Nice hotel in a good location. The staff are great and super helpful. As someone else has already said definitely the best ever scrambled egg at a buffet breakfast.

It would be great if they provided clearer instructions for accessing the car park and the layout of the car park. I drove around Arrass twice as I missed it first time round the one way whilst following directions to the hotel which is further on round the one way system. Also I parked at the furthest point from the HIE access as the layout of the car park isn't explained. Also grieved to see that rooms were going at a third of the price for turn ups one the day. Apparently the Booking.com rate is a premium rate. Didn't get any Genius benefits and the breakfast (which was good) is not optional.

The room was very comfortable, not noisy considering the proximity to the railway station. All facilities in the room functioned without problem - There was a mini fridge, tea & coffee, air conditioning. The shower was excellent. Breakfast provided a very wide choice, all very good, from early morning. Packed breakfasts were possible if arranged in advance. Plates were constantly replenished and the whole area was kept clean and tidy despite being busy. There were also luggage trolleys at the disposal of guests, which was a great help. The hotel was fairly close to the the town centre where many restaurants could be found. Staff were friendly and responsive.

An alternative option for bedding would have been appreciated. The coffee machines and toaster in the breakfast room were very noisy. The reception staff could all speak English, but with regard to reaching the dedicated parking area, instructions could have been clearer. We later discovered town maps at a different part of the reception desk and it would have been nice to have been offered one at the start of our stay and might have avoided us using the wrong car park.

Spacious rooms, which were cleaned on a daily basis. The beds were comfortable. We slept very well. The bathroom had everything one would need for a short (3 night) stay and in particular the shower was excellent. The staff was very friendly and supportive. It was definitely a plus to us they all spoke english. Parking facility below the hotel was great and easily accessible. We traveled on motorcycles and we could park for free. The hotel is located just a 5-7 minutes walk from city center. Two large squares, connected by a pedestrian's area and surrounded by beautiful buildings was a nice surprise.

We selected the hotel based on positive comments about the breakfast. It was not bad at all - for example, fresh croissants every day! - but we would have appreciated it more if there was more to chose between different types of bread and sandwich toppings.

The staff were very kind, the rooms were clean, the beds excellent - we all slept very well - and the breakfast was tasty (a hundred times better than HIEX in the UK), the location was perfect - near to the station but very quiet. Ten minute walk to Carrière Wellington in one direction and town centre in the other, easy to get in and out with the car. The rooms were perhaps a little on the dark side, the WiFi was temperamental and there was no milk to go with the coffee (instant), but it would be churlish to moan at such an excellent price (we stayed during the first week of April, just before the French state schools in the area broke up and the week before UK state schools, so hardly any tourists, in the hotel or in the town itself). Would happily stay again.

Lovely clean room, with quality shower and fittings in the bathroom. Breakfast was included in the rate, and we were both pleasantly surprised how good it was.

The hotel is let down by the parking options. We followed the sat nav and road sign into a municipal car park at the back of the hotel. Whilst the car was ok, it didn't look very secure with poor lighting, no obvious security cameras covering the majority of the car park, and drunks hanging around. When we got into the hotel I asked if that was the correct car park and was advised they didn't have a car park, but I could alternatively park in an underground car park for something like 12 euros. I was surprised Holiday Inn didn't have their own car park or an arrangement with the car park provider. I checked reviews for that car park and that too suffers with drunks and people urinating.

We had never stayed in this group of hotels before and upon arriving were greeted by friendly and helpful reception staff. The lifts are beside reception and entered onto the 2nd floor room. The bedroom was very spacious with a walk in shower and toilet separate. Lovely fluffy towels and plenty of shower, wash and hair products. Tea and coffee products with mugs and kettle provided. The beds were very comfortable. One floor down from reception was the breakfast room with very polite and helpful staff each morning. The breakfast was hot and cold options which you served yourself and was plentiful. In the bar area they serve ready made dishes should you require a hot snack - we enjoyed these and used this service on 3 evenings. The hotel is across the road from the train station and a ten minute walk into town.

My only small item would be to have a safe in the room. You can put items in the office safe but did not use this as it seemed easier to have one in the room rather than bother staff.

room was lovely - comfortable temperature - well kept and beds were comfortable - the staff were an absolute delight - the breakfast was lovely and the bacon was done to perfection - lots to chose from and staff replaced food straight away so nothing was ever missing and all hot food was actually hot - the stairs leading to the reception at the hotel were of a marble appearance and were never dirty they looked great - so close to the centre of town like 3 minute walk and opposite the train station but no noise from the trains i actually didn't want to leave

there was nothing i didn't like - i would love to visit again and definitely go back to the holiday inn - the experience was so good that i booked another holiday inn for the next part of my journey

the hotel was in a great place for exploring the city we had eaten out the first night and after a long morning of visiting some ww1 museums outside the town we stayed in the bar our grandson had great fun n the games machine and playing foozball all free he ate pizza and we ate two different jar meals it was nice to relax in the bar area had a fridge and kettle in room loved the place will be back breakfast was nice

the sat nav driections on google were bad it directed us to the rear of the hotel we ended up doing a italian job taking the car down some steps you couldn not see they looked flat and over the pavement. we did find the car park onc e we had things improved. the room would be fine for a couple but when the bed whihc was made not put down when we arrived and actually seemed to be working properly not like the previous holiday inn express we stayed in valencia we could not walk round the bed when it was down. our gransdon said it was not very comfortable. he has slept on put u up beds on our trips so does have comparisons, even when we put it up in day the seat wasnt lying right it was very bulky.

Great service at the bar, pizzas were yummy. Convenient hour’s drive from Eurotunnel. Family room was perfect for a one night stay, breakfast was great.

We had some issues with the electric vehicle charging. I booked this place as it said it had an electric charger, but there was some confusion with this resulting in my husband getting a call around midnight (to our room phone with two young children sleeping) asking him to move the car as someone else needed the charger. He had to drive around the town to find another charger then had to sit with the car until it was charged up in order for us to get to Calais the next morning.

Fantastic Staff - Couldn't be more helpful. Big clean family room. The bar Pizza was really good. A very good choice of craft beer and lager. We had to check out before breakfast and the staff sorted a take away bag for us. Also it is in the centre of Arras if you decide to eat out. Free parking at rear if your there after 5pm and leave before 8am This is written taking into consideration it is not a 5* hotel. Great value and we would definitely use again.

Not negative but areas we think would improve on the above - A couple more tea bags and milk cartons (4 instead of 2) in the room - Yes you can ask for more but it would save hassle. The gym could do with a couple of free weights and a cross trainer that works. The exterior of the hotel is tired but dont judge. It's nice inside.
