A very nice location in a beautiful building, near to the centre of Beaune. The rooms are extremely spacious with a bathroom and small kitchen. usually there is a balcony with views over the local vineyards. The staff are very polite and helpful. Parking is secure, behind locked gates. It is a bargain in a lovely town with some of the finest wine ..........

Air conditioning was not working. Breakfast was finished at 9;30 but we were not informed of this. The waiter was helpful though, and produced some items.

Such a lovely building from the outside. We weren't expecting it to be a home for the elderly, but it was quite funny when we realised! Such a great idea though as it was lovely and quiet. The room was very large and felt a bit empty. The balcony had views of trees and across to a vineyard from the corner. It was a bit of a strange set up but was perfectly located, just a short walk into Beaune. Perfect for what we needed but probably wouldn't stay much longer than one night.

Just be aware that the apartment is within a home for the elderly. It isn't a bad thing, just may not be everyone's cup of tea. But we thought it was a great idea and didn't have any problems. Google maps will take you round the back of the building so ignore the GPS and look for the Villa Medicis, Residence services entrance on the main road.

Very spacious and immaculately clean. French widows opening onto a small part of the garden. Everything was very well organised with gated safe parking. There were two large rooms, both with very large double beds, one had an ensuite bathroom and the other a small kitchenette and a dining table with four chairs.

The only small problem was the bathroom, which was basically quite a large wet room. Nothing wrong with that, but the floor did not slope down to the drain immediately under the shower,, which meant that almost the whole room was covered in water after having a shower, including all round the loo! It would have helpful if there had been some sort of long handled squeegee to push the water towards the drain.

Air conditioning broken and was one of my key criteria for hotel selection. Had to ask for towels as not in room Is also a retirement home so all rooms are wheelchair accessible which is good but the usual stupid European no shower screen and floor gets saturated so you have to mop entire room each time !? Very easily fixed with a shower screen ..

Contrary to several comments I read about the place, it is clear that it is a residence for the elderly that rents out vacant rooms to external guests. I also read the complaint about the curtain not darkening the room: there is an electric blind installed in each room window that makes it completely dark! The place is beautiful, with an incredible view of a vineyard, and the staff is very polite and welcoming. Excellent breakfast with delicious cheeses and breads.

A somewhat strange hotel that is simultaneously a hotel and also offers flats for senior citizens and the elderly. But that purely aside. Perfect place for a stopover on (return) way to the (north/)south, especially for people taking their bikes on holiday. The hotel offers a secure on-site parking area, where we could simply leave our electric bikes on the back of the car without worry. Beaune city centre is within walking distance from the hotel and is definitely worth a visit (especially the Hôtel Dieu, not to be missed!). The hotel is quiet, a bit away from the street and traffic. We had a comfortable fully equiped appartment with fine bed and clean sanitary facilities. Breakfast is typically French, but certainly satisfactory. Very satisfied, we would stay there again should the opportunity arise.

Huge family room For those who read all the reviews- I discovered before we we arrived that it was part of an assisted living facility ( from other reviews) But it made no difference to our stay The room was super spacious Common areas super maintained Staff lovely; everything you expect from quality accommodation I would have liked to meet some of the residents but we didn’t ( probably a good thing due to health concerns) What a wonderful place to stay in Beaune Highly recommend. The best hotels in London and Paris have permanent residents. This is no different ( ignore any reviews that are negative about being part of serviced living apartments - I truly think that it is a plus - would stay somewhere like this again)

Lovely location and a great apt. We were late to check in. We did eventually get through by phone and got gate code and there was someone on reception to give us room key. They could have given us gate in advance and let us know that front desk was manned but all was well in the end and we enjoyed our stay and excellent value!

Functional and clean studio apartment, free parking, walking distance to town centre, very quiet.

The bed (1m40) was comfortable (firm mattress) but a bit small for two. The pillows could be upgraded. There is no sofa so not super cosy if you want to sit in and watch TV. Minimalist equipment, we had to share the one large teacup. Only French domestic TV channels.

They are clean and well furnished with bed and bath towels and amenities. Breakfast and dinner are available for an extra charge, and you can use the laundry room if you ask at the front desk. I highly recommend this hotel for supermarkets and sightseeing.

The kitchen is simple and has no oven, so it is not possible to cook well. It would be good to see the kitchen before deciding whether to use the restaurant.
