I booked last minute at S31 due to cancellation from another hotel. I ended up chosing S31 due to room price for family that had a bathtub, and location. My family stayed for 5 nights. All staff provided exceptional customer service. In particular the reception staff that night (I didn’t get her name unfortunately) who booked the larger area sized room that made my family comfortable during our stay. And the buffet breakfast was one of the best we’ve eaten in Thailand. Everything tasted delicious from the noodle soup, hot food stored in Le Creset cast iron pots, fruit options, and pastries that were still crispy. I also used the pool with my kids and we all enjoyed. I rented a car and hotel had a lot of free parking spaces.

Nothing I can think of for the price and location.

really hard to get taxis because of the traffic. if you have a flight to catch after 4.00pm allow an hour for your taxi to get to your location.

An award winning hotel year after year, and I can see why. It’s in a great location, a short walk from Sukhumvit train station with link to the airport and the Blue Line. Our first contact was with Mr Jack the concierge who looked after us wonderfully throughout our stay. All door staff were fantastic. Check in was easy. We were provided a ride in the hotel tuk tuk to get to a nearby venue and Mr Jack arrange an inexpensive taxi service for our trip to the airport. Although we did not use them we saw a great gym, pool and sauna and shower room. Breakfast was amazing - local and international food on offer and the chef cooking requests in front of us. Our room was a suite and it was huge and had great views of the local city area. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was perfect for us. The local area had an abundance of bars and restaurants and massage on offer. Two massive shopping centre across the road. Travellers note that all ATMs will charge 250 baht for any amount of cash out, but there are plenty of money exchange businesses close by that don’t charge this fee.

Nothing we did not like.

Breakfast: Options wasn't the biggest I've seen, but it is delicious. Room: Stayed at the Panaroma Suite. Size of the room is ginormous. Bed was very comfortable. No sewage smell from the toilet (some old hotels in Bangkok has that) Food: Tried their Pad Krapow and Pad Thai (room service delivery from Cafe at Lvl1), both were very delicious! Location: A little walking distance towards the nearest BTS (Phrom Phong and Asoke), but not too tiring. Traffic jams are bad but to be expected. Has complimentary tuk-tuk service to take you anywhere nearby.

Room: Stayed at the Panaroma Suite. Stairs up/down could be tiring. Sunlight from the windows by the stairs can be annoying if you're trying to sleep in as there are no curtains there. Aircon was too cold; the temperature was LOWER than what I've set for my entire stay. Bar: Went up one day and was found it was closed (though it says open on Google Maps).

The breakfast was really good. It had a lot of choices. The room had a great view. The staff were super helpful. I liked that all the toilets had a bidet. Room service was OK.

It was pretty pricey. The drain in my tub didn't work. The design of the shower door made it so water leaked onto the bathroom floor. The bed didn't feel like a bed that should be in a 5-star hotel. It was very large, but it felt like 2 beds put together as there was uneven firmness in the bed itself. The sheets and pillows were great though, and the size was huge.

We enjoyed the room, very nice design and comfy bed, also the bathroom we liked, although quite strange that the washbasin was outside :D The breakfast we liked the most, it was incredible with a lot of variety. I could enjoy the gym and the pool area as well, you have a shower there next to the gym you can use. The staff were also very kind, opening the door to us every time, thank you. 7-Eleven and three good malls also very nearby.

I will definitely come back to S31 Sukhumvit. The service from concierge to reception and the cleaners are super nice. They are all very attentive and accomodating. The concierge, when you arrive from a long day tour outside is always ready by the door with a big smile and to help you with your things. The whole room size is big, the toilet and bath are clean and has enough room, unlike other hotels who has a very small toilet and bath. Breakfast has a lot of options and delicious. Older hotel but in excellent condition with a fantastic staff and lots of cool extras like a full gym and pool in the sun. Also has a steam room and sauna in the locker room on the 9th floor. I booked a 2 floor suite on both stays and it was so quiet. The bed was bigger then my California King and I had the best nights sleep the days I stayed there. Will definitely come again! I stayed twice like 2 weeks apart and in my second arrival the doorman remembered me and said “welcome home”. They also let me check in early without any fuss. The hotel S31 is right across the street from a new mall EMSPHERE with a massive food court with excellent food and upscale shopping.

The only issue I had is that the rain shower leaked all over the floor in the bathroom.

Location is very good, near Emporium and other malls and near to Phrom Phong train station. Breakfast is fine for any kind of palate, with many choices. Room is spacious and bed is very wide. Nice gym, with good machines and even a boxing ring.

not flexible with invoicing. After reserving for 4 days, I added a second reservation for the fifth day and I asked the receptionist to merge together and issue one only invoice for simplification, and they refused saying that they need to issue one invoice for each booking.
