Location and charm of the hotel. Size of the room

Coffee making facilities, a fridge and bottled drinking water in the rooms would be great additions.

What impresed us the most was the receptionist (Ishmael). He was always looking out for us and our well-being, always wanting to know if all was ok. Our room was very spacious, as was the bathroom with a seperate toilet. The staff was there every day to clean. The breakfast was superb. I chose the Continental breakfast which was brought to the room with a pot of coffee, milk, 3 or 4 kinds of brioche (with butter and 2 types of jam) and freshly squeezed orange juice. My husband had the full breakfast in the breafast room with eggs, bacon, etc. Also, the terrace was very nicely landscaped with tables and chairs to enjoy a meal, a drink or just to relax. Spacious parking also.

As I mention with most reviews we could always used more hooks and outlets for charging our electronics.

Incredible level of service. Nothing the staff couldn't do to be of service. That includes giving us advice on the best places to go for food and drinks, visits etc. Great knowledge and enthusiasm for the town. The hotel courtyard is beautiful and the breakfast so fresh and of great quality. The room is old style so didn't expect the latest design or tech. However, the run was gigantic compare to today's standard and very clean, very quiet too. Absolutely would recommend staying there. To top it all up, on the weekend we were there, no taxis were available. We could have walked to the station which is 10 mins away, it taken the bus but they gallantly helped us and drove us to the station. What else do you want?

In our room, the air conditioner was fiddly. We were expecting old style rings (the home is in the name of the hotel) so no problems there. But some people might not appreciate that.

Lovely, quiet setting. Small but cozy and comfortable room. Nice big bathroom. Great location just outside old town walls but easy walk to all restaurants and shops in old town. Free parking lot just across the street. Busy but we always found a spot. Can pay to park on the premises. Great starting point for vineyard bike rides!

We had just sat down in the pretty courtyard sitting area to eat a little picnic lunch. We were told we couldn't sit there unless we purchased something from the hotel bar. What a joke. We were hotel guests!! No one else was around. We ate hotel breakfast only once. It was mediocre. Can find better in town. (Try Marty for good crepes and coffee!)

The staff went over and above. We were greeted as we pulled in and he showed us where to park, suggested and called in reservations for dinner at a local restaurant, brought us a wine opener and glasses, and even set up a patio umbrella, so that we could have refreshments in the courtyard. The room was perfectly clean and functional, location about a 5-10 min walk to "historic district" where all the shops and cafe's are. Really good breakfast every morning. It felt like they appreciate having American guests!

Very friendly and attentive staff. Nice breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice every morning. Air conditioning kept us comfortable when weather got hot. Lovely old building, peaceful and quiet. Our suite was spacious and comfortable. Great location - short walk both to the old town and to the vineyards.

No lift - we are an elderly couple aged 77 and 78 and for us the stairs were steep and dangerous. No fridge. No tea/coffee making facilities in room.

We stayed at the hotel for x2 nights en route to Italy in our car. The hotel was perfect for our stay. It is very close to the centre of Beaune & has an excellent, secure car park on site. On arrival a member of staff came out immediately to show us where to park. All the staff we met were extremely friendly & efficient. Our room was very large & all extremely clean....the bed & pillows were very comfortable. The breakfasts were generous &, apart from the usual bread rolls (delicious!), jams, we were also offered cheese/ham etc. Again, the breakfast staff were so welcoming & the whole hotel has a lovely, friendly feel to it. I was even able to order a lovely pot of afternoon tea in the cosy lounge area after a long day's site seeing. Would thoroughly recommend.

This was our second stay at this elegant property, the first nearly 10 years ago, and it was good to see that nothing has changed. Our room (suite) was very large and comfortable and, as it faced the interior courtyard, extremely quiet. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The off-street parking in an enclosed area was convenient and secure. The location is perfect - just outside the busy area of town but only a 5 minute walk away. This will remain our first choice for a hotel in Beaune.

Not a thing.

The location is great, very close to the ringroad of Beaune and yet very quiet. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are very clean, and have an oldfashioned vibe. Ease to park, but not for free.

Our bathroom was odd shaped: a long, narrow room. Even our bathtub was smaller than normal. It wasn't easy to shower in the tub and keep the room dry. The room were very clean, but basic. Extra amenities were poor. No glasses in the room, just 2 paper cups. Breakfast is ok, but does not change ...

The Belle Epoque is a beautiful hotel. The staff are outstandingly helpful and efficient. We apreciated the convenience of on-site parking, and chargers are available. The breakfast is a perfect example of the French breakfast presented to your table immediately. We enjoyed our stay so much we returned for another couple of days the following week. The hotel is a 3-minute walk from the heart of Beaune where the lovely shops, wineries, and busy cafes, bistros and elegant restaurants are just what the visitor to France has been looking forward to.

Would have liked a lift, but this is an old building.
