close to the downtown PV area! An easy 15 min walk to the Malecón!

For the most part, the staff were pretty amazing in their caring and friendly helpful natures… however some perhaps newer or younger buffet restaurant staff tended to be a little less respectful of the guests, I would think that the senior staff will set them straight as they all took their jobs in courtesy very seriously.

1) The all inclusive property disappointed us when they closed off areas we were using - exiting us from the adult pool area- for the purpose of a private wedding event. This felt unfair because we paid to have use of all areas of the pool. We then were forced to be in a pool filled with noisy children. 2) the salt and pepper shakers in the buffet restaurant do not shake out the salt or pepper because they are filled with moisture from the humidity. The restaurant needs to address this issue. 3) the maid service does not consistently provide coffee set ups in the rooms.

Property is very close to the city center and it will typically cost about 5USD via Uber. Also there are several shops and restaurants nearby. The beach is clean. The rooms and grounds too are clean.

We were told Deluxe room was seaview and that’s not true. Not all their Deluxe rooms are ocean facing. The asked and answered questions on Booking too points to this misleading information. When I complained to the manager and showed him the affirmative answer I got in response to the question if “Deluxe was ocean view?”, his response was that they don’t manage their account on Booking.com directly and the agent who responded provided the wrong response/information. Food was good but not enough choices if you’re staying more than 4 days.

What didn’t I like about it!? Food was so good! We signed up for the theme dinner each night. You can make reservations at the Concierge desk at 9am, get there a little early to line up. Servers at the pool were so friendly, especially Jorge! What an all around great guy! Everything was very clean. We had the same waiters for our dinner and they provided amazing service (can’t remember their names). The singer we had in the lobby was so good. You should have him all the time. The other 2 nights it was a DJ. The Violinist in the Sky Bar was so talented, as well as the Flutist that played at dinner.

I wished the music they played in the lobby went until 11pm, not 9:30pm.
